Good Purchase

I have used an array of flat irons for my hair. I had an older ceramic model and was tired of it taking me an hour to do my hair. I had used my sister's Kenta for a while, because that's what they used at the salon I go to (and worked at for 6 years). I needed to get one for myself, and my stylist told me about the CHI. I have been using this one almost everyday and it takes me a fraction of the time to do my hair with great, straight results. Plus, the things I like about the CHI over the Kenta...it doesn't pull my hair like the Kenta, and the grip is a lot more comfortable. I used to burn my forehead with the Kenta too because of the rolled edges of the iron, but the CHI doesn't have that problem either. I would recommend this flat iron for long, wavy hair.
Didnt like it.

I was very dissapointed with this product. It fried my hair. I've never had a straightener damage my hair so bad. I do not recommend this product.

i bought this striaghner from this site; folica and i had it for about 1 year, and it worked great, you cant compare it to no other! you have to buy it ! but.. theres just one thing.. for a couple months now my chi turbo 2'' is not working it refuses to turn on, i tried different outlets i tried plugging it in an out reseting it an everything, and it just wont turn on; im very upset because it was such a goos straightner and it worked good and i never did anything to it.. but other than that, it works great!

I have extremely coarse / curly hair and with my old Remington flat iron (which the ceramic coating started to scrape off after a couple of uses)it would take me at least an hour to straighten my hair and even then the ends still looked fried. With my Chi it takes me a 1/2 hour and the ends look great! The plates still look brand new even after multiple uses and it's also very easy to clean. This is a great flat iron!

I LUV it!!! I am now able to use the CHI flat iron when my hair is still damp and my hair looks wonderful. I was not able to do that with my other flat iron. I purchased the 2 inch CHI. It saves me time in the morning as I get ready to go to work .My hair looks so shiny and healthy; people now ask me if I have colored my hair. I made a great investment by purchasing the CHI. I have recommended it to all of my sisters and friends.I'm 40 years old now and I wish this flat iron would have existed when I was in Jr. High and High school.

I purchased this product in May, 2006 and it worked great for a couple of months, then the light on it started blinking on and off sometimes and be off when the iron was on. Therefore, when it blinked off, the flat iron did not heat so the product had a short in it and became defective after 2 months. Paying this amount of money to last only 2 months is outrageous! There is only a 30 day money back guarantee on the product so beware.

Folica.com was extremely fast with my order. I was very satisfied with this site and will most likely use it again in the future. My new flat iron works very well and I love it. I highly recommend using this site!

As a high school student with very thick hair that I like to be pin straight, with my old flat iron it took me forever to straighten my hair. My Chi turbo heats up in a flash, straightens my hair with one pass, and leaves my hair straight as a pin and shiny. It's also pretty and comfortable in my hands. I'm happy!
Light and Manageable

I love it! It doesn't pull your hair or get caught in between the plates as you glide the straighter down through your hair. Very light and manageable. Although it does get really hot, so i would recommend to put a heat protectant on your hair.

I have to say that this iron is perfect. It gets really hot but you can adjust the temperature, so if your hair is thinner it doesn't have to be on the hottest. The 2" gets the job done faster, so it's good for me because I have long, thick hair. My hair does not frizz in humid weather, which is crazy. The only negatives compared to a thinner model are that it does not get as close to the scalp, and it does not do as good a job at curling the ends, the way thinner ones can. But for the time it saves me straightening, it is definitely worthwhile.

the look that looks best on me is soooppper straight. i previoulsy had an ion straightener, and i have very thick hair. everyday, i would wake up at 5;30 am to straighen my hair. i woul have to go through every strand like 10 times. i thought this was normal just because my hair is so thick. then one day, i used my sister's straighener (the chi turbo) and i made my thick hair stick straight in 10 minutes!! the next day, i bought the chi. ive only had it for a few days, but I LOVE IT!!!
Worth every penny!

After spending lots of money over the years on lower priced irons that either wore out or didn't provide the results I wanted, a friend suggested Folica.com and directed me to the CHI ceramic flat iron Turbo 2". It seemed like a lot to pay but after several days deliberation, I decided to try it and if I wasn't pleased, I could return it. Interestingly enough, I had my appt. with my hairdresser (of 9 years) during the time my new iron was being shipped....and I mentioned to her how pleased I always am when I leave her shop but I can't get the same results at home. See, my hair is just above my shoulders, very full but very fine and very curly. I like it best when it is straight and shiny after she styles it. Well turns out she uses a CHI flat iron on me at the shop and I didn't even realize it when I ordered mine. I told her what I had ordered and she expressed concern that the 2" width might not have been the best choice as the one she has and uses is the narrower version. I got my iron the very next day and stopped in to show her and she was even jealous as her iron is an older one and not the Turbo. The 2" width is actually PERFECT for me even though my hair isn't longer. I am able to style my hair with my new iron in very little time and the wider iron is so easy to use and I still can't believe the results!! I was blown away the first time I tried it. Wow--my hair was sooo pretty!!! My hair turns out straight and shiny as I have NEVER been able to get it to look with the lesser priced irons I was getting at the big box type stores. And best of all, it even STAYS that way till the next washing, regardless of weather or what I do. I even use the highest temperature setting and my hair is in great condition. The way the sides of the iron are rounded allows me to easily turn the ends under or up if I choose. I have thrown out all the flat and curling irons I used to own. And the pouch is WONDERFUL as I can lay my iron down on it as I style and also put the hot iron in it as soon as I am done. Also the cord is high quality and doesn't get all twisted at all. There are no hot parts of the iron that I have come into contact with my face or hands--unlike other irons I have used. I LOVE MY NEW CHI FLAT IRON!!!!! I truly could not be more pleased!!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who has untamed curly/wavy hair like mine and wants shiny, straight hair. IT REALLY WORKS! It was worth every penny.

I love the flat iron- it works well. I wish it opened up a teeny bit wider, but overall it does its job.

it really works and is worth the cost--DEFINETLY. Even in humid weather (no joke) there are NO Frizzies!!--and my hair is naturally REALLY curly so you can only imagine if you have soft curls or relaxed waves. It's really great and heats up in less than a minute. The only caveat? The larger iron can't get the little front-of-the-head frizzies-so just get the smaller iron too or use a curling iron. The website rocks too so go for it.

Love this product. My fight with my wavy hair is on going. This works wonders for the days I'd rather have straighter hair. My only concern is that my hair might dry out if I use it daily. I condition like crazy and only use the iron a few times a week.
