but I don't really see what all the hype is about. I didn't actually buy one myself, but I used a friend's and I thought it seemed about the same as any other hairdryer. About the only thing I really noticed was that it got REALLY really hot, which I didn't really consider to be a good thing, because it was starting to burn my hair. Maybe it's better for people with finer hair, as mine is really thick and coarse.

I have now purchased two CHI hair dryers and neither one has last more than four months. Not very professional if you ask me.

This dryer cut my time down from 2 hours to 30-40 min! (it would be less time, but I'm not very good at blow-drying my own hair.) I also use about 1/2 the product I used to put on my hair, since it STAYS down, & straight with this thing! (it used to be, if i didn't put enough product in, it would bounce back later the same day) I brought it to my hairdresser who didn't believe me. At first, since it makes so little noise and doesn't blow a huge blast, she wasn't impressed. But when she was done blowing me out in less than 30 min, she was AMAZED. I gave her one for Christmas!

Everyone should own one of these! The first time I used it...everyone thought that I had gotten a new cut. I love it. It takes about half the time to dry my hair now (and I have a ton of it!)My hair is very thick and naturally curly. By using this dryer, my hair is straight with lots of bounce. Great experience! Would reccommend to anyone with hair!!

CHI - the name stands for quality and this product is no exception. I'm a hairdresser that loves this dryer and it saves me time between clients because of its efficiency and it's also very quiet.

Man ... at first I thought it wasn't going to be as powerful as my old dryer...but when this thing got going...was it silent...hot and
took 50% less time to dry my mega thick hair...even using the diffuser!...finally...not late for work!!!
My husband even said..."are you done drying?" geez that was fast!
I am loving this Chi Dryer!

This is the best dryer I have used in my 10 years of doing hair nothing compaires Thank you FAROUK SYSTEM.

I have thick wavy hair. Maybe this works good for people without frizzy or thick hair, but it didn't work on me. I had the exact same results as I would with a regular dryer. It took the same amount of time to dry, if not a little bit more. I'm so disappointed. It felt like it was working well (i.e. fighting the frizz) as I was drying it, but once I finished, five minutes later it frizzed up and poofed out. Boo Hoo

I have been using a CHI dryer for over one year. This is a must have if you have thick, curly long hair as I do. Not only is my drying time nearly cut in half using this dryer, the smooth & silky results are Salon quality. Worth the investment.
WONDERS on fine & baby fine hair

I have shoulder length/long super straight baby fine hair that I color to give it a little "damage" so that I can do something with it. I also use a Hot Tools curling iron or round stying brush. Until I bought this dryer my ends would look fried in a matter of weeks, taking me to the haridresser for another $75 haircut. 8 weeks after I bought this, I went in for my "trim" and I have significantly less split ends, if any. This is truly a must have investment for those w/ baby fine, fine, thin hair - I can't say enough good things about it!

I had my hair blow dried by my stylist today by the CHI Hair Dryer and I could not believe how quickly it dried my hair and how quiet it was! I am buying one today...

While this dryer provides superb heat and the benefits of an ionic dryer, the air flow is not terrific and it took me three times longer (30 minutes) to dry my shoulder-length curly hair than it ordinarily does with my usual professional dryer.
Great Dryer! Very Satisfied...

This dryer gets high marks on performance. Drys hair very quickly and effectively. Has low/high selection, cool button, diffuser, nozzle attachment.Dries hair without static or frizz. Extremely quiet & lightweight & easy to handle & maintain. A bit expensive but well worth the price. Dryer is of high quality and gentle on the hair so daily use is not such a burden. I've used a number of various hair dryers but I think this is the best one overall. Good for any type of hair. I love it!
