Not only am i out $112.00 2 day shipping included but i am left with burnt hair i have tryed everything but it has burnt the life out of it. my ends are fried and i only run it throw once...my advice do not buy one i am going to buy a sedu heard only good things about them... unless u have virgin hair dont buy one...~Kelly Cupcake Myspace me fursure. these are pics after i discontinued use...sorry cant spell.

I've had my Chi for over 3 years, I've dropped it numerous times and the covering is cracked but it still works great!! I have super course, thick, curly hair and I can get it stick straight in no time.

normal irons take 2-3 hours on my coarse thick hair
this one only took 30 minutes to and hour depending on the weather

i have never used a straightener that can live my hair like this.. it makes my hair so soft and straight.... sometimes when i feel lazy and i straight my hair still works wonder on me imagine when i do it properly i really recomend u to buy the chi..... it will change the way u feel about ur hair...
This is my second Chi and this one is just as great as the first,

I absolutely LOVE my CHI. Its the only straightener that auctually straightens my hair. Where i'm from we have horrible humidity problems, but when i use my Chi flat iron i don't have to worry, my hair won't frizz or anything. Chi is the only product i would use in my hair.
You get what you pay for!

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. She absolutely loves it! She has thick hair and was using a lesser-quality hair iron. She was always frustrated standing in front of the mirror for several minutes trying to get her old iron to straighten her hair. No that she has CHI, she looks great and is off and running out the door in no time. Thank you Folica.com!

I purchased the CHI about 2 years ago and used to straighten my hair all the time. I have frizzy, wavy/curly hair and it did a good job straightening it, but it made my hair look dull and dead. Once i realized that it was completely killing and frying my hair i started to straighten it less and less. I would always use a protectant before straightening, but it was still horrible. Now, I don't straighten my hair at all and i still have millions of split/dead ends. It's also broken now and rips my hair out. I don't reccomend purchasing this iron. I just ordered the new Sedu but have yet to receive it. I'm hoping that one is a lot better.

i have one of these and ive had it almost two years and it still works fine.
sometimes the light flickers and it doesnt stay hot, which apparently is a problem with the cord, and should be fixed, but i love chis because they never snag my hair and always leave it really smooth. i straighten my hair everyday, and after a really long time its started to get damaged but its slowly improving because im using more products in it. i am obsessed with my hair looking good and i still think that i would be dissatisfied with any other product. im planning on buying a chi nano and if i have any problems with that at all then ill quit buying chis, but until then i'd reccommend them to anyone.

Do not buy the chi only 1 out of 10 people actually get the full results of the chi. While the other 90 percent are stuck out $80 or more. I bought now 3 of them and they never worked. One blew up and almost started a fire and now the others are smoking. It all depends on how the person was feeling that day when they were making it. I think they should take more time with making it because it was right after the 30 days it was the 31 and I couldn't exchange it for money. I suggest to buy the sedu 2008 model because it doesn't blow up because my friend bought it and it works so much better. The chi is a horrible brand do not buy it or you won't have any money left to buy the sedu. So buy the sedu its way better. Chi is a cheap brand that only cares about how much money they have in the bank. BUY SOMETHING ELSE THE SEDU OR EVEN THE SOLIA! Also the chi fried my hair it looks like I am 1000 years old because my hair has white at the bottom of them and I had black hair so it stands out. And the split ends are annoying they stick out and split into like 90 hairs. So don't make the same 3 mistakes I did buy the sedu!

DON'T GET IT THE CHI IS HORRIBLE, MY HAIR IS NATURALLY A LITTLE WAVY, AND I STRAIGHTENED IT FOR LIKE HALF AN HOUR AND MY HAIR FRIED. IT IS LITERALLY WHITE LIKE SNOW ON MY ENDS. DON'T BUY IT! THIS IS WHAT MY HAIR LOOKED LIKE IN HALF AN HOUR!

I just bought my Chi and I love it. Not only does it get my hair straighter than my previous store bought one, but it takes less time to do so. It was worth the money and it works great with Bumble & Bumble Defrizz.

I was using a cheap wal-mart brand to straighten my hair, but than I started using the chi.. I love it. Also my hair is wavy so it does an excellent job.

CHI irons are being recalled due to fire hazards. Not only that, but they don't last long. My friend had to return hers in a month because it stopped working. Don't waste your money on a CHI. I recommend Sedu. Sedu lasts long and makes your hair silky and shiny.

The first picture is me with Nicholous Cage after we did a movie together, as you can see, I didn't have a Chi hair straightener then.This other picture is my husband and I and I have a Chi hair straightener.I am so impressed with my Chi. My hair is perfect and shiny,it may not be that way in the picture but it feels that way!

The Chi Iron Regular is a great Iron.
But I think I choose for the iron turbo, I think the heat of the iron regular is too hot for my hair.
With a litle bit of silk therapy from biosilk, you have a great result!

The pictures are of me with spiral curls I made with the Chi.. and straight hair using the Chi. I've had my Chi flat iron for a little over 5 years and it worked perfectly up until about January of last year. That's when the light started flickering when I would move the cord. After about 4 months of this it finally stopped working. I know that's a common problem that people have experienced...BUT... it took 4 years for that to happen to my Chi. I found a website that repairs Chi flat irons. It's called Salonart.biz. If you are still under warranty they do warranty repairs for $10. (That's the shipping and handling cost) If it's not under warranty anymore then it's a flat rate of $30 for repairs plus shipping costs. I sent my Chi through the mail to them and it was returned to me within 5 days with a brand new cord. I think the shipping was about $15 if I remember correctly (I live in Hawaii..so shipping is a little more for me than if you live on the mainland). I believe anyone on the mainland U.S. is about $8 for shipping. So $38-$50 (maybe less for mainlanders) isn't a bad deal for the speedy service you get. Better than paying for a new flat iron.
I love my Chi! I should make a comission off of the number of Chi's I've gotten people to buy over the years. And I can't think of anyone who hasn't been happy with their purchase.

I love this straightner! It works the best on my thick curly hair. It works fast and has the perfect heat setting, people have said they have problems. If mine were to break I would def have to buy another one. It makes my hair so flat, straight, and very smooth. I love to run my hands through it.
Look at these pictures. TOTAL difference!
For the price, it should last!

I bought the CHI straightner for my daughter for Christmas. It worked incredible, the only problem is that six months later, it kept shuting off. As I read the other reviews I see so, so, so many people with the same problem. The straightner shorts out. I wiggled the cord right where the base meets the iron, that's where the problem is. I bent it over and used duck tape to hold it so it won't move. I just feel for the money you spend and the fact that this seems to be a very common problem, they should be able to fix it. Not to easy to get in touch with the warranty Service eithter!!
