I'm debating between this hair straightener or the original 1 inch chi. My friend just bought the chi and so was I but I chickened out. Has anyone tried the chi as well, was it as good or do you find the sedu better? Question posted by Lisa Mon Sep 25 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Kristin Q.

My co-worker recently bought the Sedu hair straightener. The effects of a ceremic flat iron will basically stay the same. I mean, I still get the most healthiest (as I can get) hair with all the damage I do to it, but then I guess it really comes down to the price and style of the actual flat iron. Sedu PROS: Lightweight. It also came in the 1.5" while the CHI only has a 1", and I prefered the 1.5". CONS: Hate to say it, but I'm quite impatient and I couldn't stand the fact that I had to buy it online. CHI PROS: Heats up pretty quick. Maybe having a 1" is a pro for you, but a con for me. With the price I paid for it, it was nice to get those bonus products. The benefit of a 1" (for me at least), I'm able to easily tame my baby hair. The best part for my impatient self was that I could conveniently purchase it at the nearest store (in my case, ULTA). CONS: Again, the width may be of some concern. It's more expensive, but realize the products that you get with it.
Nothing much more I can say about it. I'm interested to see what you choose. Hope I helped. Good luck! | CHI or GHD? (:
I'm having trouble deciding which one to purchase, the CHI or GHD.When i read the reviews on both straighteners, they bothhad their pro's and con's.My hair dresser says the GHD is better, but myfriends say the CHI.Can someone please tell me which one is better?(: Question posted by Kristin L. As long as you take small sections (usually 1/4 inch thick or less, but can be as wide as your iron plates) and use a thermal spray you should have amazing results. | | Reply by Hilary
