i have very VERY thick, curly, rebelliouas hair. before i got this straightener it would take me two and a half hours to straighten my hair. but now it only takes an hour. still kinda long but it more than cut the time in half. it heats up quickly too. i love it.
Best buy!

This flat iron is simply a must have for the girl who wants sleek, straight, and shiny hair. It straightens without flattening the hair to the head, and doesn't snag or damage strands, regardless of hair texture, thanks to its temperature control. I have thick, wavy, Eurasian hair prone to frizz (especially in Southern Canadian humidity - we compete with Florida for humidity in June, July, and August), and my previous flat irons (including a useless Hot Tools and a non-ceramic Isinis that managed to live for 5 years) are of no comparison to this little, velvet covered gem. My Isinis went up to 375 degrees, as dose this Chi, but there is a great and noticeable difference between the two: the non ceramic had my hair straight but didn't keep it that way through humidity or light drizzle; the Chi has my hair straight but bouncy, and manages to keep it straight through unfriendly weather. It should also be mentioned that the Chi gets hot fast, which is great for rushed days.

Also, Folica has amazing customer service - I live in Canada and this reached me within 2 days, shipped by UPS. If the cost of shipping sounds higher than usual, note that Folica includes brokerage fees, which, if not included, can go up to $30 and tax when UPS reaches your door. The cost of this iron, plus shipping, plus the currency exchange, was still considerably less than if I had picked it up at a local beauty supply store. Don't hesitate to purchase from Folica. They are the best!

so when i first got this it worked great for like the first 2 months and now after 6 months its not as hot as my 20 dollar one from cvs. It now takes it forever to heat up and it doesnt get very hot at all... its the biggest waste of money ever.
A must have

My daughter and I use our flat iron everyday - we are very satisfied with it's performance and the results we get.
Not as good as the 1 inch one

I have been using tge 1 inch chi for a year now and I ordered the turbo 2 inches with very high expectations. However i came to realize that the smaller chi is way more useful and ergonomic (easy to work with) in the sense that you can reach to your roots..
Loved it!

I got my Chi for my 13th b-day and its awesome so far...when i would get up in the mornings and straighten my hair, i would have to blow dry it and then go over it with my conair, which didnt heat up very hot and only ran over your hair, it didnt actually make an effort to straighten it, and this usually took me 30 minutes, now it only takes me 15 minutes to straighten my hair w/o blow drying it!! and it looks perfect. i have THICK CURLY/WAVY HAIR...anyway i reccommend this straightener to anyone who wants perfectly straight hair in little time.
GREAT PRODUCT

I've always had difficulty finding hot irons that would straighten my hair but the Chi does it effortlessly. In addition, the Chi seals my hair blocking out moisture during wet weather preventing it from curling or frizzing! I've had my Chi for over six months and it works just as well as it did the day I bought it. Definitely worth the money!
Excellent product

The flat iron really works better than other brands that I purchased before. It is good to use on frizzy and tough hair.

Price is the best I have found anywhere and the thicker 2' makes it easier to straighten my mane in shorter time. . .AND it actually will stay while I sleep! THat has never happened before!

Now, Im only 13. But this product is great. I have thick wavy hair to my shoulders. This straightener makes my hair as straight as a pin. It heats up right after you turn it on. When I plugged it in the light immediately turned on. I thoght something was wrong when it heated up that quickly. everyone loves my hair at school. You also only have to run the straightener through you're hair once. make sure you use heat protector product to put on ur hair before you straighten it. If you have super curly thick hair or any type of thick/wavy hair, this is the product for you! The money is worth it. In fact it should be worth more! Just get it!
Great Product!

I am European and moved to America a few years ago. Since then I have had major problems trying to find decent hair products and styling tools that work for me.
I have a lot of very thick, wavy, long hair. And having lived in Missouri and now living in Virginia I've had to deal with lots of lovely humidity!
This particular Chi is a wonderful styling tool. Yesterday I washed my hair in the morning and partly dried it and wore it up for the day, I got home and my Chi had arrived so I waited til my hair was dry and I set the temperature just below half way and slowly ran it over sections of my hair and it just glides, it didn't pull or anything! The result is/was smooth, silky soft hair.
Since moving to America I used the con air straightener and it just wasn't up to parr. In the UK I used the Babyliss ceramic and that was pretty good. But the Chi is the best I've ever used, and even better than going to a salon.
I would definately recommend this straightner. Also Folica.com for great pricing and a good shipping process. Thanks for making my life easier!
It works like magic!!!

I used to get a staightner in my hair every couple of months and my hair started to look real bad, so I heard a some girls that I know talk about the chi iron. I decided to try it out myself so I bought it and let me tell you it worked magic on my hair. It looks as straight and good as if I went to the salon and got a straightner. A+++ to the chi.

I love this iron because of the 2" size plates gets hair done in half the time. I do not like that this iron comes with NO information on how to properly use it for different types of hair (i.e. temperature etc.) Other than that I would suggest to spray hair with a protector first and this iron ROCKS.
I love it

ok so so far i have had my flat iron for about a month and it has been great... the only thing is that at the edge of the flat iron were the mouth opens my hair tends to get a little stuck so ir rips my hair .. so it might be a little defective, but its ok because i have found the way to get around it .. other than that im ok, i even have friends that are testing it out so they can buy themselves one !!
I liked it....

Believe it or not I used to have great long hair until I decided I wanted to get the thermal reconstruction/ japanese straightening/rebonding done for a cheap price. Don't do it! I got my long hair done because I was just way too sick of blow drying it and putting different products in my hair and I found a real cheap price at Warren, Michigan called La Mirage, if I were you be careful!!!! The hair stylist will blame you or your hair if she gets it ruined and she will con you into buying her extremely high priced hair reconstructor don't fall for the same thing I did. I'd rather spend 20 minutes with this hair straightener and trust me it's well worth it because my hair is almost down to my butt and ruined thanks to the hands of a certain hair stylist at La Mirage. After I shower my hair is so ruined I can't even brush it but after the ceramic straightener my hair feels and looks great.
