I have tried Hai and Babyliss. The Hai flat out, was horrible, the Babyliss was too heavy. I wanted something light, quiet, and quick.
The Chi Rocket met my expectations very well. I don't feel that it dryed my hair in 1/2 the time (as they claim), but hey.... if this product doesn't do it, I doubt any of the others will either! The pros of the Rocket are that my hair looked salon quality when I finished (BIG +), it was quiet, and the frizzies were gone. I liked the results. The air flow seemed fine. I am a little worried about the reviews I have seen about the quality of Chi products. We will have to see how it holds up over time. Stay tuned!

I recieved my blow dryer within the week and it is the best blow dryer i have ever purchased!
Directional nozzle a problem

For some reason the shape of this nozzle is problematic. It's wider than most directional nozzles and the tooth feature is wierd. Because of the wideness, it's less effective in getting a smooth and straight look.

The best $150 I have ever spent. This hair dryer changed my life. I actually want to blow dry my hair and the best part is that it takes all of 5 minutes. AMAZING! No frizz, hair lays perfect! Only thing I regret is not buying it sooner.

I just bought this hairdryer and noticed my hair was much softer after just one use. I'm not sure if because its ionic but my hair was softer, fuller and straighter. The attachment helped concentrate the air to help dry faster. The comb attachment helped with straightening.
My only complaint is no varying speed or settings. Just low/hot, hot/hotter. There is a cold air button but I would like to see low, med, high speed and cold, warm, hot temp.
Also the on/off switch is in the middle of the handle so sometimes my fingers hit it and it turns off while I'm drying.
Best Blowdryer I've ever owned!!

This is by far, the best blowdryer ever!! I've had my share of blowdryers, and none of them can compare to the CHI Rocket. It dries my hair in less than 7 minutes, which used to take me about 20 min with my previous blowdryers. I paid almost $200 for mine a year ago, and it was worth every single penny. It is still kicking strong. If you're looking for a good blowdryer.. look no further.. this is definitely the one (especially if you have no patience, when it comes to waiting for your hair to dry).

I have had my Rocket about 3 weeks and am very pleased with it. It blows my hair dry a little fast than my old one (10-15 minutes vs. 20 minutes). What I really love about it is that I need very little work with my CHI Straightener after I blowdry (I have curly hair). With my old hairdryer my hair would be very fluffy and frizzy after drying which with leave lots of work left for my straightener. Now with Rocket the fluffly/frizziness is extremely minimal. I love it!

I've had my rocket for one month, and so far I'm very pleased. I used to own a Super Solano, so I can't say that it's been a drastic improvement in making my hair straight and smooth. But, I do love how quiet and light it is. I've also been able to shorten my hairdrying time (usually half an hour) by about 5 minutes.
Better dryers out there for less money

My Solano Ionic dryer was amazing, but not very quiet, somewhat heavy and died after a year. I wanted to try something new so I tried this dryer. While it is definitely lighter and a bit more quiet, (the design very cool), it really doesnt have the kind of power and ability my Solano (1875) had. It took an additional 10-15 minutes to dry my hair with this dryer compared to the Solano. For the money you are paying for a Chi, there are better dryers out there for less money. Returning this and reinvesting in a Solano, Elchim or Babybliss.

I have very thick,wavy hair that used to take 15-20 minutes to dry. The Chi Rocket literally dries my hair in under 5 minutes without all the friz!

I live in FL and have always had problems getting my hair dried in a timely manner because of all of the humidity. I now have no excuse for being late to work in the morning.

I HAD THE ORIGINAL CHI HAIR DRYER, BUT IT PALES IN COMPARISON TO THE ROCKET, I DID NOT THINK IT WAS POSSIBLE TO DRY MY THICK
LONG HAIR THIS FAST, I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO BUY THIS DRYER AGAIN. WELL WORTH THE MONEY

I have a very difficult hair: it is curly, heavy and very dry and I like stilying it. Even that I had use a lot kind of products to help with this problems it has been extremaly difficult to find a good Hair Dryer taht do not burn my hair or damage it. I had try everything in the Market and nothing looks to be good enough until I hear about the CHI Hair Dryer. I bought it and I can be more happy with it. Have a lot of power, it is not heavy, and dry my hair a half of the tme I use to do it

This is my first professional grade hair dryer purchase and I am happy so far. It is light enough, yet feels well made. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have additional varying speeds - it seems to be low or high. If you are looking or high air speed - this may not be for you. Definitely improved drying time and seems to not be so harsh on my hair.
