Too expensive to break so soon

I purchased this product-even though it is rather expensive-after reading the positive reviews. I have very curly hair I often straighten and as I use a hair dryer daily I wanted something of high quality. I was not overtly impressed after I received it. I don't feel it gets too hot, just didn't notice feel the results warranted spending $140-on SALE. I stuck with it though as I was not willing to buy another one. After a year and a half, the thing just quit working. I am attempting to email the company to see if there is anything they can do for me. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I expect very good results and a longevity for something that is so expensive. If you do as well, this is not your product.
Blows cold air

I purchased this dryer, loving my other CHI products, but after a few months the blower only blows cold air. I have short curly hair and in the beginning the dryer worked great, straight hair with no damage. But after spending $150, you think it would break so easily.
Chi is awful

Chi blow dryers are awful for the sole reason that after several months it will only blow cold air! When you email Chi (since they apparently have no phones) they say "I am sorry I cannot help you". HORRIBLE!!
Great dryer

I have been using this hair dryer for about 2 years now and it is the best. I does get a bit hot but not to the point to burn your hair. My hair is healthy, shinny, and very soft....I love, love this product.
Its OK, expensive and too hot

This dryer is heavy and cumbersome. After only using a few times, the "cool" button stays on all the time. I have to hold the button down to get heat. Don't waste your money!
okay. kinda.

I decided to buy this after it was used on me in the salon. However.........mine does not blow hot air unless i hold down the cold button....something must be wrong with the wiring...but i dunno. Next time i probably won't go with a chi. or at least not the nano. this dryer just left me disappointed after spending 150 on it.

I absolutely love my blow dryer! I did a lot of research prior to making my purchase and evauluated all like products but this one really is the best! My hair has never looked so healthy, been so straight and felt so smooth! I would highly recommend this blow dryer to others.
Not worth the money

I have curly hair and bought this hair dryer. Big mistake because since it doesn't come with a diffuser attachment, I had to buy a universal diffuser which ended up totally melting my hair dryer. I'm sure this dryer works fine with straight hair, but i don't recommend it for curly hair.
Worst Ever

In 15 years behind the chair, I have never experienced such poor quality. This blow dryer is molten lave hot, or cool. No in between. I mean H-O-T. It melted itself, along with every brush I have ever used anywhere near it. Very disappointed.
Fabulous Hair Dryer!

I love the Chi Nano! I was really apprehensive about spending so much on a hair dryer, but after years of (literally) burning through the cheapo's from drug stores, I made the leap, and I'm SO GLAD I did! The Nano dries my incredibly long hair very fast, and my hair is softer than ever. The dryer does get REALLY hot, so don't hold it too close to your scalp. But it is definitely worth every penny.

I have long thick wavy hair. I bought this dryer hoping it would be healthier than my other dryer which seemed to get very hot. I did not notice a difference initially. But know that I have used it for over a month, it does seem much softer, not as course. It also seems to have more body. For that reason, I would highly recommend it. The dryer itself does get very hot to the touch. But it does not burn the hair. I do not notice my hair drying quicker than my other dryers. And my wavy hair in that back of my head still takes some work to straighten. That is the only reason I give it a "good". Other than that it is much better than the drug store dryers.
Great Hair Dryer

I ordered this hair dryer and it is extremely light-weight and does a great job drying my hair.
My one (small) complaint is that my hair now does exactly what I tell it to do, and after years of using a conventional hair dryer (non-ionic or ceramic) which did not, it's taken a little while to adjust.
Good Dryer

I purchased this dryer about 2 months ago, and I've been pretty pleased with it. It dries my hair quickly and cuts down on the frizz, which is why I looked into this dryer in the first place. It doesn't take away ALL of the frizz, but I doubt there is dryer in the world that would do that. I would recommend this product to someone if they have problem areas such as, frizz and softness and if they want a dryer that reduces your time in front of the mirror.
The greatest dryer I've ever used!! No better dryer than this!!

I have used many types of hairdryers, including brands like Solia, Conair, Babyliss, and one that I paid over $80 for at Sally Beauty Supply. This CHI Nano was recommended to me by my stylist, and as soon as I used it, I was convinced. I have extremely thick, wavy hair and this dryer not only straightens my hair, but also dries it FAST without FRIZZ!!! I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny before drying and my hair seriously looks like I waleked out of a salon. I barely even use my straightening iron anymore, since there is no need to with this dryer. It is lightweight, easy to use, and gets very hot, which my hair texture needs. It also does not blow your hair around everywhere like other powerful dryers. If you are looking for a dryer that does it all, look no further. Folica also offers free shipping, and I ordered on a Thursday afternoon and had my order on Monday morning...and that was just the regular free shipping!!!! Great service from Folica and a perfect CHI dryer...who could ask for more??
Also, some reviewers complained about the location of the cool shot button, this is not an issue with me at all, I've never pushed it accidently. So don't let it stop you from buying this dryer!
Good but gets too hot!!

I bought this blow dyer and it is quick, quiet & lightweight, however, if you have thin hair, it may be too hot for you! I have to hold it far away in order to not fry my hair. I ended up geting the red chi turbo instead because the hairdresser said it wasn't as intense as the nano.
THE BEST BLOW DRYER EVER!!!

My hair dried in under 7 min! I have thin hair but a lot of it and usualy took 15 to dry. Not to mention my hair feels soft and shiny. Sometimes I don't even need to use my Chi Nano straitner sometimes because this dryer is so amazing after using only a round brush and little product for shine (Redken Glass) my hair looks healthy and shiny without a straitner and saves alot of time. This drayer is worth all the money! It's even sharp looking too.

I purchased this dryer back in January 2008 after deciding that I wanted to use the chi dryer in conjunction with the flat iron. It works great, do not get me wrong. My hair is shiny, bouncy and silky after use, however after only two and half short months, my chi nano has burned out and is simply blowing cold air. I use the dryer about three times a week and am dissapointed to know that it did not last long for the price. I am going to return it using the waranty and hopefully it will be replaced with no issues.

I have a lot of hair and it holds water extremely bad. I know my hairdresser hates to see me coming b/c she has to dry my hair. She had just purchased a new hair dryer for her station and it dried my hair so much faster than I had ever seen. I made her write down what brand name and model for me so I could purchase the same one. I did and I LOVE IT!!!! It has taken 20 or so minutes off of my morning routine.
