Safe for color-treated hair?
Is CHI Silk Infusion safe for color-treated hair? I love the product, but it seems my color faded quickly once I began using it.

I've found my light blonde color stays incredibly longer with the Silk Infusion. I use it every day!

YES It does meaning you won't have to use anything else than a dime sized amount of silk infusion for your hair to feel silky soft weightless and protected from heat

YES IT'S BETTER TO USE BEFORE FLAT IRONING, IT DOES NOT CONTAIN ALCOHAL IN THE INGREDIENTS, AS BIOSILK DOES. SOME PEOPLE SAY, THAT TYPE OF ALCOHAL IS THE GOOD KIND FOR YOUR HAIR, BUT ANY TYPE WILL DRY OUT YOUR HAIR IN THE LONG RUN. I rEcOmMeNd ChI sIlK InFuSiOn.

Yup. Biosilk has achohol in it that actually dries out your hair so when you straighten the dry-ness doubles. It's so funny, I was in the store the other day and I was about to buy biosilk and was like "Well I've heard a lot about Chi Silk Infusion, I'll try something new." I'm truly glad I did. There is a visable and feelable difference!

Biosilk protects your hair on the outside, while Chi Silk Infusion protects your hair from within as well as on the outide. Biosilk sits on the surface while Chi Silk Infusion actually penetrates and strengthens hair. I would definitely go with the Chi Silk Infusion.

You should wash your hair and condition then try and let your hair air dry (time permitting) if not then blow dry your hair. Then... once your hair is completely dry section your hair. I have alot of hair so I section into 3 parts (kinda like a peace sign on my head)each section gets a dime size amount of silk infusion then I use the flat iron... I love this stuff!

How do you like this product for those who don't flat iron?
I was wondering what the results of using Silk Infusion are for those who use it who DON'T flat iron, if any. Thanks!

You don't need to flat iron in order for it to work. It will still give a shiny and silky look. you should put it in after you shower and towel dry(nickel size amount). You can air dry or if you blow dry while round brushing that will give best results.

all types of hair
Is Chi products good on all types of hair. Asian, African-american? etc.

I'm African-American and it works really well on my hair. I only have to go over my strands once (maybe twice) from the ROOT and I'm done. I recommend being very careful because the Chi is going to be very hot and you don't want to burn yourself. I also highly recommend using it with other Chi products. I use Silk Infusion and Shine Infusion (which tames flyaways and works somewhat like holding spray but in not NEARLY as heavy).

Does it keep your hair straight?
I have used straighteners that work great at first, but then my hair flips out after a couple hours. Will this keep my hair straight all day??

The same thing happens to me. This product is not a holding gel or spray, but it is good for heat protection and silky hair. I recommend that you spray a light misty hair spray over the flat ironed hair to keep it straight.

Which hair products are good to keep healthy hair?
I highlight my hair about every 3 months and I go from dark brown to blonde highlites. What other Chi hair products are good to use with the Chi silk infusion. I am also looking into purchasing the Chi Straight guard but I am not sure if it is just redundant to use in my hair and if its not, what order should they be used in. I also want to use a product that will help protect my hair from the heat of the blow dryer. Any help/advice s very appreciated. What products are good the help keep the frizz and flyaways away???? THANKS!

I always put it on my hair while it is wet right after I shower. It definitely works better that way.

I apply it after I get out of the shower and on towel-dried hair. I let my hair air dry and then straighten it, and voila, silky, shiny hair!

As a cosmotologist, im always looking for the next best thing to keep my hair healthy, soft, and shiny! Since my hair is very long and curly, i put in the silk infusion drops when its wet and blow dry in as straight as possible. I then put in another small amount all the way through the hair( mostly focusing on the ends). After i have straightened it, i reapply it again to the hair. You can do this sort of reapplication with this product because if its used in small amounts it doesnt leave the hair oily or greasy. Its an absolutly fabulous product that i have been using for over 2 years and havent found anything better!

I apply Chi Silk infusion to towel dry hair. If I don't iron my hair, my curls are not frizzie, just nice ringlets. I really like how the texture of my hair becomes soft and managable no matter what I do after putting in the Chi. Best on toweled hair.

I have very fine and fragile hair and I apply the Chi Silk Infusion thoughout my hair before blowdrying and again before straightening, concentrating on the ends. I also spray the Chi Shine Infusion on my hair before straightening for added protection against the heat. I have tried the Chi Iron Guard and I HATED it, but I love the silk and shine infusion.
