I had my chi for about 2 months and it got a short in it and stoped working. For the $$$$ it cost.Dont by it go find something else thats not so expensive and you wont fill so disapointed if it breaks.

What a miracle! My frizzy, wavy hair is transformed -- it is now smooth, shiny, and perfectly straight. I get so many compliments on my hair now -- and people can actually see my highlights! I hope this iron lasts, as I have read some comments from other customers saying that it tends to break quickly! I don't know what I would do if it broke.....(:

I used to have very healthy thick hair. But after bleaching it so much, it looks pretty damaged. I used the CHI and I was so hooked! It made my hair silky smooth. Unbelieve! Heats up so quickly. Highly recommend this iron!

I can't believe the results I said, after my neighbor finished my hair. It was soft, straight and managable. I have really curly hair, and it made my curls straighten, but not PERMANENT, (WHICH IS GOOD!!)

I loved my Chi iron. The lady told me not to wrap the cord around it. She said this would damage the wires and cause it to break in a very short time. I have had mine for a year now and absolutely love it. I never wrap it up. I have the shiniest hair. Also recommend a spray to protect the hair from the heat like Biosilk or something similar. This product is AWESOME.
NO MORE FRIZZY HAIR!!!!

I'm a seventeen year old senior also, and I just started using the CHI flatt iron a few days ago. I would normally spend two hours at night with a normal flat iron, and then another hour re-straightening it in the morning because my hair would get waves up over night. Then my cousin let me borrow her CHI, and I absolutely love it! My hair is normally curly, and incredibly frizzy, like my cousins, but since I started using the CHI flat iron, I have nothing to complain about! She's been using it for years, and it still does wonders for both of us. Also, I work for another cousin as a recptionist at her salon, and she was telling me how many people have raved about it. I can't wait to order one for myself!!!! Thank you so much CHI!!!!

I have had my CHI iron for about 4 years, it still works just like the day i got it. I have never had a problem with it not heating or turning itself off. I can't say enough good things about this iron. I am buying a new one just because mine is so worn looking. But i have litteraly used it daily on mine and my daughters hair for 4 years. YOUR BEST INVESTMENT!!

I've been a hairdresser 7 years. This is the best flat iron ever. For the reviewer who didn't like it, it's probbably because she wrapped the cord around the iron when she was done. DO NOT WRAP THE CORD AROUND THE IRON!!! It makes sorts in the ciurcuts. Plus it even states that in the directions. I had a client that happened to do that and that was her problem. So go ahead and buy it. IT'S WONDERFUL!

I was definatly impressed the first 6 months,but then it started shutting off and flickering. It's not worth the money. You could probably find a better one for a cheaper price.

I purchased the flat iron recently and was I glad of the results! At first I thought it was extremeley expensive but it's worth it! Unlike the curling iron or any other type, this gives you the shine, silkiness on my naturally curly hair! I use it one a week and the result is terrific! I just love it and enjoy using this flat iron. Way to go!

how does "chi" make a SUCH A GOOD STRAIGHTENER!?!!! my hair is thick and wavy/curly-ish and very long. I had a hot tools ceramic iron before, which took me like an hour to straighter my hair, but this literally took me like 10-15! tonight i used it for the first time... i started to time myself at 7:08.. and got done at 7:20!!! wow i wont have 2 wake up as early for school~~~hi nat and ali

omg! my stylist used one on me and i feel in love with it! this is also the best price i have yet to find. at my hair salon they are $200!! YIKES..luckily they are cheaper here! i am now ordering one...you wont be sorry if you get this one. i have a helene of troy and it broke after one year and they dont have a warranty on them so i cant wait till my CHI gets here! you wont be sorry! i have pretty straight hair but when i walk outside it frizzes up but the CHI makes it stay all day! and even into the nxt few days!

The day I used a chi at my friends house i was amazed!!! the results were unbelievable! literraly the day after I begged my mother for one and had been happy ever since! but the reason i had to order a new one at folica is beacause my power was shortaging and my plates popped out and i see alot of people were complaining about that but still I LOVE THIS PRODUCT and HIGHLY recommend it!

I used my friends Chi befor we went out for a night, i have used straightners befor on my extremely curly hair and have had no luck whatsoever, within an hour i am just a frizzy mess. But after using the chi which took all of 15 minutes my hair was wonderfully straight and stayed like that till i washed it a couple days later. the only problem my freind has ever had with her Chi is she brought it to Europ when we went on our class trip and it shorted out, but the life time warranty made sure she got a new one as soon as possible!

I really like the straightener. I really don't have any problem with it except it like shuts on and off while im using it and it makes my hair a little staticy. Other than that my hair has always come out really nice and straight and i like how it heats up faster than alot of other straighteners.

i have thick curly hair .. about 2 inchs thick .. i went to get my hair cut n had this iron there it took about 3 mins after blowing it out n looked amazing .. i have a wigo ceramic iron n i was never able to get the look i got wid this iron even after blowing it out wid the hair dryer it was still frizzy n very thick still .. wid this iron my hair is like 1/10 of what it used to be so i have justed order mine n now waiting!

When i first tried the CHI i was at my friends house and was doubting it because of how small in size it was... but after i tried it i never wanted to use anything else ever again!... before the CHI i was trying everything to make my hair straight (i have wavy frizzy hair).. i used 2 hair straightners and defrizzing and straightening shampoo and conditioner everyday followed many products designed to straighten your hair... and then i would spend at least an hour useing my two flat irons... and still my hair was not perfectly straight and it would frizz and girl from humidity almost immediatly when i walked outside... but now that i own my own CHI.. there is no need for all that work i can simply dry my hair and straighten it in less than 15 minutes!!! the CHI is worth every last penny!

I have owned mine for 2 years and it has worked fine for me. I use it everyday - I have naturally curly hair. I have had the Japanese straightener and use it for touch ups. I just dropped mine for the first time and need to replace it - but other than that it works like charm.
