This is the absolute best hair straightener I have ever used. It leaves hair smooth, shiny and totally straight. I don't even need to use my flat iron anymore.
I recommend this product highly!

The product is great, it doesn't over dry the hair, it has a nice fragrance. I use it even when I just want to leave my hair curly, it cuts down on the frizz.
Even if it didn't work, it smells GREAT!

Seriously, I got this product when I purchased my flat iron, and I only added this to my list so I would get the free shipping...now I'm inLOVE! This cream smells delicious, and even after hours I can still smell it on my hair. It's not oily, and my hair is so fine that it's easy for a styling product to weigh it down and make it look dirty: but not this one! I TOTALLY recommend it! I hope all CHI products are as good as this one, because I just ordered 4 different ones!

This is a WONDERFUL product! I received several products ordered from Folica recently, so I couldn't wait to try them all....it was like Christmas in October ;)
I washed my hair tonight, used the CHI Straight Guard Smoothing Cream while my hair was damp, and decided to let it air-dry until the morning when I plan to use my new Sedu flat iron. It's finally dry, and it is so smooth, straight and shiny it almost looks as though I already ironed it!!! I'm not kidding, except for some soft curl at the bottom, my hair is smooth and silky. If you are looking for a product that works, I'm positive this won't disappoint. I am not sure this product will work so well on coarser hair, but if you plan on flat ironing anyway this would give it an extra edge. My hair is very long (below my waist), one length, colour treated blond, and normally very kinky and frizzy (bleach fried look), though this made it look HEALTHY again. I will never be able to use anything else now, no comparison. On days I feel too lazy to flat iron, this works as close to ironing as possible, with no effort.
On an added note, this was my first experience with ordering from Folica, and I was incredibly impressed with products, variety, pricing, speed of delivery and customer service. I'm in Ontario Canada, and the first of my items arrived within 3 days, I've now purchased much more, and plan to in the future. No more beauty shop/drug store for me! They had everything I was looking for, at far better prices than I could get locally, and a huge variety of items I haven't even seen before. My mom even made me place an order for her, as she couldn't locate it anywhere else (it's German made), and she'd broken an older one of hers.
Keep up the great work Folica, you've just made a customer for life.

I purchased this b/c all I ever heard was CHI this & ChI does that!!! It felt putting toothpaste in my hair!!! It didn't do anything but, make my hair MUCH MUCH MORE DRYER!!!! This product is OVER-RATED!!!! Don't waste your money on this!!! Try Paul Michell's Skinny Serum its AWESOME!!!!!

I have extremely curly, frizzy hair. This product does work well with a flat iron. It straightens & holds through Chicago humidity. Alot of people are complaining about the smell which I don't get. It smells fine.(& I'm real "smell" sensitive) The fragrance goes away anyways.

This product does a pretty good job of keeping the hair soft and straight. It is light and doesn't seem to weigh heavy on the hair. It keeps the hair soft. I think this is a good product and seemed to work well for me until I found Zero Frizz which works even better and for less money.
Not happy with product.

Totally love the iron but the Chi Straight Guard Smoothing Cream doesn't work as well as I would hope. I do not recomend this product for hair that is dri or fizzy.

Very nice product. I have long thick slightly wavy hair and this product helps to keep it straight upon blow drying, without drying it out and without making it feel like you have product in your hair. It has a very perfumy smell which dissipates so your head doesn't really smell perfumy after you spread it through your hair.

i love the chi straightning guard!!!! i used it and my hair is usually frizzy and has really ugly waves. but i used this and it made my hair almost perfectly straight and my hair didn't burn (as much, i have a bad flat iron i'm getting the solia for christmas) when i flat ironed it. and it smelled great and softened my hair.

I have used CHI Straight Guard Smoothing Cream, and let me tell you how great it is for frizzy curly hair. I have tried everything. When I wash my hair I want to let it air dry naturally and it is quite full and frizzy. I am of mixed decent so you can image my hair. You have to try it you will love how soft and frizz free your hair will be. Oh ya did I metion the shine WOW! Incredible. I'm hooked I can hardly wait to try more of the line. I'll let you know what I think.

this is the best detangler cutting aid it has a nice slip to it to help get ur brush trought and ooooh the shine and it smells great if u have frizzy dry or coarse thick hair there my speacial mix mix silk in fusion with ifra gel and a few pumps of the straght gaurd use more silk then gel we will be very impressed with it
