The Chi flat iron ROCKS!!! I have super kingky/curly hair and I usually go to the salon to have my hair straightend there. I was able to get my hair super straight, all by myself...and it didn't take an entire day to do it. Very goo investment and I love the cooling pouch that it came with :)

This iron is a great buy. I got it cheaper here 80$ than at a salon for 120$ and I recieved a free shipping deal. Can't beat that. My hair is smoother and less damaged. The only complaint is I am always in a hurry which if you have kids you know what I mean. So with the little ones I am always walking off and leaving the iron on. Very dangerous with a 3 year old and 15 month old. It is terrible that this type of iron does not have an automatic shut off. ALL my irons for the past 10 years have had automatic shut offs. The brand is great, I haven't looked to see if they do make a model with an automatic shut off?

I love the CHI irons. My hairdresser uses them, and now I don't have to go to her as often because I can do my hair just as well. I recommend them for anyone that wants silky, great hair. I also recommend them for any hair stylist!

I have been using this iron for two years now and love it. I recently bought one for my mom so that she could have silky smooth straight hair. She looks great! Would buy over and over. But dont have two because its so durable . Would recommend this product to everyone who wants straight hair

this is the BEST flat iron i have ever used!!! it even keeps my hair super straight in humid weather. it is awesome and i wouldn't trade it for the world! this flat iron is the best thing i've ever used on my hair, and i would highly recommend it!

I bought this flat iron for my daughter after trying my girlfriends, personally I haven't used an iron that work this efficiently, there is not drag on your hair and one quick pass does the job. I want one for myself now!

I purchased this for my 14 year old daughter who shares it with her 12 year old sister. Suffice it to say that between the two of them, things don't last as long as they would with an adult user. So far so good. It's been two months. Both love how it works, and I really like that it came with a heat proof case, which they use to keep it on when it is cooling. Nice product, reasonable price, would purchase again in a heartbeat. (Hopefully not too soon).

bought one for my girlfriend for christmas... it broke (didnt turn on, heat up, etc.. even after using the reset button) about 45 days after she recieved it. unfortunatly she did not keep the reciept/invoice. so we are unable to return it or get a refund.
i ended up buying her another Solia hair iron that is much better and we have had no problems with.
she was dissapointed with the Chi but happy with the solia.

I have owned my Chia flat iron for about three years now, I have very thick wavy curly hair, The Chia works wonders and straightens my hair to a softer thinner look, Then the un-thinkable happened, Getting ready for church and never even without a warning, it no longer worked! But I guess nothing can last forever.. I went out and bought another the same day.
If it breaks its your fault!

I hate to see people on here crying about how their Chi didnt last and it broke on them! I have been using the Chi for 5 years and i have a total of 3 the original black one, the red ultra chi and the new pink one that i just purchased this Christmas and ALL of them still work FLAWLESSLY!!!! I gave one to my mom to use and i kept the other two. Let me be first to say that i have dropped ALL three of my Chi irons from the counter onto tile, outside in the driveway while getting out of my car and friends of mine have accidently dropped them too and they NEVER stopped working!!! So unless you are throwing the thing against a brick wall with all your strength i dont understand how they can break!! Normal wear and tear shouldnt affect it to the point of non-working because its made to sustain that.
Bottom line CHI IS AWESOME and as a hispanic woman with naturally spiral curly hair it makes my thick hair straight as a board even in the humid texas weatherI LOVE IT!!!

At first I did not think the Chi was working as others have said theirs work. But now I have used it more and I love it. I have learned how to curl with it. I highly recommend it. I continue to go to the hair salon but in between visits I use my CHI and it looks just as good as going to the stylist.

I have thick, long, curly hair and was getting tired of it I needed a change. My friend has a Chi and totally loves it. I popped over to her place and she decided to starighten my hair for me. What a change....I totally love my hair. It is so silky and smooth and my husband just loves my hair. I was so thrilled with CHi, that I ordered one today. I cannot wait for it to arrive.

I have had mine for over a year and just love it. I'm curious about why so many of the negative reviews. Are people dropping their iron? Are people not using product on their hair? Some of the photos show extremely damaged hair. I believe if you take care of your hair with quality products and take care in using appliances by working in an area where you don't drop or knock them around people would be more satisfied. I would highly recommend this iron to anyone.

i think this does a wonderful job.... it use to take me 30 minutes to straighten my hair now it only takes 10..... and sometimes i curl my hair like with jell and it stills straightens it smooth and silky.....

I Love the Chi, I just got mine two days ago and my hair is so stright that it's crazy. I can't go anywhere without my Chi. If you want a falt iron, I say get the Chi.

I love my CHI as far as straightening my hair goes, but I am on my 4th on in the last 5 1/2 years...just expect an electrical type problem at about 1 1/2 years. I have had 2 of them have shorts and the 3rd one the switch just went out and it wouldn't stay on, but of course it always happens after the 1 year warranty!
I am trying a Babyliss Titanium straightener this time (it has a 4 year warranty) hopefully it'll work just as well and last!
