I put a pump size all over my hair, then blow dry, and it made my hair not as wavy! and it was easier to straighten my hair. i also use the Chi Silk Infusion after i blow dry, then straighten, and my hair is so so smooth and soft. it made a change to my hair, my hair is healthier now

I love this product. I have medium-long, thick, wavy hair. I use this before I flat-iron and it helps my hair straighten easier and resist humidity. But it never builds up or looks greasy. Smells wonderful too.

my hair is so frustrating to deal with! i walk to school everyday and by the time i get to school my hair is big and frizzy from the humidity (all that sraightning for nothing!) but sense previously using this product my hair stayed in place all day ! if it ccan work miracles on my frizzy huge curly hair it will work great in virtually anyone!!!

I got this product as a present or stocking stuffer for Christmas. I've seen the price for it and then compared. I didn't use to use heat protector so my hair was damaged a little to start with. However, this product does not seem to protect my hair from heat very well, and it also does not give as much shine and softness that I was expecting. If it was a lot cheaper then I would buy it, but for the cost it is, I prefer other drug stores brands.

This is the only CHI thing that I have owned. I use a Andis flat iron and use this after I'm done straightning for the tips of my roots that I couldnt get straight. I get compliments all the time that my hair looks good. You MUST use a heat protectant, I wasn't and my hair was so dry, I didn't notice it was until I used Tresemme stuff and saw how silky and soft my hair is now. It's time for me to get some more. It lasted me a few months! Don't use too much or it will flake like hairspray and can get greasy.

Just turned 60 and wonder where this product has been all my life. After reading the great reviews, I decided to try it since I needed something to get to free shipping anyway.
My hair is embarrassingly curly and the the frizz is unbearable when humidity gets above about 40% which is more often than not here in North Carolina. I got hooked the first day I used Chi Straight Guard. It was a humid morning when I walked the dogs and I was delighted there was no frizz when I got home. Best of all, it still looked and felt good after the humidity and a round of golf!
I just put it on after washing and then blow it dry. I'm anxious to see what it does with no blow dry. I love that I no longer have to feel like a freak of nature!

I have some pretty awful kinky hair. I use this product with a leave-in conditioner, and I noticed that even when I don't flat iron or curl-iron my hair, it's noticeably straighter and smoother. The only thing I will say is it is not a substitute for a leave-in conditioner and does not seem to protect against damage, so I still need my protective treatments, but if you want a way to quicken straightening time, this does work pretty darn well.

I wait until I'm about to blow-dry my hair (which is when it's damp)& put a liberal amount on. It comes out sooo smooth & shiny! I also put a tiny amount on before I flat iron it to give it that extra boost.
I love it, worth the money.

The Chi line of products works wonderful on my hair. I have naturally wavy and colored treated hair. It's very difficult to get my hair straight and frizz free but using this product my hair feels silky and straight. I love the smell. I am recommending Chi products and this website to my friends and co-workers.

This was the first CHI product I bought and have been thru many products like this, but didn't really like them. However, I am in love with this! I absolutely love the smell of it and it makes my hair so much straighter and healthier looking. Give it a try and i'm sure you will love it! I will only but CHI products from now on!

This is the absolute best hair straightener I have ever used. It leaves hair smooth, shiny and totally straight. I don't even need to use my flat iron anymore.

The product is great, it doesn't over dry the hair, it has a nice fragrance. I use it even when I just want to leave my hair curly, it cuts down on the frizz.
Even if it didn't work, it smells GREAT!

Seriously, I got this product when I purchased my flat iron, and I only added this to my list so I would get the free shipping...now I'm inLOVE! This cream smells delicious, and even after hours I can still smell it on my hair. It's not oily, and my hair is so fine that it's easy for a styling product to weigh it down and make it look dirty: but not this one! I TOTALLY recommend it! I hope all CHI products are as good as this one, because I just ordered 4 different ones!

This is a WONDERFUL product! I received several products ordered from Folica recently, so I couldn't wait to try them all....it was like Christmas in October ;)
I washed my hair tonight, used the CHI Straight Guard Smoothing Cream while my hair was damp, and decided to let it air-dry until the morning when I plan to use my new Sedu flat iron. It's finally dry, and it is so smooth, straight and shiny it almost looks as though I already ironed it!!! I'm not kidding, except for some soft curl at the bottom, my hair is smooth and silky. If you are looking for a product that works, I'm positive this won't disappoint. I am not sure this product will work so well on coarser hair, but if you plan on flat ironing anyway this would give it an extra edge. My hair is very long (below my waist), one length, colour treated blond, and normally very kinky and frizzy (bleach fried look), though this made it look HEALTHY again. I will never be able to use anything else now, no comparison. On days I feel too lazy to flat iron, this works as close to ironing as possible, with no effort.
On an added note, this was my first experience with ordering from Folica, and I was incredibly impressed with products, variety, pricing, speed of delivery and customer service. I'm in Ontario Canada, and the first of my items arrived within 3 days, I've now purchased much more, and plan to in the future. No more beauty shop/drug store for me! They had everything I was looking for, at far better prices than I could get locally, and a huge variety of items I haven't even seen before. My mom even made me place an order for her, as she couldn't locate it anywhere else (it's German made), and she'd broken an older one of hers.
Keep up the great work Folica, you've just made a customer for life.

I purchased this b/c all I ever heard was CHI this & ChI does that!!! It felt putting toothpaste in my hair!!! It didn't do anything but, make my hair MUCH MUCH MORE DRYER!!!! This product is OVER-RATED!!!! Don't waste your money on this!!! Try Paul Michell's Skinny Serum its AWESOME!!!!!

I have extremely curly, frizzy hair. This product does work well with a flat iron. It straightens & holds through Chicago humidity. Alot of people are complaining about the smell which I don't get. It smells fine.(& I'm real "smell" sensitive) The fragrance goes away anyways.

This product does a pretty good job of keeping the hair soft and straight. It is light and doesn't seem to weigh heavy on the hair. It keeps the hair soft. I think this is a good product and seemed to work well for me until I found Zero Frizz which works even better and for less money.
