Puchased this Hair dryer without reading the other reviews It worked great for 6 months, then stopped blowing hot air. Nothing but cold air. Replaced it on the warranty. Next one worked for 2 months then stopped blowing hot air. Will not get another CHI Pro. Must be a defective part within.

loved this dryer for the first 9 mos. until it started squealing. i put up with it because it still worked--until this morning while i was getting ready for work it suddenly stopped blowing hot air. definitely NOT worth $100.
Good to poor after almost losing hair!

My stylist recommend Chi hair dryer, she uses it and it worked wonders on my thick straight hair. I love it, until day before yesterday….dryer had been going ‘cool’ more often, figured I was getting it too close to my head or something. But yesterday morning, while drying a sectioned portion of hair, a blue flame and a popping noise emitted from my dryer…scared me to pieces. I’ve had the dryer for around 18 months, worked great until then. And, I’m with others who have written; I would have thought this product would have been around for a long time. Going back to my old faithful, Conair!

For the price I expected a lot more than what i received. The diffuser falls off and I have to stop and pop it back on CONSTANTLY. It does however make my hair very shiney and soft IF I spend an hour with a dryer brush. I would recommend it to someone who has very fine thin hair. If you have thick hair you are gonna be there all day. If I am in a hurry I don't even use it and I use the cheap walmart one i bought to hold me over till I bought this one. One good thing though is when i use it I don't feel like I am doing the damage I would normally do with another dryer. Over all I don't think it was worth the money. Thats what I get for splurging.
Not worth the price. Doesn't last.

I've had my Chi Pro for a little over a year. It was recomended by my hair stylist. I loved it until yesterday. It started blowing cold air and nothing but cold air, just as the other reviews. I really love the way it worked but for the price I paid I expected it to last a lot longer. I've had to ask my daughter for my old Revlon dryer back, it's still going strong after 5 years.

Had it for 6 months (used about 5 times a week) and now when you turn it on, it sounds like a cat screaming inside it!

This hairdryer is very quiet. The air does not come out fast, but it does dry quickly. Not crazy about the diffuser, it falls off while I use it. Otherwise this is a light, quiet, hairdryer.

Received the Chi Pro hair dryer for a Christmas gift and started using it immediately. I loved it - it dried my hair quickly, was easy to handle, and made my hair look terrific. Two days ago I went to dry my hair and all I got was cold air. I tried both high and low blower settings, but no hot air was to be found. I'm hoping my sister-in-law who gave me the dryer will be able to exchange it wherever she purchased it. In the meantime, I'll use my 5 year old Conair!

I had asked for a parlux dryer for xmas and ended up with this chi. After reading the mixed reviews on this site I wasn't expecting much. However, my two cents is that it is a good dryer. I only just got it so it is too soon to foretell if it will last long term, but it did a fine job drying and smoothing my wavy thin hair. And I had NO product in it whatsoever. It does dry the hair quicker than my previous dryer. It isn't heavy at all and I really do like it!!!! I am so far happy with the dryer, my only comlaint is that the nozzles don't go on and off with ease but it is fine because I don't use them anyway....Don't be afraid to buy this dryer.....does a fine job!!!!!

I purchased this blow dryer without reading the reviews, what a mistake. The same exact thing happen to me. While I have had the blowdryer for 10 months now, i rarely use it. I was on my way to a wedding when I started to dry my hair & low and behold, the air would not get hot. What a disaster! It was an hour before I had to leave and I had no way of drying my hair, and it was 30 degrees outside! Talk about furious! I also have a CHI curling iron that burns my hair right off, it is also faulty. Urgh!!!

My hair stylist uses this chi hair dryer and so since I loved the way it made my hair feel I bought one too. I had it for about 6 months and then it stopped blowing hot hair. Got it repaired and it went out again 2 weeks later. Very disappointing to spend so much and not get your money's worth.

my wife had the same thing happen this morning as some of the other reviews. went to turn it on and nothing except smoke and almost caught on fire. sent email to farouk about getting a refund because i don't want to take any more chances with another one.

I bought a chi pro dryer about two months ago to use a t work and it is ALREADY out of hot air altogether. Lots of money to only get two months out of it. I am not very happy:(

I purchased this blow dryer a little over a year ago. At first I loved it. It was shortly after the one year warranty was up that it started to blow cold air then very hot air burning my hair and scalp. I did continue to use it against my better judgement, hoping to get a little more use out of this 115.00$ hair dryer. Then one morning, as i was drying my hair, a small flame came out of the nozzle and the blow dryer finally met its end.
I loved this dryer until it injured me!

I bought the chipro blow dryer about a year and a half ago.
I loved everything about it until about 6 mos ago. I noticed it had a self cooling device, it would stay hot for a few minutes and then be cool for about 10 seconds. Then one day I was styling a clients hair and noticed an odd smell. A few seconds after that a flaming piece of plastic pierced my arm. Thank God my arm and not my client!!!! Immediatly after the Chipro dryer began to smoke. I unplugged it right away. I contacted where I purchase the dryer and was told my warrenty had expired. $100 down the drane, after this experience I will never by another Chi blowdryer! Beware!!!
