My hair is very fine and I really need the clips to secure on the rollers. How do I get the additional comb clips? They only send three with the kit. I can't see anything on the web that allows you to order just the comb clips. Question posted by Joan Cox Thu Jan 10 2008 Submit your answer Which one to get- travel or other
I am not sure which one to get, or if there is any advantage to getting the one that is not the travel one. Question posted by M. Craig Sun Dec 02 2007 Submit your answer Is this really dual voltage?
I purchased a new Caruso Steam Hairsetter because of advertised dual voltage capability. My old white Caruso hairsetter that I still use (need to add salt) is terrific but was not advertised as dual voltage. However, I've turned the newly purchased heating unit over and it's listed as 120, 150W, and nowhere does it say it's dual voltage. I'm leaving on a trip to Europe and really need 240. I hate that you can't call the company to get immediate information on this product. I've read through all the reviews and nowhere has anyone addressed the dual voltage issue. Please reply as quickly as possible. Question posted by Carol Tue Jul 03 2007 Submit your answer | Reply by Peggy

You are correct. The Caruso is the only product that works on my hair, and the last two that I purchased said it is dual voltage, but it is not!!!! I travel all over the world and I have to use an voltage adapter. I am going to see if my friends in the UK can get this product in a 240V madel, as I have other hair appliances in the 240V range. | | Reply by khristy

You can probably just get an adapter for foreign use. It plugs in to your unit then into the wall jack. There are different kits so make sure you get the one you need. | Which Caruso holds up and which does not?
It seems like a lot of these reviews don't even refer to the product on this page, the SalonPro 30 Molecular Steam Hairsetter. Many people refer to old Caruso sets they had several years ago. I'm concerned about this because the reviews for one of the other Caruso sets on Folica were not good; most people said they broke down quickly. I noticed a few people said that about this product, too. So which Caruso set is the "good" one? Which one does not break down quickly? If you own a SalonPro 30 Molecular Steam, please share how long you have had it, and if you've had any problems. Thanks! I have had my SalonPro30 for almost a year, today I can hardly get it to put out any steam and I can not find any info. as to cleaning instructions or if it is bitting the dust. I do think the one that I had to put salt in was better I had it for years. | | Reply by Betty

I have had eight - yes 8! - Steam Hairsetters from Caruso. They each last less than a year, no matter what I do - empty after each use, use distilled water, clean every month with vinegar. But there is nothing else on the market I can find that gives the gentle curl that these do. So I have decided I'll keep paying $40 a year for those curls! | salt
I would like to know if the curlers not using salt curl as well as the one that I have had for years using salt. Question posted by sharon Tue Aug 09 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by Dolly

They both worked on my hair, the problem I have had, and I guess many others, is the new steamers do not last no matter what I do, vinegar to clean, distilled water, regular tap water, the new ones just won't last more than a few months, so like the other review I just keep buying them. |
