My first Chi was a hand me down from my sister because the cord was broken. My dad ordered a new cord and fixed it and the Chi worked like a dream for about 5 more years until the ceramic plate came loose and started pulling my hair. I bought a new Chi in December 2007 and it too works like a dream so far, heats up hot and straightens my sometimes frizzy naturally wavy hair great! The service from Folica.com was super, and I received my Chi within only a couple of business days! I will definitely shop here again!

I received the 1" Chi Flat iron as a Christmas present from my husband and I love it. It is the best flat iron I have ever used and believe me I have wasted my money on several others. I recommend buying it over any other brand. It saves you so much time.

This product does not have a temp. setting so be careful cause it will fry your hair.

After hearing so many good things about Chi and only ever owning cheap stuff, I went out on a limb and bought this one. It is sooo much better than your average Target-type straightener. It gets very hot, straightens very well, and as described many many customers, it can also curl your hair which is amazing. My only thing is that I was expecting my hair to look very sleek and smooth. Although, that may have to do more with the hair products I use rather than the Chi straightener. Anyway, it's a good deal and no regrets!

I bought this for my daughter although I had reservations whether it would be substantially better than the cheaper models of flat irons. She loves it and it does make quite a difference in the softness and sheen of her hair. I am trying to have her be careful in how she handles the cord as so many other reviewers complained about the cord getting damaged. So far, so good.
This is the less expensive model of the Chi's but my hair stylist told me the other "bells and whistles" are not important. Having seen how this works, I tend to agree.

My bff has this straightener.
It is supposed to curl your hair too.
But..
IT DOESN'T WORK!
When we try to curl it by wrapping it around,
It just goes wavy.
And we have to straighten it after.
Her hair is normally pretty straight,
But not that straight.
I wouldn't recommend this product.

This is the best straightner we've tried. It doesn't damage the hair, even with frequent use. The heated end of the handle does get hot on the outside, but not dangerous. I would recommend this procduct and the quick delivery service of Folica to my friends.

I liked the ease of use of this iron as well as the portability. It is a very small lightweight iron that pecks a lot power. I would reccommend this for anyone that wants a good flat iron for a reasonable price. Although I would not reccommend it for anyone with extremely curly hair or dried and damaged hair, it is fairly adaptable to all other hair types. It heats quickly. I would buy it again.

My daughter has very curly hair and likes to straighten it sometimes, it never really looked good when she would straighten it but now with the CHI flat iron it looks really great!! Her hair looks silky smooth and when she wear it curly she still uses the CHI to smooth out some of the fly away culs so now her curls look nice with out all those little frizzies sticking out.

I have went on many websites including Folica & Ebay , and have gone to many stores including Trade Secrets and The Cut Above. Every store I have gone to says, "If you get the CHI, you will have silky, smooth, straight hair." But that's if you get a good one. I was told that there are sometimes "badly made" CHIs......I don't know , a bug or something strange in them. Which can make them only last for 2 - 4 months. You would never know which one in the store is "good" or "bad" . You could be spending $200.00 on a bad CHI. Personally, I would go with the "Babyliss" or the "Metropolis" . They are 2 very good flat irons. I own both of them . So if I were you, I wouldn't even buy the CHI. I would buy the ones I had stated earlier. The ones I have go from $100.00 - $200.00 . I hope that helped.

Yes people it is the REAL CHI! It works better than any other straightener I have used and it is at HALF the cost here on Folica!
