The best of 4 flat irons I've owned, and despite my very, very thick hair, I don't need to turn up the heat all the way. I like that the heat is adjustable at all as some irons don't have that feature.

I did alot of research on the Chi flat iron and decided to get it. In less than a year it completely stopped working and I was having trouble with the wire. For such an expensive flat iron, I definetly expected more.

it usally takes me 1 hour and 30 mintunes to do my hair with the blow drying and straingting but with the chi it takes me 30 mintunes with out me having to blow dry my hair it looks fantcastic it softer !! i have tryed everything relvon to speaclily nano ones but this one works the best for me i have extreamly bad frizzy and wavy hair and when i use this it works the best you must buy it !!!!!!

I have been begging my parents for this straightener forever. I finally got it, i love it!! i have really curly hair and the chi turbo makes it look naturally straight and it is soft.
It can be expensive, but trust me its deffinately worth it! :)
it also now takes me less time to straighten my hair because the plates are bigger and can heat to a higher temperature! this straightener is amazing!!!

I have the most curly hair you have ever seen, very frizzy, I first used the product at my sisters house. My niece owns one. I fell in love with it, I like the fact that it can get really hot which is what my hear needs. The only I don't know is how to get the roots done so I use the Blow Dryer and then the flat iron and everybody where I work loves it. They think I went to the salon to get it done.

I JUST PURCHASED THIS IRON AND I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW GREAT MY HAIR LOOKS! I HAVE THICK CURLY HAIR AND THIS IRON GETS MY HAIR STICK STRAIGHT. ALSO IT DOESN'T MAKE MY HAIR LOOK DRY. MY HAIR LOOKS HEALTHIER AND SHINIER THAT EVER! I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER FLAT IRON AGAIN. I LOVE MY CHI!

After years of owning a Hot Tools I thought I would upgrade to the CHI and see what the hype was about. Very disappointed. I thought my hair came out very frizzy! Not satisfied with this product at all! I will go back to my hot tools!

This straightener is much much better than my last! My hair is very wavy and curly near the scalp so the CHI Turbo is perfect. It does take a good twenty minutes to get my hair perfectly straight, so its no miracle worker, but I highly reccommend it to people who have wavy, frizzy, or curly hair. It smooths and shines my frizzy hair! It gets very hot which is great, but its not the best straightener for bangs. If your hair is thin or already fairly straight you might want to opt for a thinner CHI. Also, it really straightens and can suck the volume out of your hair so I usually blow dry first for volume, wait fifteen minutes and then straighten so that my hair isn't completely flattened to my scalp. I've had it for a few months and its still in great condition so unlike other reviewers, mind has not displayed any defects or indication of breaking down any time soon. The brand is great and I love my straightener!

After 5 uses, the internal wiring caused the iron to overheat and melt the plastic holding the ceramic. Probably bad thermostat.

I have extremely thick, wavy and frizzy hair. And I must have gone through at least four other hair straighteners until I found this one. It's fabulous. It heats up to the highest temperature in less than thirty seconds, and it used to take me close to an hour to straighten my hair, now is takes me twenty to twenty five minutes. Not to mention that the actual iron is about two inches wide which also has helped cut the time in half (or even a little less). This hair straightener has changed my life. Everyone complements me on how my hair looks "naturally straight" as opposed to that "dead, straight fake look".
I would strongly recommend that you buy this one. Don't waste your time trying to stay "in a low price range" which is what I tried to do. It's totally worth the extra money.

i have been begging my mom for the chi turbo for two years and finally this christmas i got it. GET IT! it makes your hair shiny STRAIGHT and no knots. even if you have dead ends you wont beable too tell when you use the chi turbo!

My family absolutely loves the Chi and our intentions are to purchase a couple more. I have three girls, ages 12,14, and 20 and we all have medium-long thick hair. This particular Chi is designed for our hair types and we are pleased with it. We will be purchasing the 1 inch as well because they are easier to handle when we want to curl or wave our hair. Great, great products!!!!

The chi is fantastic!
I am 27 & mixed, half black and half white. I have very different hair. I've been forever looking for something that would cut the process of straightning my hair in half and not fry my hair . I went to a salon and the stylist swore by it so I bought one. I searched for the best price,& ordered it. I could never go back to the old way. I have two daughter 4 & 5 and it takes 5 min. to straighten their hair and they ask all the time.

I purchased this product for my daughter. She is very happy with it, as am I. I think I use it more than she does. It heats up fast and keeps hair straightened. Definately would recommend this product.

This iron holds the Chi standard at it's current hight rating. I have REALLY curly hair and my 2" iron easily flattens it in one quick swipe.

I LOVE this flat iron!!! I had used a hot tools iron before purchasing the Chi iron this past September. I had to try the Chi after reading all the positive reviews. I have very natural curly hair. This is by far the best flat iron I've ever used!!! I wondered if it would damage my hair, but my hair looks and feels as healthy as ever--honestly, it's the best my hair has ever looked and I've always gotten compliments on my hair!!! My hair stays much straighter than it ever has, even in rain and humid weather. I wouldn't trade my Chi for anything!!!

My friend had this iron, and when i borrowed it, i knew i had to buy one, and since i have, i love it. Having curly hair, i have tried countless products and irons to get my hair straight, but nothing has worked as great as the chi iron!

I have been straightening my curly hair for the past 11 years. I have tried a lot of different straightening products and irons, but the Chi Turbo 2" is definitely the best. This product has improved the overall health of my hair and straightens my hair well and fast. My only complaint about this product as that about 6 months after the warrenty ended it started having "glitches." It does not always want to heat up, or sometimes, while I am straightening, it just dies. I have taken good care of it (its expensive!!!) and never wrap the cord. I am noticing other people have experienced this same issue.
Other than that one annoyance, I really like this product.
