I bought this straightener a little over a year ago and it has just stopped working. It will turn on every now and then but it is not reliable. I wont purchase another due to the fact that this seems to happen quite frequently. I went with a sedu straightener this time!

i have had the chi for 2 yrs bought at pure beauty store and liked it a lot at first did help flatten out the volume i had but made it so dry after repeated uses over 2 years-i used it almost everyday with thermal sprays-basically there are better irons out there-Hai digistick is my favorite although only had it for 2 months

I have had my Chi for about 7 months and up till today it worked great. But today it shorted out and stoped working, So I would not recomend this chi to anyone unless they liked spending a hundred dollars every year for a new one.

This flat iron dissapointed me - It died just 3 months after I purchased it! Unacceptable for such an expensive iron.

I have now had two Chi Turbos die on me. I am not abusive to my starighteners, and in the six years I have straightened my hair, this is the only brand that has out-right quit on me. First, the little red on light will flicker, then the straightener will work sparaticly. Finally it will be almost impossible to get the straightener to remain on and it will become useless. This is way too much money to spend on a product that has now failed me twice! I am now looking for something under 50 bucks that will work well.
P.S. when my chis were alive, they were WONDERFUL! Never seen anything work better.

This is the best flat iron i have ever had. My hair use to take 2 hours to straighten but since i got my CHI it only takes me an hour. my hair is curly, thick, and fizzy and this flat iron straightens it soo easily. its increadible. I will never get any other hair straightener other than a CHI. FO REAL!! Yall need to buy this it works so great.

In my experience (and ive gone through 4 straighteners) the 1' Chi is the best! I treat mine well, and its lasted for a month (so far) It makes my hair shiny and silky, and as long as I use my Chi silk infusion my hair is damage free! If you have the money to splurge on it, go for it!!

The Chi 1" turbo is a very good flat iron. It straightens my hair well if I go slowly. I have very thick coarse hair. It works best if the hair is less coarse than mine.
Chi Turbos are the best !

I just got a chi for christmas . I immediately fell in love with it . I love how it glides through my hair . I am able to do so many really cute styles with it .I get so many compliments on my hair ! I love it so much . I totally recommmend it . It warms up so fast . ! I love it so much !

THIS IS THE BEST FLAT IRON I HAVE EVER HAD. IT STRAIGHTENS SOOOO FAST. WHEN I HAD A CHEAP HAIR STRAIGHTNER FROM WAL-MART IT WORKED OK & IT TOOK ME ABOUT AND HOUR AND A HALF TO STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR DECENTLY. WHEN I GOT MY WONDERFUL CHI IT TOOK ME ABOUT AND HOUR TO STRAIGHTEN MY FIZZY, CURLY, THICK HAIR. ITS THE BEST FLAT IRON EVER. IM NEVER GONNA GET ANY OTHER BRAND OF HAIR STRAIGHTNERS OTHER THAT CHI. WHO EVER INVENTED THIS IS A LIFE SAVER!!!!

The Chi is pretty average, but after having it 3 months it quit working on me. So, I bought the Sedu and absolutely love it!!!! Bigger and hotter!!!!

I was looking for a good striaghner but this one was not. I would not buy it again. I'm looking for another one. It will stay straight for 30 min tops its bad. It takes so long to use.

I bought this as a gift, but my best friend just loves them. She raves about how easy it is to straighten her hair as well as add curls.

I've never owned a flat iron before this Chi. My colleague had recommended that as a first time user, I should invest in the Chi rather than a cheap brand. It took me a while to save up for it but it was the smart thing to do - to spend $$ on this one.
Anyways, I bought it, I love it. My friends thought I had 'asian hair' to start out with but let me tell you, the Chi makes it cornsilk straight. I tried it on my friend who has curly hair, it worked a miracle! SHe got compliments all day and even got other ladies interested in the CHi.

This little thing is amazing, usually when I straightened me hair it was still full of body and never laid down nicely, now it is straight, flat and it lasts a couple days not a couple hours.

oh my god this was one of the worst flat irons ive ever bought.. yes it made my hair straight but
1. it was way too expensive
2. the warranty was only 6 months
3. mine broke on the 7th month so i couldn't return it
what happened was the heat switch just didn't work... if your thinking on buy this chi or the other chis don't they are crap they don't last at all and they are like a million dollars you can get a perfectly good flat iron from hot tools for half the cost... i have had my hot tools for over 5 years now and i love it.. it works just like the first day i bought it... once again don't even think about buying this product no matter who tells you to buy it anyway

I handled my CHI very carefully, making sure that the cord was not wrapped around the flat iron, not leaving it on longer than a few minutes etc. It stopped working in less than 8 months. I can not anyone to answer the phone numbers listed at Folic.com, so I called the manufacturer, Farouk Systems. They told me that they did not honor any of the warranties from any online sellers and that selling their products online was illegal. I have emailed Folica for resolution to this and will let the community know of the response that I get. Wish me luck !

I had an old cheep flat iron and never used it. Now I use my Chi everyday. I love it. It works great.
