as a hair stylist i have used much better. i am a big fan of their flat iron and their products. it lasted me maybe three months. it no longer stays hot and only blows with cool air- not getting the job done. the owner of my salon is now having the same problem with her chi dryer.

I have a CHI hair striaghtner which works great on me hair so I thought the blow dryer would also. My hair felt dry after using the CHI blow dryer and didn't make my hair straight at all.
Unbelievable

All I can say is that this blow dryer has changed my life, seriously. It cuts drying time in half and it makes my hair look like it has never looked before. It is now silky and shiny and frizz free! I do not spend a lot of money on accessories like this, but I was convinced into this by my hair dresser and realized that it is well worth the money! Im surprised it's not more.. with the results that I have seen. All in all I highly reccomend this item, it a wonderful purchase!

My hairstylist recommended the Chi hair dryer and I am very satisfy beside the price. ( A little expensive). But the drying time now is half compared to the others hair dryers I used before. My blow dry last longer with less frizziness. (My hair is very curly and frizzy). I recommend it . The prize is worth it.
Hot Stuff

I'm a stylist in Manhattan and I've had this drier for over a year and have not had a problem with the motor at all. However the switches are in an odd place and you do have to be careful with the heat. It's easy to burn yourself or a client. Changing the diffuser or nozzel once you have started can be very tricky as they get so hot. Also, the cord gets tangled easily and at least once a day I have to unravel it or it gets to short for me to use effectively. Just this week the nozel cracked so I have to replace it. I loved how light and quiet it is, and it is a wonderful drier, but I won't replace it with a CHI. I even wrote the company about my cord issue and their response was less than enthusiastic. I love this drier, but for professional use it has enough drawbacks to make me consider another brand.
Chi vs. T3 Tourmaline Dryer

I had heard and read so much regarding the Chi and the Tourmaline Ionic hair dryers and could not decide which one, if either, to try. Finally, I decided to buy the Chi. Discovered that it does become extremely hot after 5 mins and that the buttons are awkwardly placed. For example, if you choose to use the cool button sporadically, your forefinger is going to get quite a workout. On the other hand, the Tourmaline T3 dryer offered superior drying power, leaving my hair in great condition. I purchased a diffuser to use with it and found that, unlike with the Chi, my dryer remained cool to the touch while drying my hair. Moreover, the Tourmaline dryer was lighter and much easier to manuever. In my opinion, the T3 Tourmaline Dryer is the clear winner in this competition.
I love it.

I've had this for 11 mos now. It takes me exactly one hour to dry because I have soo much hair that I work through by sections. It was amazing for the first few months: quiet, lightweight, sleek design, includes flat nozzle & diffuser attachments. The buttons are awkwardly placed, I accidentally turn it off at times. Drugstore dryers last exactly 6 mos. This has definitely outlasted but it's starting to smell like burnt hair. I've cleaned the lint trap several times. I hope its life isn't dwindling away..
Too Hot!

I'm sending this dryer back if I can. It blows too hot, and there is no way to cool down the heat. I have fine hair and am afraid that the heat will break my hair. Also, the dyer is heavier than I thought it would be.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

This is the best blow dryer EVER!!! I have very course and very very thick hair. It used to take me about 40 minutes to blow dry my hair but now it literally take half. And it leaves your hair feeling very soft and in my case minimizes friz. I know its alot of money but trust me it is SO SO worth it!!!

My hair never looked as good as it did when I left my stylist. I was using the same products, and brush but knew my hair dryer was less than optimal. This was alot of money to spend on a hairdryer but I really like the results. I have a lot of very fine hair that always took forever to dry. This works much fast and helps my hair look sleeker and less frizzled. I like it...but do agree with other reviewers that the on/off button is poorly placed and often accidentally pushed.

Love this dryer!

This dryer is far and away the best hair dryer out there. It really leaves your hair much shinier and smoother than a regular dryer, or even ordinary salon dryers. And it makes it much more humidity resistant also. Was surprised at some of the negative reviews about the quality of this product. My sister and I have each had ours more almost a year and a half, with no problems at all.

I bought my CHI last week and I love it!! It is lightweight and so quiet compared to storebought blow dryers. If I add up the time I have spent blow drying my hair I can safely say that the time spent would alone more than cover the cost of this product. I swear it cuts down the time by at least 1/2 an hour..... I have super super thick, fine individual hairs. I dreaded blow drying my hair every other day and now I look forward to it! The only negative is that the buttons should be placed better due to my fingers hitting them and turning it off....

Well, here it goes yes CHI is a very (great) brand but it doesnt mean you HAVE to have one. If you work at a Salon and use it more then once a day yes youll get your money out of it. Although I have to say i bought 2 flat iron's (CHI) and they both broke on me less then 2 months old (well that is not old so new). If your like me and have medium hair moderetly thick hair naturaly idk wavy - straight. Just go with one that is not that expensive but has decent amount of watts. The only reason I was even thinking about this blow dryer was that i dont mind straighten my hair it's that I hate BLOW DRYING it. But my friend has this blow dryer and one day i used hers and it works just like my $26 HOT TOOLS Ion Travel Dryer I love it. I hoped this helped you save your money. Think about it buy a 20- 40 dollar one then buy good brushes heat spray and you still have what $ 100 dollars in you POCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What makes more sense it your choice your money so I did all I could to tell you just dont get if it's not nessacary. <333 Muah

Hello... I am about to tell you the real deal on this product... This is my first professional hair dryer... Yes,this product will dry your hair 3x faster than reg hair dryer... yes, my hair was shinier.. yes, my hair was less frizzy... yes, there is lesss breakage ( Ive been using it for over a mnth)... this dryer is really really quiet and lightweight... Okay, the bad thing about this product is that the buttons are placed right where your fingers are, causing the dryer to turn off while using it (which can be annoying).. the diffusier comes off with any wrong movement).. Overall though, it is worth it... I recommend this product to everyone... As a matter of fact I just purchased the chi straightener today... Happy Buying!!!!
