Yes, this curling iron is a bit more pricey than the drugstore brands - but it's absolutely worth every penny! I have extremely straight Asian hair. Whenever I'd curl my hair it'd never hold for long. With my Chi, it's lasts all day...even with the humidity of rainy days! I highly recommend this product!
it's ok

I'm trying to find the best curling method for my vey thick, long hair. I wasn't very impressed with this curling iron. The Enzo Milano works much better and stays longer. But I have yet to try curling my hair with a flat iron...
Chi Doesn't Disappoint

I have been a fan of Chi hair and styling products for years. I bought the 1 1/2 inch jumbo curling iron to replace a Tigi BedHead curling iron that decided to burn some of my hair off one morning. I wish I would have made this purchase a lot sooner. The curling iron is great, heats up fast, produces great lasting curls, is easy to use, and I like that I can lower or increase the heat settings. Like all the other products and tools I have used, Chi is simply exceptional. Worth every penny!
Not worth the money

I have tried a good amount of curling irons over the years, and figured if I was paying $110 for a curling iron it was going to be amazing. Well, I'd rather use my conair curling iron than this one (although it probably causes much less hair damage). The chi just does not produce lasting curls, and hair does not feel as smooth as it should afterwards. I am sorely disappointed and will be returning my purchase in lieu of a cheaper product that will most likely produce similar results.

I purchased this curling iron last summer, and I am very pleased with it. This is good but not as good as the FHI curling iron. This iron curls your hair very well, however the curls are very soft. I actually use the irons as a straightner plus a curler. IT left my hair feeling bouncy and soft.
curls hold all day!

I've never written review on any of my online purchases but this curling iron is the best by far that I have tried. I usually have to put a ton of hair spray in my hair for my curls to hold, and I barley spritzed and woke up with curls still in tact. I ordered the 1" and I kinda wish I went for the 1 1/2". the 1" curls are great but I think I would like something a little looser.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Did not work right out of the box. The unit will come on for about fifteen seconds, then shut itself off. What a disappoinment.
The BEST curling iron ever

I have thick, course, and resistant hair and this curling iron makes it so easy to style. Obviously the Chi straightening iron is great, but if you don't have time to get your hair stick straight, this product will provide you will long lasting curls. Because it's such good quality, you don't have to spend a ton of time waiting for the curls to set. I purchased the 1 1/2" one and it's great for getting big smooth waves in, that last all day!
