i had a chi and in the beggining it worked well and i loved it since i have naturally curley hair and it madeit straight as a pin but it stopped working less and less til i had to purchase a new one. i one only buy one if you are willing to replace it every year and a half or so but in the end it is totally worth it ♥

I love the CHI Cermaic Flat Iron, I had one that lasted for about three years, and this one has been nothing but great! I would recommend this straightner to anyone with curly, frizzy hair, it's great!

I bought my CHI in August of 2006 and I just started having problems with it. When I plug it in, the red light does not come on and I have to mess with the cord in order for it to work. This is a great product (in the beginning), my hair is naturally curly and it takes me about 15 minutes to straighten it with my CHI. Unfortunately, I have to purchase a new one every year. It doesn't last very long.
Great straightener but does not last long..

I bought my Chi a little over a year ago and when i first bought it, it was amazing. My hair would straighten within 20 minutes, normally taking 45 minutes w/ other straighteners. However, it's now started to break down more and more .. the blinking light doesn't stay on long enough and it's not hot enough anymore. I would recommend this straightener only if you plan to replace it with a new one every year, otherwise it's not worth it.

I have had my CHI for 3 years now(the same one) and it is starting to turn off as I am using it. It worked very good in the beginning but now it is like crap. If i were you I would buy it but only if you are planning on buying another one two years after. You will see the difference in your CHI hair straightner after 1 year.Good Luck!!

OKAy I literally just got my red, hearted Chi 5 minutes ago.. and that thing rocks...I used my youth pasor's wife's on a mission trip...and i completly straightenet my frizzy, wavy mess...so impressed!!!I have had a Wal mart straightner..all it did was de frizzify my hair..then i got a 80$ one and it straightens..but my hair curls up in 30 minutes after...my CHI was 110$..but totally worth it!!
I LOVE MY CHI!!!!!!!!

I exchanged my Chi Turbo for this one, after the Turbo stopped working only 3 months after I purchased it. Well, this one lasted another 3 mos. I took very good care of it, never dropped it, etc. I later learned that Chi's are very unreliable this way. This is unacceptable for such an expensive appliance. Luckily, I purchased this from a reputable retailer who gladly exchanged this for a Baybliss, which she said was more reliable. My advise is: If you feel compelled to buy the Chi, save the receipt, and find out the store's return policy BEFORE handing over your money. This way you will have recourse if and when it dies on you.

This flatiron, was exactly what had been looking for. It leaves your hair silky soft. Better than any flat iron out there. I use it on a regular basis and I use it on all of my daughters hair. It heats up very fast. I love it!

well i bought mine and IM IN LOVE!!! i knew it was good because i went to my friends house and used hers and it was like magic on my head. so i went on a MASSIVE search for one, it took forever to find one at a reasonable price... i paid $129.00 for it, but i also got the silk infusion and 44 iron gaurd free with it. and i absolutly adore the silk infusion its like a miracle in a tiny little bottle. But anyways i'm half white half black and my hair is crazy frizzy and extremely damaged because I bleached it white blonde. but the chi actually straightens my damaged parts with no problems, and i also have no troubles with hard to reach places on my head....I love this thing, best investment EVER!!

I got my first CHI about 6 years ago... It held up for five years even after getting dropped and stepped on by my three daughters... My oldest daughter is 17 and has VERY Thick coarse hair ,but using the CHI it only takes her about 15 min to straighten it... she also does curls... We bought a new red one when ours went out we still love it, but I must admit the original style is better.. It just feels better quality....

I bought this flat iron in 2001, and I stil have it and use it. It is easy to clean and heats up great. I have never had a problem with it and have taken care of it. It was worth the 100 dollars I spent.
It worked amazing until it broke.....

I've had my CHI for about a year and a half and it has done amazing work. Everyone has complimented my hair and flat iron, and want to use it at every chance they get. But about a month ago the on/off switch broke off. Well, my flat iron plays a crucial part in my getting ready in the morning so he sort of had to rig the button to stay in the on position 24/7 and then had to put super glue in it to make it stay. After a month or so of this, it gave out, and stopped working all together.
4 irons in 3 years!

I've had 4 break in 3 years! Way too expensive for that to be happening...I won't buy another one.

I loved my Chi for the first year and probably still would if the thing would even turn on! The switch completely broke off and there is no way of replacing it. Since the warranty is only for a year I had to buy a new one, and decided to go with a different brand this time.
Great product, but doesn't last....

I bought my Chi almost two years ago, and for the most part, I have absolutely loved it! But, about 6 months ago, it started turning itself on and off randomly and took twice as long to straighten. So, a couple of days ago, it finally gave out and stopped turning on. Seems to be a re-occuring problem from what I've read...
It is amazing and will make your hair look so straight and sily smooth, but it doesn’t last forever.

okay so i used to use those 20 dollar hair straighteners, but then one time i went over to my friend eriks house [some of you may know him as "ERIK WHO STRAIGHTENS HIS HAIR" from myspace] but ive known him like my entire life/ his entire life haha anywayss so obviously he straightens his hair cuz hes like scene..haha buuut anyways so i was at his house and then he straightened my hair using the CHI and once he did it was amazinging soft, it felt thinner(i have really thick hair), and it was shinier..so then when the chord didnt work very well but it still worked well enough to use he gave it to me and just bought a new one...but anyways so he gave it to me but about 4 month later the chord completely stopped working [when it first stopped working it was just that you would have to hold the chord in place to keep it hot] but yeah so it was AMAZING for the time it lasted and i think he had it for about a year before he gave it to me so yeah it lasted a while but now i think im gonna try the solia cuz it seems like the CHI but a little bit more durable.

Just wanted to say that this product is awesome for me b/c I don't have a lot of time on my hands to fix my hair for an hour especially, since I have 2 young children. It is a breeze for me to flat iron my hair and, then I'm good to go.

ok i first i love thisss! its straitens my hair and soften it at the same time and i know you think that becuz it gets so hot it might damage it...no not at all. the only problem is there is no heat adjust thingy..meaning there is no dail so you kant control ur tempature. but other than that buy this freaken thing already ur'll love this bad boy

I bought this straightener and it lasted a little less than a year...It works excelent but for a 100$ straightener to stop working is un call'd for...
After awile the Cord begins to loosen and you have to hold it perfect to remain on..I had to tape the cord in place...and I jus ordered a SEDU and i herd veery good reviews and i herd it was a better made for someone who uses there straightener every day...

I used many, many cheap flat irons. So I decided to use my friends CHI since I have heard so much how great it is. I used it once and fell in love. I would never go back to the cheap flat irons, Totally worth the money and great company. Fast Shipping!
