I have had this Straightener for about FOUR years. And it is just now starting to not work as well. It never really dried my hair out that much. And I am amazed that I am just now having to replace it.

I was so impressed and delighted to find a product that did what I needed for my hair. Those cheap flat irons only ruined my hair more, since I have been using the CHI flat iron my hair has looked and flet more healthy, I have more confidence in myself. The mat was also a great product, no more leaving my flat iron lying around collecting floating air particals. When I travel it also helps keep it all together. I am very pleased to spend the money I did to get such a great outcome. Thanks!
Love it, love it, love it!!!!

A girlfriend of mine recommended I try her Turbo Chi. She said it was the best iron she's ever used. I was hesitant because I've never paid that kind of money for any kind of hair tool. So I tried it and she was right (thanks Tara!). I had salon perfect hair in minutes! I bought one the next day! I have, in my opinion, unmanageable hair. Some parts are wavy, some frizzy, some barely curly. I've always had to use some kind of anti frizz product and it always took forever to straighten. This iron takes half the time to straighten. Before, the slightest hint of humidy would start making my hair fuzzy immediately. Now, nothing. I can walk in light rain/drizzle and my hair stays straight! I never thought that could happen. I can even wear my hair in a pony tail after it's been straightened, and I don't have the "dent." My hair even feels lighter. It's truly amazing. I've had mine now for almost a month and I am 100% satisfied. The girl I work with just bought one too. This iron is worth every cent. One word of caution though, try not to get hooked on it like I did at first and use it twice a day (once in the morning and again after workouts), because it does get really really hot, and even though it's ceramic, it will start drying your hair out. Just make sure you do a deep conditioning every few weeks. Lastly, the price is right on this web site (I paid $120). My beautician could only get it for like $10.00 less, but it didn't come with the heat pouch which I love as well!
love it!!!

I got a Chi a bit over a year ago. I have wavy/curly, coarse hair. The Chi worked well and I was overall happy with it. It does takes a while to flat iron my hair (1 hour or so) I didn't use the Chi often, maybe once or twice a month at most over the last year. Last month I went to turn it on and it's completely dead! Won't turn on, no light, no power at all. For the price the product should last longer so this was disappointing. I now use the Maxiglide because it is much faster to straighten my hair and will probably purchase a Solia flat iron for finishing touches. The Maxiglide works well but hair is not totally straight but the look is good so to change up the look I'd like another ceramic flat iron to create a totally straight, shiny look similar to the Chi. I will not buy a Chi again and hope that the Solia will last longer than my Chi did.
Not as good as the regular Chi

I bought the Turbo Chi after buying the original Chi because I wanted a flat iron with an adjustable temperature setting. The Turbo Chi doesn't glide through my hair as smoothly as the original Chi. It also seems that the sides of the Turbo chi aren't raised as high as the original Chi (the raised sides is what aids in creating the slightly curled look). I wish I had kept my original Chi. I would d just have to keep unplugging it to control the temperature from getting to hot. The turbo Chi also has a red velvet covering. I don't know what the covering is for and I don't like it.

I just bought a chi straightener and it works wonders on my hair. I had tried other straighteners and they were pulling out my hair. The Chi Turbo striaghtener does not pull out my hair and it keeps it from getting curly. My hair is VERY VERY curly, but when i use the Chi striaghtener and other chi products it is as straight as a pin. If you have somewhat thick blonde or whatever color hair use Chi, I highly recommend it.

This is a great iron. I'm a black woman so I need a good heated iron to get my hair straight. Initially, I purchased the original Chi. I deceided to upgrade because the turbo protects against burns with the felt outside and the black tip. However, I must mention that I think the original got hotter than the Turbo. But I'm happy I made the switch.
Great Product

I love CHI Flat Iron. It make my hair smooth and soft. It doesn't ruin my hair like the other flat irons did. It's the flat iron used by many hair stylists, who have all recomended it.

I had a CHI 1" turbo iron and my daughter took it with her to college - I ordered the sedu but I felt it was too strong for my fine hair - I returned it for the CHI and I am very happy with it.
Folica has excellent customer service and they made it very easy to exchange it. I will buy from Folica again.

Excellent product, it works quickly, makes my hair extremely straight, and it holds all day long. I would like it better if it had an obvious light when it is on, and an automatic shut off after 20 minutes of non-use.
Not what I expected

I researched flat irons for a while and thought the Chi was the best. A few people recommended it to me so I thought I would give it a try. I found that for the money it was not worth it. It never really heated up. It got hot but it wasn't hot enough. And after using my hair was extremely static clingy. I thought it might be the ceramic straightners that gave me issues because this was the first I tried. I wound up exchanging it for the Sedu and so far so good. I tried it for the first time last night and it worked great. Same price as the Chi but better quality...I think.

I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars trying to make my naturally thick and curly hair straight. I have tried other straighteners and all they did was make my hair frizzy. The Chi is absolutely amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who has given up hope on having beautiful, healthy looking, shiny, straight hair. That's what I have now and I couldn't be happier. It's definitely worth the price. I was a little bit nervous spending over $100 on yet another straightening tool, but this was money well spent by far. I just can't believe it. I thought the only thing left for me to do was to get the Japanese Straightening perm which is around $1,000 and it only lasts till your hair grows out again. Trust me buy the Chi you won't regret it!!!

I was told by many people that if I wanted great results to get a Chi, I bought one and spent a decent amount of money for the same outcome as I got with cheaper flat irons...I was really dissapointed.
