Good....for a bit

When I first discovered the Chi I thought it was absolutely amazing and I've been using Chi flat irons for years. However, after experiencing at least 4 break down for various reasons (temp control broke and fried my hair, plates fell out, on/off switch broke off) and a couple which never worked as well as others to begin with I've decided to give up on this brand. I don't think the company uses very good quality control measures when making their products. I literally had one chi iron that was the most amazing, smoothest feeling flat iron I've ever used and then another one which was horrible, caught my hair and pulled with each stroke and they were the EXACT same model. Clearly there is an issue with quality control when you can get such drastic differences between individual products. I've decided to purchase a Sedu flat iron which I've heard are more durable and are of better quality.
great straightener but doesn't last long!

I've never owned a Chi myself but i have friends that do!
The straightener works GREAT! the only thing is that every Chi that ive know a friend having after about 6months aberage there is a electrical problem and you have to hold the cord just right for it to turn on! Which is a PAIN! and not long after that it stops workin all together!
One friend keeps buying them bc their so good with her hair but the other ones wont buy another one!
So it all depends on if you have the money or not and if its worth it! I personally wont own one but i head the Solia is good so i ordered that! =)

i love my chi ! i have curly hair & it works great! with other straighteners it takes an hour or sometimes more but with this one it take 35 min max ! long story short the chi is AMAZING !

i had my chi, and was never really fond of it, but used it anyways. it's only been a couple of months and it's already broken for no reason. it just will not turn on anymore. there are much better flat irons out there, so take my advice and don't buy a chi!!!

I have very curly, frizzy hair. This product worked great on me. It did not damage my hair and made my hair stay straight for days. However, I have had this product for about one year and already, it's not working. It only turns on when the plates are pressed together tightly, and so now I have to be careful when I want to use the flat iron so it won't turn off.

Before I got the CHI, I had a really bad straightener. My hair is naturally wavy & it would take forever to straighten my hair & it wouldn't even stay straight. The CHI straightened my hair super fast & it made it really straight. It also makes it pretty soft, too. I love it so much, it's the best flat iron I've ever used, by far. The only thing that I didn't really like about it, was that the exterior kind of got hot when it was on. But it's not that bad. I still loooove it. :)

I got my Chi about a month ago and it is awesome.I have thick,frizzy,and wavy hair and it makes my hair SO straight.I had a conair straightener before i got my chi and i will never go back.Plus my chi makes my hair way shinier and it makes it look way healthier.i love it!!!

I have a CHI and I loved it until it broke. This really worked well until it just magically broke one day.I had it for several years before it did. I'm pretty sure because of the swivel cord, the wiring is snapped, which does not make it easy for me to fix. I would not recommend because of the swivel cord.

ok. i already have straight hair but some days(like when i sleep on it still wet)it is wavy and i dont own this but my aunt does and i lve using it! once when i was just testing it out, i tried to do curls and the result was superb! I loved it and now im asking my dad for one(if not i will just ask for the money haha). the curls were just perfet and this boy i liked asked my out and then he said how did i do my hair and he loved it! overall i definatly give it a 5 star. it was greeattttt

i'm 15 and i've had this flat iron since Christmas. I've heard wonderful things about it, so I'd thought I would give it a go. The first time I tried out my Chi, I was amazed. My hair was silky and smooth. My chi was my 4th straightener, and the first 3 fried my hair. You will not regret buying the chi. It will change your life (I know, that sounds corny) I can go outside when it's raining and it will still be smooth and silky. I can also make really pretty curls with it. My hair is thick, but it still turns out great. Buy this flat iron if you haven't!

I like the CHI a lot! My hair came out super straight and has no fizznizess. However, it might be my technique, but my hair comes out a little limp/dead looking. Overall, I am satisfied with you.

Im 13 years old, and i bought the Red Chi Flat Iron four years ago. And it still works amazingly. But im ordering the Pink Chi Flat Iron probably today or tomorrow, because i want a fresh new one.
Chi is the best out there.

okay, i just go my chi flat iron, I LOVE IT. it was my graduation gift, ect. I got the chi silk infusion with it, and the got2b luster lotion, THEY ALL ARE PERFECT. now when i straighten my hair i wont feel like its about to turn into a "half-half" sort of deal. i am alittle concerned that it will break if the wire is bent up AROUND the iron, so i just followed the patterned that the chi flat iron wire was already wrapped in. :)

I don't have this exact CHI but I have a similar one thats just different colored. I think this works quite spendidly but the reason it lost a star is because it doesnt have temp. adjustable switch, it sort of leaves a dent/crimp in your hair if not used correctly, and it doesnt heat up that quickly. But overall its pretty good (:

this is a great straightener it definatly works. i love it and i've never used a starightener that could get your hair more straight. the only problem is how hot it gets which over time damages your hair and drys it out. if only it had a heat setting than maybe it would be the best.

IM PISSED..I BOUGHT MY CHI LESS THAN A YEAR AGO..AND IT FREAKIN JUST NOW BROKE!!!! AND I MADE DAMN SURE I TOOK CARE OF IT BY NOT DROPPING IT..AND IT BROKE ON ITS OWN!!!

i bought my CHI about 2 years ago now and I was so excited because I had always read really good reviews on it. However, the CHI is a little talked up. I have long thick hair that is semi wavy and I used to straighten it alot. The CHI always pulls my hair and it gets way hotter then it needs to in order to do a good job. I would recommend an iron that has heat settings because if your hair isn't super curly then the straighten doesn't need to be that hot...it just damages your hair.
In the long run, It was a bad ide to buy

I was a huge fan of my chi flat irons. Let me tell you, I have purched a new chi every year. I am so sick of my chi breaking. First the plates came out, the second one i droped it one time and it stoped turning on, then the plug part came off. I used to not use a chi and my hair was alot healthier. IF YOU WANT HEALTHY HAIR AND WANT IT TO BE LONGER...dont use the chi, it fried my hair soo bad. I have bad bad split ends now, and it stresses me out. For how much it is, its not worth it in the end. it will either break or get too hot and kill your hair. bad bad chi, im moving on to sedu!
