If you move the straightner quickly you are less likely to burn your hair. So even if you have tough curly hair move the iron quickly but go over the same spot several time. It may be time consuming but it will definatly improve the quality and breakage of you hair. Also using biosilk on your hair or a blowdry lotion like 07 by redken will improve and protect your hair from all forms of damage including blowdrying, coloring, and washing

I just got my pink chi a few weeks ago and LOVE it but I just wanted to let everyone know to use a heat protecting spray. I wasn't for the first couple tinmes and asked my hair stylist why it wasn't working and she said it was because I wasn't protectinf my hair. Also I would recommend Biosilk made by farouk. It makes your hair so shiny and soft!! But seriously you will not get the desired results if you don't use protectiong for your hair. Happy Straightening!

For anyone using these flatirons you must use a spray or thermal protector in your hair. Using it will help protect your hair from heat damage while styling it even better. So always spray something on your hair first!! (And if you get buildup on your iron, wipe it off with rubbing alcohol)
