this flat iron is the best I have ever used,is good for all hair texture and it leave my hair super shiny and soft. It takes me a shorter amount of time to do my hair and it looks better than the salon.I really don't know how I lived without it for so long.

I absolutely loveee my Chi!
If your mixed and have difficult to straighten, crazy thick, curly hair, your best bet is buying this iron!
I'm not sure how well it would work on fine or thin hair though, bc it probably gets a little too hot for that type of hair:/
But all my multiracial girls that have similar hair to me, the Chi iron is for you! It's totally worth the price and though other irons may get hotter, Chi iron's quality gets hair straighter on a lower temperature... which SAVES your hair!
This is actually a great price, I would take advantage of the deal and get it:)
Its Okay after a while

My mom brought this for me and when i first used it i hated it, because it wouldnt straighten out the curls i had. It took a while to adjust to it. When i washed my hair and let it air dry it worked perfectly fine. i love my chi. loveeeeee it.

I had two Chi flat irons for 4 years. One that is the half inch and the other that is an inch. Until recently someone stole my 1" flat iron. I thought I was gonna die!!!!!! I just ordered one yesterday. Thank God I found it for a much cheaper price than what I originally paid. I strongly recommend this to EVERYONE!!! My hair is soooo thick and curly/wavy. This straightens it to the T...

So, I have the worst curly, wavy, thick and not to mention BIG hair. Its a nightmare. Truly! When I straightened my hair (special occasions=time to waste=75mins) it looked like straw! I was using the Andis 1" Ceramic Flat Iron that was like $16.00 @ Wal-mart so that tells you something. Anyways, both ways looked bad! When its curly I look like a little baby! BLeeh. After dealing with this for a year I finally decided to invest in The Great Chi. haa haa. By babysitting! The first time I used it I was absolutely AMazed! My hair looked awesome! Plus, I used the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. that helped a lot as well. You should get this if you want your hair SKINNY and Straight while looking healthy, not fried! ewwww! hope this helps! Peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chi is by far the best straightener that I have ever used. In the end, I chose Chi over Solia only because I have used Chi in the past and I trust it to do exactly what I need it to do. I can both curl and straighten my hair with the Chi. It heats up in seconds flat, and will stay very hot. I dont mind it only having one heat setting. My hair is very thin, but this straightener still does not damage my hair. It leaves it feeling soft and shiny.
My hair before and after the CHI!!

Maybe some people are not as lucky but the Chi I have and have had for almost 5 years, works great. I also use the Chi heat protector and my hair always turns out soft after straightening it. Humidity does not even have a chance [= I don't know about you but the Chi works for me.!
AMAZING!!

Well, i finally got my chi, and i must say it has worked a wonder on my hair. I had gotten some off brand wanna be chi, but it fell apart, i believe it was the hot tools something of the other, which i wrote a review and put pictures in, and i gave it good ratings cuz it did do the best out of the flat irons i had, but the CHI Kicks its butt by far!!!! Now my hair is all flowy, and i dont even have a relaxer in..YAy ME!!
LOVE it!

The CHI is the hands down must have flat iron. Didn't burn my hair or give me split ends. and my hair looked great and shiny with no oils or serums.

I love the Chi. It works perfectly. It took me awhile to learn how to straighten hair correctly, but now I can get it stick straight and super shiny quickly! I always use the Chi thermal protection spray first so the Chi doesn't damage my hair. It heats up really quickly. The only thing is be careful touching your hair while you're straightening because you can burn your hair.
Pretty good.

well after reading the reviews i was pretty hesistant to get a CHI, but now that i have one i love it.
i live where the humidity is super high and for the most part my hair stays straight. It doesnt dull out my hair like cheaper straighteners have, and honestly it works better for me than the Sedu (i have one).
The only complaint i have is that it snags on my hair, and there are always a few strands ripped out. I also have heard of it breaking really easily so im always very delicate with mine.
I love my CHI!

I love my CHI! It works wonders on my hair... I will never go anywhere without it. Great product! The prices on this website or as low as you will find them promise... I have looked at other places and at one particular salon they were charging $110.00 more for the same thing here!
awesome! but can damage your hair

i used to have a $25 flat iron from target and i used it for about a year and my hair is not too fried... my aunt had this flat iron and shes had it for about two years and it was working VERY VERY well but recently the flat iron would turn on and off and you would have to turn the cord at thr right place for it to stay on. its kind of a pain but it still works when the cord is in the right place.
i was saving up for the blue and black tourmaline ceramic flat iron but my aunt sent her CHI one to me so i dont need the blue one anymore....
The best strightener EVER!!!

This has got to be the best straightener I've ever used in my entire life! I tried the T3 straightener which absolutely fried my hair and did not even straighten it. Then I got the Chi and I fell in love with it. It's all I'm going to be using from now on. Of coarse, like any straightener, overusing it will damage your hair, and there is not way to get around that. But, you can use products to help with that, such as heat protector and my personal favorite, the Redken EXTREME collection, which repairs damaged hair. The Chi gets the job done, and in minimal time to. I'm guessing it takes me about 15 minutes, 20 minutes most? Where with my old Corioliss it took nearly an hour. I love it and would recommend it to anybody!
Don't know what the fuss is. I love my CHI uron

I've had my CHI flat iron for about 6 years. I haven't had a single problem with it til today. One of the plates came lose but is fixable with a high heat epoxy. I feel I got my money's worth with this item. I have no complaints. The claims about it frying hair haven't been my experience at all. Any iron at any temp can fry your hair if not used properly. It depends on the user. That fact that this one is ceramic makes it awfully hard to actually fry your ends unless too big of a section of hair is being done over and over again and the iron is left in for too long. Any stylist will tell you to straighten small sections layer by layer for best results. If you keep any ceramic iron in your hair for too long it will cause damage. I have very wavy, coarse hair and have had no problems getting shiny straight split-end FREE locks. I am naturally dark blonde and have platinum highlights and this hasn't been an issue either. This is a great iron at a great price. When mine finally dies, I'll most likely purchase another CHI. 1st pic is from 6 years ago. My CHI worked great then. 2nd pic is from winter 07... My CHI still works great. I have chin length hair now and it's still straitening with out damaging.
love it

I bought my chi 3 months ago. Great flat iron but it is too hot for blonde colored hair. My hair is not damanaged from bleaching but from the flat iron. My ends break off when strightening. Great for brunettes but not colored blondes.
