CHI Rocket Professional Hair Dryer Review

I have very course, porous hair; and it has always taken FOREVER to dry it. Then after drying, I'd have to use a curling iron, flat iron, hot rollers or velcro rollers to get rid of the frizz. NO MORE! My hair really did dry in half (if not less) the time, and I only used a round brush toward the end of drying. I didn't need anything else. I am a hair product and gadget freak, and I swear this is the best thing I've ever used!

I have really enjoyed working with the Chi blow dryer it is marvelous. Just the greatest, my hair is course and it doesn't take half the time to dry my hair.

I received the Chi Rocket Professional Hair Dryer almost two weeks ago. I have thick hair. It does dry my hair a little quicker. I keep waiting for it to frizz one day but it hasn't and I do notice my hair is shinner without products to make it shine. I like it a lot but I don't totally love it for the following reasons: It is a little heavier than I expected and as some other reviewers have noted, the on/off buttons get in the way while drying. I have hit the off button several times while drying my hair. Not a major problem, I just turn it back on.

I've had it for about one month and would recommend it. I have thick curly hair and it does straighten it more effectively than my old dryer (using it with an ionic/ceramic brush helps too). I was surprised that my hair did not even frizz up in the rain the other day. I don't think it cuts down on drying time, but the results are better.

Excellent hair dryer. Does not eliminate the need for a flat iron, however with the chi rocket and my new sedu flat iron, the total time to do my hair went from almost an hour to about 25 minutes. Highly recommend both these products.

I bought this dryer and the first time I used it the cold shot button stayed on and didn't turn off. I was stuck with cold air for the rest of my blow out. The dryer itself is good. My hair was shiny and it dried fast but when I was almost done I decided to use the cold shot button and that was it. I tried over 10 times for it to go back to normal. I just decided to send it back and order at T3. It's too bad too because like I said it dried my hair fast!

I have extremely hard hair frizzy hair! I went through Ekchim, Vizio, Super SOlano & this is by far the BEST there is! THE chi Rocket Rocks!
I am enjoying it immensly!
And i loved buying from Folica the customer service rep was very knoledgeable about all their products!

I bought the Chi Rocket with the Chi turbo straightner and I was not impressed by either. I thought that the Rocket would do wonders for my hair but my Conair ION hair dryer for $40 worked better. Also when I received it the paint was chipping off of it. I wouldnt care what my $40 hair dryer looks like but if I am spending over $100 on a hair dryer I expect it to be of high quality. I have since returned it and received a credit. I am glad I bought it on Folica.

I'm African American with natural middle of the back length hair. The Chi pro dryer was a good investment. The dryer gets very hot and has a cooling button as well. The dryer smooths my hair to a nice consistencey where flat ironing works very well. I use the F.H.I. flat iron that I purchased from Folica during the spring of 2006. Both prodcuts are worth the investment. Buy quality and you won't have to purchase quantiy. The shipping and delivery from Folica was quick and ordering was eay. Thanks for the great service.

Wish I could be as enthusiastic as the other reviewers, maybe I expected too much. It is definitely the most well-made hair dryer I've purchased, though my purchase history only inludes drug store brands. I have medium-length,semi-fine hair with many fly-aways, (except when I leave the salon). While it does look and feel softer, I still have fly-aways. The buttons are way too soft. I will hit the cold air and power buttons at least once apiece while drying, so I have to position my hand in an awkward hold to avoid this.

this hair druer is more ...my hair is corse and curly and the littlest humidity makes it go puff but since ive used this dryes wow where have you been my whole life!! my daughter even comes in to use it too now and my son asks what did you do to your hair !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found that most of the reviews I read before I purchased this product were mostly reliable. It does dry my hair very fast and it is not as dry as with other dryers, I did not find it stopped the need for the straightener.

This is the best hair dryer I have ever purchased. It is definitely true that you will no longer need a straightening iron once you own this dryer. My hair used to be frizzy after blowing it straight with my old hair dryer, but now it looks like I had it done in a salon every day, despite the 100% humidity here. I highly recommend this dryer. It is definitely worth the money.

This is an incredible hairdryer. I've used one other ionic hair dryer and it used to leave my hair so dry and flywaway. The Chi Rocket Dryer does not overdry the hair and leaves it soft, undamaged and with body. It's very quiet, and it dries my hair very quickly! Best yet, though, is my hair looks soft and well-cared for, not dry and frazzled.

I wish I could honestly tell you that this dry is worth the money, but I can’t. Yes it dries your hair fast. And yes it is a little quieter, but did not straighten my hair any better then my $40 hair drier. I have returned it for a refund and I hope the company will credit my account.

For starters I should have bought it here. This is cheaper than a salon buys it for. This was the best dryer I had ever used until last week. The cold shot is not a momentary switch (the trigger button). The cold shot button broke and it only blows cold air unless you hold down the button. So I taped the button down with clear packing tape. It works but looks like hell. Also it did not come with a defuser unlike the chi turbo. I will not buy another unless they change the switch. The box says for "Professional Use Only". It is way to hot for consumers. This dryer is so hot it melts my plastic brushes all the time. Imagine what it would do to your hair if used every day.

I just chucked my Conair for the Chi Rocket and I am in love! I have fine/thick hair and this dryer does the job efficiently and beautifully. The concentration nozzle works well when you use a brush (I like the Monster brush) to style. Very powerful - I find that the low setting generally works very well. This dryer gets very hot, so be carefull when you are using high.

I have very thick hair and with this dryer I can dry my hair in less than 10 minutes. It normally takes me over 30. It still leaves it kind of frizzy but it is faster.

I recently purchased the Chi to do my daughter's hair. She has thick, long hair and I can put it on low and have it done in less than 20 minutes. I use the Chi flatiron also and can get her hair really straight. She went with me to the beauty shop the other day and my beautician thought I had put a perm in it because it was so straight. I would highly recommend it.

I can't believe a hair dryer can meke so much difference with the smoothness of my hair. I hesitated spending the money, but it has been worth it. It dryes fast and no fizz.
