I love my CHI Ceramic Turbo, 1" flat iron!! The iron doesn't fry my hair and my hair doesn't get caught in the plates. It's just always comes out silky smooth.

I love the Chi Ceramic Turbo Flat Iron. It heats up quickly. I have tried others and they pulled my hair. The Chi goes through the hair easily. I don't think I will ever use another brand.

After MUCH review, I decided to buy the CHI flat iron. This is only my second flat iron so I can't compare to other top brands as my first was a cheaper metal iron. It's been great so far!! I'm very pleased and happy with my purchase.

No problems with pulling hair, it's easy to manuever, takes NO TIME to straighten and doesn't burn my fingers (if I'm careful). My hair stays flat all day long...even in this Texas heat and humidity!!

Product Rating: 2 WORST FLAT IRON FROM CHI
Reviewer: MARIA PAREDES from MIAMI  Fri Aug 17 2007

I was so disappointed with this purchase. I have another Chi flat iron which I bought locally. When I went to buy another one for my daughter, they were out so I went on the web.

After ready the reviews I figured a Chi can't be bad. Well, this one was horrible. I used it and thought it was useless. I didn't say anything and when my daughter used it on her trip, she brought it back and said RETURN IT. Chi has better products and less costly.

Product Rating: 5 So far, so good
Reviewer: Jenni from San Marcos, TX  Mon Aug 13 2007

I have only been using the Chi iron for 2 months, but I am in love. I can't believe I waited so long to make this purchase. I am handling it like a baby, because I am so concerned about it breaking prematurely. So far, so good. I have strange kinky hair that frizzes at the mere thought of humidity and I live in Texas. The Chi is fantastic and I'm loving every minute of it. I have tried less expensive ceramic plate irons before, but they don't accomplish even half of what this one does. 2 thumbs up!

My hair is very thick and I love doing it but with my revlon flat iron I have to go over one area two and three times before it will straighten. With the CHI iron I went over a section of my hair once, went to go over it again but i didn't have to! I LOVE IT!!

Product Rating: 2 Horrible!
Reviewer: Amanda from Iowa  Thu Aug 09 2007

I just got my hair cut and the stylist who straightened my hair used the CHI Turbo flat iron and I swear that I probably had more split ends when she was done than when she cut mine off. My hair was still slighly wavy(un-like my Solia that I use at home) and it pulled the ends of my hair, it was horrible. Yes, I do not OWN this particular flat iron, but just from experiencing it in the salon, I don't see what the big deal is with CHI, it's way over-hyped. I bought my Solia for around $85 dollars, cheaper than what this particular CHI costs, and mine works better. Maybe the setting wasn't set to what I usually use? I don't know, but overall it's poor quality. Ever hear of the saying: Expensive isn't always better? I have, and this is certainly the case.

Product Rating: 5 I highly recommend the CHI

It heats up within 1 minute and it gets my hair / weave super straight without pulling it.

Product Rating: 5 My go back to Iron
Reviewer: Katina from NYC  Tue Jul 31 2007

I keep trying irons and i think this and the original Sedu are the ones ill return to. This does a beautiful job straightening, doesnt get too hot on the outside, doesnt snag which is VERY important to me. Im going to buy a spare

This product was a good investment at the time, but I didn't know that it wasn't 100% ceramic and I am now considering selling this flat iron and buying one that is 100% ceramic so as not to damage my hair. This is a good item to buy, but I would not pay more than 75 dollars for it now.

Product Rating: 3 Straightens hair, but dries and not reliable

For the past four years, I have only used a Chi. My first iron was the original model which I absolutely loved. After an unfortunate fall from the bathroom counter, I bought the Turbo, thinking I was moving up in the "Chi world". I didn't notice any difference in the performance of the Turbo, but was still satisfied with the straightening results.

I have owned this second Chi for a little over a year and now it is having electrical problems. (i have already read similar complaints.) It seems as though the switch is bad. The light flickers and I have to beat it to get it to come back on. Also, after cutting my hair really short (which I couldn't have done without straightener products) I have really been able to notice the damage that the Chi causes to my hair. In a month's time, my hair was fried from the usage of the Chi. I have been researching irons and it seems as though a sedu is the way to go. My next purchase will be a sedu.

Product Rating: 5 must-buy
Reviewer: tw from new york  Tue Jul 17 2007

chi's are the best without a doubt and you really cant beat this price, especially with the free case. the box it came in seemed a little ratty around the edges, but the product was brand-new. it leaves hair soft and silky especially if you straighten with a comb.

Product Rating: 3 Always Wanted a Chi...
Reviewer: Bobbie   Mon Jul 16 2007

Bought it at a good price, however this model is not the best of the Chi line. This is no better than a off brand I purchased a while back. I did use a different model Chi over this last weekend and it was AWESOME! I recommend CHI, but just not this model.

Product Rating: 4 Not too hot
Reviewer: Candace   Sun Jul 15 2007

I bought this brand because I used my sisters Chi and loved the Chi brand. This model although does not seem to get as hot as my sisters model. Not bad though.

Product Rating: 2 CHI Turbo not what I expected
Reviewer: Disappointed from Jacksonville, Florida  Thu Jul 12 2007

I have been using a $30 flat iron for about 1 year. I decided to finally break down and spend the money on a Chi. To my disappointment my $30 flat iron works better than the Chi. If you are considering making a purchase I would say the $30 flat irons you can purchase from a beauty supply store work just as well and even better in my case.

Product Rating: 2 Stopped working after a year and a half
Reviewer: Deb from Fayetteville, AR  Wed Jul 11 2007

I loved my Chi Turbo and used it alsmost every day. It was my first straightener so I had nothing to compare it to. But, after about 18 months of using it, the light started flickering and it wouldnt work. I would have to slam it closed repeatedly for it to come back on. It finally died on me a week ago. I happen to use a friends Sedu Straightener yesterday and it is better than my Chi was! I have been using a $30 Walmart brand for a week now and I am purchasing a Sedu tomorrow! If you are going to spend the money, get a Sedu! It works better than a Chi in my opinion and it costs the same. Plus, the reviews on it dont mention it breaking down, like so many of the Chi reviews! I gave it a below average review because it broke and I expect better quality for such a high price.

Product Rating: 5 AMAZING, 5 STARS
Reviewer: Kristen from Long Island, NY  Tue Jul 10 2007

this straightener is incredible. its the best size and the best one out there. on average it takes me 20 - 40 minutes to straighten my hair afte being fully dryed. it is incredible & i have owned this same one for 3 years now and am truly in love with it. if your looking for the right straightner, BUY THIS!!!
