i use it every day it's the best ... and to those who thik it isn't then u dont know how to use it or dont know that u have to wait until its hot THEN u have to go and watch a how to flat ur hair video on youtube or something ...

I absolutely love this straightener! In the past my cheap straighteners from walmart would usually break within two weeks (of course) but I've had this for over two years now and it has not broken down on me yet. I also love how you get to choose the different heat temperatures.

Chi's will keep breaking. I finally realized after 3 have failed. Is this being done on purpose by the manufacter? Please do not respond.

Honestly, this is the worst straightener I've ever used. Not only did it take forever to straighten my chin length, thick blond hair but the minute I would step out into the humidity it would be a fuzzy mess again! To add insult to injury, this stupid thing damaged my hair SO bad that it has taken me MONTHS to get it back to normal. I have never written reviews for anything, ever. But I hated this thing so much that I felt compelled! If you really want a straightener that works wonders, then go with the SEDU 1 1/2. It's amazing and totally worth the money. Don't make the same mistake I did and assume that just because this is the "almighty CHI" that it's wonderful because it's quite the contrary.

im a 11 year old girl my dad got me the chi nano and it is fantastic i have normal hair but in the mornings my hair is insain i used a coniair before but it frizzed my hair. The 1st time i used it my friends noticed how awsome my hair looks i love it and you should get it :)

This flat iron is just as good as the original chi (which I've been using for going on 3 years). My origninal Chi's on/off switch and so I decided to upgrade. Well, I'm not too sure that the nano is THAT much better than the original, as the original wasn't too far from heavenliness itself. lol But other than the very pretty color and the nifty temperature dial and digi display, I'd say it's the exact same iron and you'll get the exact same result. So, if you like the original chi, you should be just as pleased with the nano digital.
Correct use is important w/any iron

I have used flat irons for as long as I can remember. I have naturally curly hair. I have the original Chi and it is OK. I purchased this one for my daughter and now we share it. Mine is under the sink and doesn't get out much : ) It heats very quickly and straightens the same. I put sections of hair in the iron, as you should, and my hair does not get caught...nor breaks. I bought a second one to take on trips. I would highly recommend this product. Use it correctly and it does a wonderful job!

I purchased this chi despite reading reviews mentioning frequently that the flat iron breaks for no apparent reason. When I asked my hair stylist what I should buy, she said chi 'was the best'. When I received it, I was suspicious of it for the first 3 weeks and then it worked amazingly well. Within 2 months it broke :( I do not abuse my hair styling tools - I need them! I didn't leave it on, drop it, and even took care not to wrap the cord around it. I am now looking for a new flat iron and won't ever buy another chi.
Don't buy a chi...

i dont like it.i have really curly thick hair and have tried every iron there is.I thought finally this would work.i actually use the chi styling cream and my hair doesnt get straight fast and only last like in hour striaght.am still in hunt for my prince straightner =]

I have thick thick curly african american hair and it made my hair smooth and straight. Every other straightner ive tried has just made it poofy but this product is great!!BUY IT!

this flat iron is the best straightener i have ever used in my life. i have had so many chi flat irons and they were all okay. this is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! it heats in 20 seconds at the most and i have thick, poofy, dry, frizzy, wavy hair and it took me thirty minutes to an hour with my old straighteners. This one takes me a max of ten minutes. it doesnt burn your hair, it lasts the ENTIRE day, and it leaves your hair super shiny and smooth. You want to feel your hair all day cause it feels so soft. its like you just walked out of a salon. i'm serious.. BUY THIS IRON!!!

First time I purchased a very expensive hair straightener - CHI Nano. But I was disappointed. It works fine for straightening but not when your hair gets stacked in between the plates..... It is a bad experience. I did not return it with in 14 days allocated time to return because I thought that as I am using it, it will smoothen and the problem will go. Until finally I realized that my hair still gets stucked either way. So don't buy CHI Nano. Expensive but you will loose hair.

I tried this flat iron and it's awesome i have very frizzy and hair and i straighten them out every single day and my hair looks great so i would recommend it for people wit frizzy hair cuz it works and it heats up in minutes or even seconds

I live in canada and the product was received within 3 days (according to my friend who it got mailed to). THe product is light, a nice blue and has adjustable temperature.
I curl or straighten occasionally, it works great, hair feels soft and curls are shiny, stretch and stays a WHOLE day. I do not use any sort of spray or special hair product. The only thing I'm lacking now is a thermo protector. =D

I got this flat iron as a christmas present...from myself :) I had an overload of Target gift cards so I ordered this from them. After reading MANY reviews on the CHI products, I know to not wrap the cord and to be VERY careful with my iron or else it will break-my first choice was SEDU-had much better reviews but was not sold at Target.
So far, its been great. I can straighten it very easily, just that my hair is pretty straightened already but this one did not leave my hair dry nor stiff. I also mastered how to Curl-youtube has great videos- and flip very easily. I also like the option of being able to control the temp. Becuase sometimes I need high temps while other times, all I need is a touch up. It is very easy to operate and heats ups VERY quickly and VERY hot- I place one of those oven holder things on my counter to protect it becasue it is hot enough to create some damage. I love the color, although I wish that they had it in Pink. The cord is long and does the 360 swivel thing without getting stuck, unlike my old cheaper flat iron. It does snag a bit but after I put on some anti-fizz serum and heat protection, it was fine but to my mom, it kept bothering her. just like any other high heat straightner, the outside of the plats get READLY hot, so be careful.
All in all, I love it! My big problem was that my older cheaper one left my hair dry, fried, and stiff will this one left it silky smooth, straightened, curled, flipped, all in one try and left it very natural looking- if you hairspray it with max hold then straighten, and hairspray again, it does get stiff, incase that is the look you are going for:P one inch is perfect too- the best size for most hair types. Just treat it right- no wrapping of the cord, no dropping, and don't get the plats sticky or slimy. I also LOVE the anti-bacterial factor- I bet my friends are going to be using this next week so its pretty cool that I don't have to clean the plates as much as I used too.
I guess im still going to buy a Sedu later on- mybe in a year or two, I just want to make sure this one will last...

I had the original Nano without the digital controls and ended giving that one to my Aunt; I do not regret doing so because this flatiron is just as great with the added extra of the digital controls. I love the size since I have small hair and since my hair isn't curly just kind of poofy it does the job with one try, so I usually end up taking about 5-10 straightening my hair to get rid of its poofy-ness.
This is AWESOME!!!

I can't believe chi came out with a straightner that has the digtial settings and all...this looks like a great product...I have a red chi flat iron...now I have to have this one...and lucky christmas is right around the corner!!!

I bought this CHI after my first CHI broke...I have to say I really do like the original much better. Don't let the more expensive price of this one fool you into thinking it's a better flat iron. This one makes my ends much dryer, and it doesn't get as hot either. I have to run over my hair several times to make it straighten completely. I'm a little dissapointed that I bought this one rather than another original CHI. By the way, I have extremely poofy, frizzy, wavy hair naturally and it takes about 50 minutes to straighten all of it.
