Do the ceramic plates rock back and forth when you press on the sides? Does the flat iron close flat together? I'm asking because my previous flat iron by Hot Tools closed flat and the plates were solid and didn't move. My Chi iron doesn't quite close all the way and the plates rock slightly back and forth when touched. I am just wondering if this is normal for a Chi iron?

with the chi people say it only takes about 10 to 20 minutes....i hav alot of hair and it takes me from 1 hour and 30 min to 2 hours to straighten my hair.....like do u hav to starighten every little strand of hair,which takes me about and hour and 30 minutes...or with the chi can u juss staighten a big portion of hair so it doesnt take that long......????

just like you, i have extremely thick hair. but what i do is take about 1 to 2 inch strips of my hair and it works really well.it usually takes me 20 to 30 minutes. |

I went to a salon that was selling this straightener and they told me 450 degrees. |

When it says the straightener will not work with a converter does that mean that if i were to use it over here in scotland that it wouldn't work with a travel plug type thing?

Usualy they dry your hair out but the chi is sooooooo wonderful so your hair stays nice and health. I wouldn't straighten your hair when its wet thought, because that is just stupid and can ruin you straightening iron. |
