I think that it's the best straightener ever! I've gone through so many straighteners over the years and nothing compares to this one. It leaves your hair so straight and shiny without having to go over your hair so many times. Totally worth every penny.
works great but product matters

After reading other reviews about being careful not to use products with alcohol and then flat iron my hair, I turned to a professional for more advice. She walked me through the steps of using product that seals and protects my hair from heat, and how to blow dry my hair so it is pretty straight to begin with. I've found that this process does make the flat iron it's most effective, and if you use a product that protects the hair from high heat, you can make 1 quick pass on small portions of hair to get the desired effect. I usually wash my hair every other day, but was able to go an extra day and it still looked great with a 5 minute touch up. I'm very pleased with this flat iron, and it works much better than a cheaper model I've had for a while.
Not a well made product!!!!!

This product is not a well made product at all. It was very flimsy. It didn't straighten my hair very well either my 25 dollar straighter worked better so I sent it back right away.
not really worth it!

I hate to be critical about a product but I just received my Chi Turbo 2" two days ago and I had to mail it back today. It was ok the first day I used it. I wasn't super impressed because I had to go over my hair SEVERAL times before it even began to smooth and straighten it. I have been using a cheaper straightener I got from a beauty supply store for the past four years and was so excited about finally getting a Chi. However, I am disappointed because my cheaper one was much better than this one! Then this morning when I used it, it did not heat up enough (and I had it on the highest heat setting) to make any progress! I was so disappointed! I don't know if I possibly received a bad iron, or if they are all like this but I sent it back today and ordered the Sedu 1 1/2 from this site (they are running a special now and it is cheaper than this one right now, AND it is the #1 ranked flat iron)! So, if you are thinking about purchasing this flat iron, look around and check out the Top 10 flat irons page on this site! I think that will help you decide and be more confident in your decision! This iron was not even ranked in the top 10, I should have looked at that first!
Great Flat iron!

Chi Turbo Ceramic Flat Iron

Heated to capacity heat very quickly. I liked having the ability to control the iron heat with the temperature setting feature. The two-inch Chi Turbo iron is great for natural curly hair as it delivers a wider area of real estate area for which to straighten the hair and provides plenty of heat versus the 1" Chi iron. I am very satisfied with the performance of the Chi Turbo iron.
I've gotten many compliments

The CHI is doing a fabulous job to straighten my hair. After using hot tools for the past few years I would recommend CHI for someone who straightens their hair everyday, or wants it super straight.
Best Flat Iron!

I LOVE this flat iron! I have used others, but this one is by far the best one. I have curly hair and this iron gets my hair so straight and it does not take as long as the other ones I used in the past! Highly recommend this item!
Awesome Results

I have very thick, coarse, naturally curly hair and I want smooth, sleek, FLAT hair. I got just that with this product. I have another brand of flat iron that I was using and it didn't do much for my hair, it was straight, but not flat and definitley not smooth. I was told that the Chi was the best and I waited for a long time to get one because of the price, but I can assure you that it was the best money I have ever spent. I was so pleased when I got my hair just like I wanted with the first use of the Chi iron. I only wish I had bought one sooner.
Works Great!

I've used this straightner before and mine always broke because of the cord but then I learned with getting this one that if you wrap the cord around the straightner its bad for the cord (as with blowdryers too). So this time I definately won't be wrapping the cord around it causing stress on the base of the straitener loosening up the cord. But I love this straightner since it's ceramic it does not damage my hair and with the use of straigtening spray enhancers it tripples the straightening time of my hair and allows me to style my bangs. My hair stays straight much better than with other straighteners. I LOVE IT!!!
Love it

I love my new flat iron. My hair is straight and shiny. I really like that it has different tempature settings because I use a different setting for my bangs than I do my hair. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I have been straightening my hair for the past 8 years and my hair is very thick and a little wavy but it gets frizzy. This product is mediocre. I have used worse (conair) and better (pebco) <---which is much cheaper. This does not reduce frizz in my hair and does not make it smooth and straight and definetly takes longer than other straighteners to straighten your hair. Possibly my hair type is not meant for this iron, I dont know. I think people who like the product either have more manageable hair or arent looking for perfection, or possibly its the best they've ever had, but its not the best out there.
AWESOME!

CHI Ceramic Flat Iron Turbo 2"

The CHI Ceramic Flat Iron Turbo 2" is the only product I have ever found to straighten my hair. I have natural curly hair and have tried everything to straighten my hair. I have had straightening chemicals put in and even those did not work. I have always wanted my hair straight and without any frizz, the CHI Iron did this for me. I can't stop running my hands through my hair.
LOVE IT

My sister recommended that I try this flat iron and I was skeptical at first and didn't want to spend the money but it was well worth it. My old flat iron would leave my hair dry and my hair was still not as straight as I would have liked it to be but this flat iron leaves my hair smooth, silky and straight. I love it and would recommend it to everyone.
I love Chi

I've always kept one hot iron in my office (Solia) and one at home (Conair professional). When my Conair went (just stopped working)...I treated myself to this hot iron.
I absolutely hate it. 1) It's hard on your hands 2) it makes my hair look like it's full of split ends and 3) it does a very poor job on my bangs.
I kept on waiting for myself to get used to it....but it just hasn't happened.
BIG WASTE OF MONEY. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Good Purchase

I have used an array of flat irons for my hair. I had an older ceramic model and was tired of it taking me an hour to do my hair. I had used my sister's Kenta for a while, because that's what they used at the salon I go to (and worked at for 6 years). I needed to get one for myself, and my stylist told me about the CHI. I have been using this one almost everyday and it takes me a fraction of the time to do my hair with great, straight results. Plus, the things I like about the CHI over the Kenta...it doesn't pull my hair like the Kenta, and the grip is a lot more comfortable. I used to burn my forehead with the Kenta too because of the rolled edges of the iron, but the CHI doesn't have that problem either. I would recommend this flat iron for long, wavy hair.
