we have tried many types of flat irons but this one works the best in the shortest amount of time and leaves my daughters hair beautiful, she can finally made it look like she just the hair salon. It is a little more money but worth eveyr penny. the order was filled promptly and the service has been great.
Worth it!

My stylist recommended I purchase this flat iron, but I hesitated due to the price. However, I shopped around and found the best deal on folica.com & it came with a heat-resistant pouch at no additional cost! Bottom line is: if you want the best you have to pay a little extra. It is well worth it.

Well. I have bought my chi about a month ago, love it. But I naturally have Wavyish-Curly Thick Hair. When I straighten it "slowly" it still leaves my hair kind of puffy but completely straight.
But when I go outside, or tuck it for a few minutes behind my ears the ends are already curled!! WHAT A WASTE!
It's only good if your in the house.

I hadn't even had my chi for a year before it stopped working. I think this is the worst investment ever.

I made an appointment at a salon called Aura. I have real big thick curly hair. I recently had it cut into an afro type thing, and let it grow out. Anyways, a really nice woman took the time to wash my hair, blowdry it and straighten it with the Chi.
She said if you have thick curly hair you need to use a round brush when blowdrying right away, taking small sections when drying and straightening.
And you know when you straighten you hair it might look uneven and jagged? Ask your stylist to texturize the ends. But do not get it thinned out. When you wear your hair curly , the hairs that have been thinned will just support the other hairs and make it WAY bigger.
I haven't bought THE CHI yet, but I definitely will.

I bought the hair straigtener over a year ago when I decided to go with the whole "angles and layered" look. My hairstylist used it on me as she styled my hair and that's when I decided I had to buy it. It works wonders, and is perfect to flip my hair in at the ends so you can really see the layers. I don't like when hair is pin strait at the bottom, and this allows me to give it a little extra without the effort.
It is durable as long as you take care of it. I saw the other photo of how damaged it became, and mine looks nothing like it. You really have to mistreat it for it to look bad.
Fabulous straightener... Well worth the money... trust me!

This is the best flat iron Ihave ever owned. I have VERY thick hair that is very straight but it tends to get big after I blow dry it. This is the only flat iron that has worked well for me and after I wore out my first one which lasted a few years I purchased another from this site. It arrived very quickly and I was so pleased with it.

I love this iron! It works great on my thick full hair. I didn't have to wait very long for it to be shipped either. I think the center of pads should be touching instead of having a slight gap. Hair tends to slide through instead of being gripped. But I love the iron!

I bought my Chi a couple of months ago, and I can't get enough of it. I used to have the frizziest hair EVER... we're talking the Caucasion Tina Turner here! Now, instead of getting funny stares, I get compliment after compliment. Granted, it is a little costly... BUT, it is definetly a self-esteem booster. I recommend it to anyone!

my chi was working perfectly at first for about the first 4 months but it started to not heat up as fast and eventually about a year after I bought it it started to only heat up if you have the cord positioned a certain way and when you finally got it to heat up it took about 40 minutes. I would reccommend a different hair straightner. Chi's are way overrated.

I recommend this product to anyone who wants to have beautiful, shiny-looking hair. I have curly hair and the CHI is so easy to use and it leaves my hair looking and feeling so smooth and healthy. I've tried other similar products and after time they start to break my hair, but since I've been using this, my hair looks great!

I have had my CHI for about 6months now and i have to say i am on this website searching for a new flat iron! The CHI works for about the first... 2 weeks.. maybe even a month and then the results become less and less satisfying. I DO NOT reccomend this product. It is highly over priced and doesnt get the job done.

I have the most unruly fuzziest hair of any person I have ever met. To make matters worse.......I live in a very humid state. My youngest daughter introduced me to the Chi last summer when I went to visit her. I assured her that it wouldn't work on my hair, but sat down and she worked with my hair. I couldn't believe it, it took just a few seconds for it to heat up and my whole head of hair was finished in about 10 minutes. I woke up the next day and it was still straight. I got on the airplane and came back to Florida and it was still straight. I knew then that I had to purchase one for myself. Now when I don't straighten my hair with the Chi and go curly or should I say fuzzy everyone thinks I got a perm. I love it. Thank you so much for this incredible invention. I wish I had a photo to share with you.

I have never been so pissed. I spent almost 200 dollars on a chi, and it broke within 2 months! I decided to do the garantee and buy a Sedu, and it was amazing! The same results, except shinier and softer, cheeper and more durable! Trust me, don't get the chi.

Chi has done miracles to my hair. I absolutely love it. It works soo fast and soo well compared to other irons I have used. Everyone should have this iron, it heats up soo fast and the results are fantastic!

Now I have curly, curly, curly hair. I participated in Farouk (Makers of Chi products) show at the Discover show in St. Louis and when you first get that iron it is amazing. Pin straight hair, great edges. Now here is the bad news, when you step outside, or touch your hair too much, it starts frizzing and getting nasty. Any humidity and your done. Also, over time the wires come loose and it will start shutting itself off. Be careful with this product, it can fool you.

One weekend i used my friend's chi and at that moment i saw an amazing difference, and every other straightener i had ever tried was not even comparable. I just ordered my chi after using my friends for the third time... it is the most amazing straightener and makes my hair silky smooth. This picture is of my hair after already sleeping on it in the humid houston weather.
chi is great and would recommend to anyone!

i really debated about buying an iron so expensive, but i took the risk. i first purchased a two inch chi iron, but returned it because it did not get close enough to my roots. i then got the chi iron one inch and have been using it since. i love it! it stays hot and works so well with the biosilk silk therapy. it used to take me almost two hours to straighten my hair, but now it only takes me forty five minutes. i don't even have to go back and restaighten my hair again and again.

SOooo i have semi frizzy hair and i had just let my friends color it. TURNED black, and i'm a natural blond...so u can imagine my shock! Anyways after all the time and fryng used to make my hair back to normal, my hair way completley fried. Every inch of it was horrible! I purshased the CHI straightener and my hair is soft and silky everyday. I kid you not, you wouldn't think its the same hair!! it heats up and cools down so fast i don't have to worry about how long it will take! Its a dream come true, if it can make my hair soft it can make anyones....TRUST me!
