I bought the hair dryer a month ago and I love it. It drys my hair so fast. I have medium hair and it takes 10 minutes instead of 20 minutes. Overall I love it.

I spent HOURS researching the perfect dryer to buy...actually called 13 different top salons in Boston/NYC and read countless reviews here on Folica. I decided to go with the CHI b/c my co-worker said she loved it and had thick hair like mine. By nature, I have very thick corkscrew curls so my hair needs a lot of heat and power to dry it. I was truly disappointed with this product! I liked the ergonomics and the weight was good, however it left my hair flat and very snarly! I couldn't run my finger through it and it had no shine! Plus, it was lifeless afterwards---like I had just taken a clothes-iron to and and pressed it. So I returned it (as did my roommate who bought the same one and experience an abnormal amount of frizz regardless of the ion control) and she bought a babybliss and I'll be buying the Super Salono (recommended by 8/13 stylists I called!)
No more hairspray needed

This is an awesome dryer, well worth the money spent. I live in southeast Texas where the weather is horrible on hair and with this blow dryer I can dry and style my hair within 5 minutes and it stays all day. NO MORE HAIRSPRAY needed!!! What a product!

I bought this hair dryer about a month ago and it works great. I normally need about 25 mins to dry my hair completely and Chi dryer takes me only 10 mins to dry my whole hair. The result is excellent, my hair feels so much softer and silkyer.
It broke after only 4 months!

I am so unimpressed! It dried okay, not in half the time though. Poor design with the button locations and it's a bit heavy. It just quit on me one day, and it's only used every other day for 15 minutes! I'm moving on...

I bought this hairdryer after reading lots of reviews, and I have not been disappointed so far - I've had it about 2 months now. My hair is much less dry, including one part in particular that had completely dried out and would never defrizz, no matter how many times I ran my flat iron over it (it was my top-most layer that also had lots of highlights in it). My hair is softer, dries faster, and I often don't even use my flat iron at all - if I do, it's very little. I used to have to flat iron every bit of my hair to get it straight. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend the dryer to anyone.

I have really long, thick, coarse hair and this blowdryer works great. It's taken about 20 minutes off my blow dry time, which is nice if you have hair like me. There's nothing worse that fighting your hair for an hour and having to take breaks because you're overheated! It also makes my hair very smooth and not frizzy like other dryers, I almost don't need to use a straightener which is amazing. I've this blowdryer for about a year and it still works great.
The only complaint I have is that the dryer is a little heavy. It takes me about 30-40 minutes to do my hair so the arms get a bit soar.

All that is said about this dryer is true. It dries fast, your hair is softer and the frizz is gone. Even though this costs a lot more than other dryers, I won't ever buy another drug store dryer. Can't beat this one!

The chi rocket is the best hair dryer that I have ever used. I live in Florida and there was nothing that I could do to keep my hair shiney and unfrizzy like it did when I lived in New York. This hair dryer answered all of my prayers. I have very thick hair and now it always look full and shiney and takes 10 minutes to blow as opposed to 30 minutes before. I was alittle skeptical when I read some of the reviews saying that the cold shot button is in an awkward place and keeps turning on, but I have not had any problems with it. It is worth every penny and more....

Really great hair dryer! I love the way it works with my hair. The only downfall is the engineering behind where the cold button is...it's too easily touched when handling the dryer.

Although the Rocket is fast at drying the hair and the cool Shot button is easy to control the button is in a very akward place. Resting where your fingers hug the handle. I also thought there would be a power shot button to boost the speed of the dryer and there are only a high and low setting. Low being warm air and the high being hot air and not a lot of force. Liked the attachments but was let down that a custom fit diffusser is not made for this type. Being a Professional...I wouldn't reccommend this for the salon. Try something a little more powerful. But if it's just for home use...definatley worth it!

I was clueless about what a difference a good hair dryer can make. I was so irritated that I couldn't make my hair look decent myself after I got a great haircut. I decided to invest in some quality equipment and products, including this CHI dryer and a Solia flat iron. The difference is absolutely amazing. It always looks like I just came from the salon!

It did work well, kept less frizz, BUT, died after 15 mo. (no heat). I am NOT a stylist, so just used it for personal use, so I was very disappointed. WAY too much money to spend for a product to die so quickly.

The only complaint is the location of the on/off switch. It does turn off accidently when I am blow-drying. It is annoying, but that is a small price to pay for the excellent blow drying results.

I just recently purchased a Chi Rocket Professional Hair Dryer. I am extremely satisified with my purchase. I could never replicate my hairdressers performance until now. My hair is silky and healthier since I have been using the Chi Rocket. The Rocket dries my hair in half the time it used to take my old dryer.

I once again opted for the low EMF hair care appliance. I have the HAI flat iron. Not willing to sacrifice health for beauty. But, it was a tough choice between choosing the chi or the sedu ultrasilent. I am not disappointed. I am african- american. I have relaxed hair. After I had finished blow drying my hair I was like no way. It had body and didn't suck the moisture from my hair. The drying time was fast. I have to admit it's like going through culture shock going from a regular dryer to a professional ceramic hair dryer. My hair is smooth, soft, and moist. Remember I have chemically treated hair. So, it's fragile to begin with. It was time for me to get a touch-up and now I can wait a little longer. There is no sign of dryness. None! None! None! Between the chi and my Denman paddle brush I used I couldn't be happier. And no hair breakage. It did better than when I air-dried my hair.
I would also like to say to people who wish this dryer had more heat setting choices is that there is a good reason. Ceramic dryers are self-regulating and turns itself down as it senses the surrounding temperature. And because of that many won't come with multiple temperature controls, usually just high and low. I'm paraphrasing from research I've done.
p.s. As long as this thing dosen't break on me I am 99.9% satisfied. I look like I've been to the salon. I just have to brag. :)

I bought it for my daughter's birthday, she loves it. It cut her drying time in half. She has thick hair and it used to take her for ever to dry her hair. My younger daughter tried too and she is begging me to get her one for her birthday too.

I am very pleased with this hair dryer. I have very thick coarse hair--shoulder length. It used to take me 15-20 minutes to dry. Now, it takes about 5-7 minutes, which is what I was aiming for in the morning!
