The curved plates in the smaller width on this iron makes it the essential tool for creating body and lift at your roots, and volume and fullness at the ends. Ceramic ionic technology creates a healthy static-free shine, while creating silky smooth styles with tons of volume. Negative ionic activity counteracts the positive charge in your hair to straighten and smooth hair from the inside out with gentle, far infrared heat. The curved edge plates also allow you to create curls, flips, and waves with body and shine. Variable temperature settings from 302 to 356 degrees F, ergonomic design.

    Takes some getting used to...
    Reviewer: Lindsay from IL   2008-11-20

This iron is NOT a flat iron, but it is great for volume at the roots, to smooth out hair, curl under ends, flip out ends or spiral curls. Some people don't realize this and it doesn't meet their expectations. I love what it does, but you have to use it correctly.

    I Love It!
Reviewer: Cheryl from Berea, Ohio   2008-08-05

I like Chi products so I have purchased many for myself and my daughters. I could never find the right one for my short, fine hair. This is it. With a good haircut and my iron I honestly get compliments almost every time I go out. I honestly feel like it was made just for me!

    Just Ok
    Reviewer: Daphne from oklahoma   2008-06-07

I think iron is ok,but for the money you pay for it I think that it is not worth it. Everyone elses striaghtner that I use seems to work much better than this one.

Very Disappointed - Pulls My Hair Out !
Reviewer: Iris from Los Angeles, CA   2008-01-21

I had a Chi flat iron that I loved but broke, so I decided to buy the volumizing iron for my fine hair. I Hate It! In fact, I have stopped using it and bought another flat iron. I bought the volumizing iron because I wanted to put volume and curls into my fine hair. However, even when I take very small sections of hair, my hair catches on the "grooves" that are on the iron and it pulls some of my hair out! Ouch! I believe the grooves are the issue. If the iron didn't have the grooves, I'd probably write a better review. My advice, don't buy it!
