according to the specs listed, it only works w/ 110 v outlets, which im sure hotels dont offer (which is why they only offer miniature-sized hair-dryers), there's not enough voltage to support the Chi straightener.
temperature
I would also like to know what temp this iron gets up to. I have very thick natural curly hair. Question posted by Ivy Sun Mar 16 2008
Temp
What is the temp that it gets up to? and is this as important as the type of surface? The straightner I use now gets up to 425 degrees but I see the CHI gets up to 356, I have naturally very curly hair and the lower temp does not work well. Will the lower temp of teh CHI work for my hair? Question posted by Selena Tue Jan 01 2008

YES!! I have very frizzy thin curly hair, but you have to do it in sections. Clip up the top half with a clip and do the bottom and then do the top if not your hair takes 10x longer and it looks like flattened curls. If you know what i mean. My friend has A LOT of hair she cut off a foot and it made like 5 wigs of shoulder length hair, it took her about 15 min. to do her whole head. ITS THE BEST STRAIGHTENER I HAVE EVER USED!
