They were very speedy w/the delivery of my iron. It takes a long time to straighten my hair. It works and i have really thick, curly hair.

I bought this for my wife after she didn't like the generic one at Sally's. She used it one time. The next time she tried the thing it wouldn't even come on. It's not worth the inflated price. You should expect professional grade for that price.

Product Rating: 5 Small, but Oh My!
Reviewer: A O'Connell from Van Nuys, CA  Fri Mar 03 2006

This little flat iron rocks! Heats up fast and gets smokin' hot. Lightweight and easy to use. Most important though, is the result--my long, thick, chemically-straightened hair is transformed in a few minutes to hair I never thought I'd have. It is shiny, flat, and youthful.

Product Rating: 5 Great Flat Iron!
Reviewer: NYCGirl from NYC  Fri Mar 03 2006

One, two, three and I'm done. Literally the best flat iron I have ever owned. I have long below bra strap hair and with this I am done in 5-10 mins without blow-drying my hair first. No frizz, no burnt hair smell. Just shiny and straight lovely locks. Very happy I finally upgraded to the CHI.

Product Rating: 5 Throw other flat irons out!
Reviewer: OUA from Minneapolis, MN  Mon Feb 06 2006

I've lived with frizz most of my life and have tried other flat irons. At my hairdresser's suggestion I bought the CHI. I am happy to say, frizz is now a thing of the past for me. I also saw this product work on a friend's hair who lives in Atlanta (high humidity year-round) and it works brilliantly with her hair as well. Highly recommend to anyone for whom simply "blowing it straight with a round brush" is not enough!

Product Rating: 5 An excellent investment. THE best!
Reviewer: Melissa from Ohio  Fri Jan 06 2006

I don't know how I ever managed without this! I already had a Chi 2" since I have very long, wavy thick hair. I use the 7/8" for bangs & the hair around my face. I can get close to my scalp with it.

It's worth every penny!

Product Rating: 4 this is worth spending the money on
Reviewer: tracey from bermuda  Fri Jan 06 2006

my teenage daughter has had three 'cheap' hot irons and always complained that they don't work well enough. a friend suggested the chi hair straightener but when i saw how much it was i'll be honest, i was a little skeptical about spending that much on something that i wasn't sure about. anyway i bought it for her for christmas and she loves it! no complaints, lots of smiles, in fact she does my hair for me too and it really is worth spending the extra money on.

When I first started using the CHI I loved it. Then, it started to not get as hot as used to, and finally the chord got all messed up and i have to put it in a certain position for it to work. It takes me forever to straighten my hair now because I have to wait for it to reheat, use it, put the chord back in the right position, etc. My boyfriend took it apart to see if he could fix it (he's great at building electronic things) and he thought it was made rather cheaply. He said the only good thing about it was the ceramic plates. After taking it all apart, we figured it was a malfuction in the chord. I've found out that many other people's CHI have done the same thing after a while. I think all the good review were from people who have only had it for a short time, because I thought all the same wonderful things too. I'm not saying all are crappy and will break because my sister has had the same one for about 5 years and it still works great.

This is an awesome straightner and i have had nothing but good luck from it! Lots of my friends have had their chi's for YEARS and nothing has happend-personally the people whos blew up or broke must have dropped it or something because out of my many friends they all have been wonderfull! GET THE CHI!

This is the second Chi flat iron I have purchased from Folica. The first was for my daughter and I was so impressed that I bought another one for myself. The shipping was very fast! I ordered on a Tuesday evening and received from UPS on Thursday. Just two days!! Great business to purchase from.

Product Rating: 5 Great Product
Reviewer: Ilene   Wed Nov 09 2005

This is exactly what i was looking for...this works great on shorter hair to achieve a spiky look. A key feature found on this flat iron is the temperature control…it allows people with fine hair to reduce the heat therefore reducing your risk of burning your hair. It heats up in a matter of seconds. I love it and would recommend it for anyone looking for this size.

Product Rating: 2 Not up to my expectations
Reviewer: Rossana from Miami, Florida  Wed Nov 02 2005

I have a cheap flat iron which I used after I blowed dried my hair for extra smoothness. I bought the Chi Turbo yesterday and used it as soon as I washed my hair. I dried it but did not style it since I thought by having such a great flat iron there was no need for it. I had to take each section of hair at least 3 times for it to be straighten, and at the end, my hair looked flat, as if it were kinky and had been ironed. My hair is naturally wavy and curly. It had no shape and looked as flat as ever.

Product Rating: 2 Don't get the mini chi
Reviewer: Nat from Houston, TX  Mon Oct 31 2005

My assistant accidentally ordered the "mini CHI" for me. It did not work well at all. My old CHI broke (after 4 years) b/c I dropped it. The mini was so bad that I turned around and ordered a brand new (old model) CHI. The old model, black Chi is a life saver. I love it. There is nothing like it. I have naturally wavy hair and it straigtens it like a board. The mini had very small blades and did not work very well. I highly recommend the CHI but not the mini.

I have extreemly curly hair and everyone that I see thinks that my new straight hair is natural. My hair looks wonderful when I'm done straightening it. It only takes 10 minutes to straighten my unbelivable thick, curly hair, while with my old straightener it would take 45 minutes and it wouldn't stay straight. If you are looking for a straightener, buy this one!

i don't know why these other people are complaining.
i've had my chi straightener for more than a year and it works great. my hair hasn't dried out and its as healthy as ever. plus the straightener heats up in like 5 seconds and it straightens my hair in 15 mins. considering my hair is really thick and wavy. i defintely recommend it.

Product Rating: 1 Not such a good product
Reviewer: Ashley from Houston, Texas  Sat Aug 20 2005

I have long and wavy hair. Not only that but my hair is very frizzy. It the worst kind of hair. I borrowed it from my cousin. It worked horribly. I was so unsatisfied with the product. It is not worth the price. My flat iron i bought off a informercial works much better but not the best i want. I plan to get a sedu once i save up enough money. Word to the wise think before you buy i recommend the sedu.

Product Rating: 2 Don't Believe the Hype!!
Reviewer: Shelly T. from New Mexico  Thu Aug 18 2005

I purchased the CHI because of the name brand. I read all of the reviews on all of them, but decided to go with the name brand. Big mistake...... First use it did not get hot enough to straighten my very curly hair. Luckily Folica has the 30 day exchange policy, I sent it back and got the Sedu, wow what a difference. Now that was money well spent. I believe that the CHI really does work, but you take your chances, it seems the quality is inconsistent. Belive the reviews you are reading, I should have.

I have had my chi for almost two years and i have never had any problems with it i have curly hair and i can straighten it in under ten minutes and it stays straight for days. my only complaint is that it dries my hair out a lot

Product Rating: 1 HORRIFIC
Reviewer: Gina from chicago il  Mon Jun 20 2005

just purchased my second chi like a dummy two weeks ago. at first i had the original ceramic iron and it stopped working...JUST LIKE THAT. i then bought the CHI turbo and after just two weeks its falling about. when its working it really is a decent iron but i have a feeling the makers realize that and because of desperation to find a decent iron out their they believe idiots like myself will just by another one like it isnt common how they fall apart. its cheap to make ladies (and getns) and ill be damned if i pay this much for another CHI. just so everyone knows Solia is suppose to be pretty amazing, have not read a single of 800 reviews saying it fell apart!
