Because I travel a lot, esp short trips,(4 to 10 days), I find this set excellent for size. I bought the bigger sizes of the CHI PRODUCTS, then I was able to refill the smaller bottles (ONCE THEY WERE EMPTY), for my trips.
For my shoulder length hair I found the dryer, dryed my hair in no time, for the flat iron it's excellent as I could either make my hair STRAIGHT OR CURLY. I'm now buying 2 more sets from FOLICA.COM for my daughters.

i am a little more realistic. i realized before i bought it that it wouldnt work as well as a full-sized flat iron. i used to bring my full-sized chi to school to re-touch my hair in class, so instead of carrying around a big straightener, i got a mini, JUST FOR TOUCH-UPS, and it did the job. i live near galveston island, so theres lots of humidity. i straighten my hair before school with the regular chi, and then re-touch with my mini. the blowdryer, however, stinks. id recommend just buying a mini seperately rather than paying extra for getting the whole kit.

Got this same kit about a year ago and it's THE BEST!! About to purchase another one because mine got destroyed in a fire. I always wanted straight silky smooth hair and with the CHI Mini, I got it. It's tops in my book! Thanks CHI.

this is perfect for my hair considering its short, my aunt gave this too me when my GVP flat iron gave out, and i really gotta give it to chi for this, it doesnt get to hot, so it doesnt fry my hair, but it gets hot enough to achieve my look, i love that it came with all the extra products, the only bad thing is that the blow dryer broke within the first week but i really found no use for it anyway. i would deffinatyy recommend this for travelers, but i dont think this little iron could take on curly hair, so thats the onl downside.
do not waste your money

My mom got me this for Christmas, and i was really excited! But, the dryer took forever to dry my hair, the straightener made my hair look damaged and it highlighted split ends. The shampoo/conditioner/heat protector did not work and just made my hair look dirty. Nobody should waste their money on this.

I just got this as a gift the day before I was leaving for a weekend trip. I packed it with great expectations...not so much. The first time I turned the hair dryer on it made a popping noise and started smoking,then shut off and would not come back on. The flat iron did not get hot enough to really straighten my hair. I was not really impressed with the hair products either. So it was pretty disappointing, thank goodness the hotel room had a hair dryer.

I was so excited for this travel kit, because I love my fullsize chi straightener and their styling products. Within the first ten minutes of drying my hair, the dryer fan stop working. The motor kept working and it still had power, so it hadn't overheated, but no longer blew forced air. The mini straightener didn't get anywhere near as hot as a regular, so didn't straighten my hair very fully, and I have pretty easy hair to straighten. Disappointing, as I am usually a fan of chi.

The iron is nowhere near as good as the original CHI. My CHI gave out this past year (after a few years of great service!) and I wanted to buy another. I figured that this kit was a great deal...well, I love everything in it except the mini hair iron the handle is not smooth like the original which hurt my hands while I was using it, and it does not heat up like the other does. The hair dryer is great though However. I still have to get another iron...

So I got the CHI travel kit for Christmas and I was so excited because I love the way the regular CHI iron works on my hair. But the first time I went to use it, I was very disappointed. I have very curly hair, and I found that the mini CHI just did not do the same job as the regular iron. My hair did not straighted completely and came out very kinky. The rest of the kit is very good - the hair dryer worked well and the shampoo/conditioner set was nice. But the most important part - the iron - was not so good.

the blow dryer and the styling products work well, but the flat iron does not get half as hot as the original chi itself.

The kit is SUPER! The hairdryer and accessories are great.
The Chi, however does not heat up as hot as the larger ones and therefore does NOT even come close to straightening the hair as well as it should. Very disappointed but very pleased with Folica experience overall!
