when using the chi, use small sections, run the flat iron through the hair at a faster pace then you would a cheap iron and here is the key: use a comb following the iron, not a wide tooth comb or a brush. using the comb helps get your hair as straight as possible.

Wait for it to get hot before using... but not too hot! If its too hot it seems like it will burn your hair -- even with the covering (that you pay $120 for!) it gets hot!

For those of you that are not familiar with CHI iron, it will obviously damage your hair if you don't use a serum before use. So use a serum and take care of it!

To prevent hair damage from the heat, use flat iron spray to protect the hair like Biosilk or Lustrasilk Smooth Ends Leave In Conditioner.
