LOVE IT!! I HAVE CURLY/WAVY HAIR AND HAVE USED FLAT IRONS FOR YEARS AND NOTHING COMES CLOSE TO THIS CHI CERAMIC FLAT IRON. SINCE I'VE BEEN USING THIS IRON (1 YEAR) I HAVE GOTTEN NOTHING BUT COMPLIMENTS ON MY HAIR. I WOULD AND HAVE RECOMMENDED TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I WILL NOT USE NO OTHER THAN CHI CERAMIC FLAT IRON. YOU GOTTA TRY IT!!

I bought this flat iron on the advice of my hair stylist. She could not have been more right on! It works exactly the way it is supposed to, is comfortable to hold, and easy to use. I highly recommend this product.

I ordered this iron on Oct 18th and requested 2 day shipping, and it was here on the 20th. I used it as soon as I got home and it was awesome. It heated up right away and is very gentle on my hair.
I LOVE THIS IRON!!!!

About a week ago I came on this website after using my roomates Original Chi, looking to purchase one of my own. I hoped to find something regarding difference in models but alas, there was nothing. So for those of you thinking of upgrading here's my new found opinion on the matter.
The original chi, is amazing. My roomate brought one in to the apartment and I was like wow. I've been looking for a flat iron for awhile and it is the only thing that has pleased me. It takes my extremely thick, course hair with a bit of a wave and brings all the life back to it that i walked out of the salon with. Shines better, layers more defined. Smooth and even. If it breaks in two months atlease the price is worth it for the present results.
Now for the turbo...so I decide to go out and by my own chi iron. After a battle with a stores halloween display they manage to wedge out a turbo and I say hell with the extra money, its an upgrade so it must be better, i'll take it. I couldn't have been more wrong. I used it twice and was mortified that for that much money I was still trying to convince my hair to straighten out and choose a direction. A bit better than my old conair straightener but not the amazingness I had seen with the original chi. I attempted it on two seperate occasions and unsatisfied exchanged it for the original.
Back home with the original chi in a minute and a half flat my hair was perfectly aligned and smooth as silk. Not kidding its a hot iron, one pass through and its a world of difference. **one last side note. I have very thick hair, it takes about a half an hour to blow dry and style straight. The turbo is a cooler iron with temperature setting while the original is just a very hot iron and you can't change temperatures. If you have fine or thin hair my comments may not apply to you and you may not need as much power.

This product is unbelievable. I have tried other less expensive irons that did not work. This was worth the price!! I recently moved to Florida and have hated my hair since the day that I got here. The humidity here has turned my curly hair into a ball of frizz. The Chi Flat Iron is just amazing, and my hair stays straight. It can be extremely humid, and my hair will still stay straight. I would definitely recommend this flat iron

I had heard such good things about the CHI turbo flat iron - so I was very excited to get one for such a good price. Regretfully, after two weeks, the iron stopped working.
Unfortunately the best iron I've ever used broke on me....

Unfortunately the best iron I've ever used broke on me :-( This is thee best iron I have ever used on my 3b, extremely resistant hair and it no longer works on low, I am soo soo pissed. I did not order thru Folica.com though. Im trying to decide whether to get a new one.....

LOVE IT!!! I only wish I had found out about this Chi flatiron sooner! I guess I am behind the times. I have extremely thick and curly hair. Even after blow-drying it straight it would still be too bushy and frizzy. Now I just blow dry my hair any which old way and then section my hair into 3 sections and about 5 minutes later it is like a completly sliky & smooth. And it stays that way even in humidity. I dont think I have worn my hair down as much as I have in the past 3 weeks as I did in the whole last year! No LIE!! Well worth the $. I dont see any breakage or damage. I set the temp about 3/4 of the way up. Also after ordering, it was on my doorstep in under 24 hours. After reading the reviews about the cord problems, I am trying to be very careful with the cord and to not wrap it around the iron when finished. I hope you all love it as much as I have.

I have had my orginal CHI flat iron for three years and it still works just like the day I purchased it. I LOVE MY CHI. My hairdresser has been trying to get me to switch to teh HAI flat iron, but I refused they both do an excellent job but recently her HAI burnt out. I am going to ask her if she wnats to borrow my CHI (ha ha) I am sticking to what I know to be true. CHI baby all the way !!!

I was not as impressed with CHI as I thought I would be. It's definitely better than any drug store hair straightner but I prefer the Solia straightner.

I really like this flat iron. I had the regular Chi but I dropped it so many times the plates came apart. This time I bought the turbo and I like it even better, It heats up fast and the velvet makes it easier to hold. I have fine hair so I like that I can control the level of heat too.

The other reviews I read were right on target. I received my chi on the exact date that was scheduled (less than a week after purchase). The product arrived in good condition and works great! I'm very pleased and would recommend folica to everyone.

I am in the process of growing out my chemical relaxer. I am so impressed by how well this flat iron was able to straighten out my new growth. I have used pressing combs in the past and there is no comparison. There was no pulling and my hair was shinny and smooth for days. After using the iron on the highest setting, I couldn’t tell where my 3-inches of non-relaxed hair met my processed hair!!!!! With this product there is no need for a relaxer anymore.

there is nothing special about CHI, its just a waste of money, all flat irons are going to damge your hair no matter what, but this one does it at a high price to your bank account. You want tourmaline! they are the best and least damaging to your hair, get BABYLISS, its the best out there, trust me I work in the industry and I have shopped around and tried a lot of products. DONT GET IT, its way way too much money!

I'm African-American and have extremely coarse natural hair. Coarser than many African-Americans, and the CHI works like a professional hot-comb if you take the time to go over your hair after blow drying. If it can get my afro straight, it should be able to straighten anyone's hair.
My only concern is that I recently moved overseas and it does not work with an outlet adapter, and I don't know what other brands are even comparable. I had bought a flat iron before, and it didn't even get my hair as straight as running a curling iron through my hair.

i wasn't a believer until i tried a chi out for myself, but this is THE BEST straightener i have evr owned. it is a GREAT investment. NO straightener from target, walmart, beauty mart or ulta could ever compare.
and this is a GREAT price :)

I'm am very happy with my CHI purchase. I had tried evey thing there is for straightening hair. I had heard that the CHI was the best on the market but held off on buying one because of the price, well it was the best money ever spent. I'm am so happy with the results.The CHI is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
