I thought it would work really good. I followed the directions and as soon as I use it with my flat iron, my hair is dry and brittle almost like it does the opposite. I'm going to try using it while I blow dry my hair and see how that works.

When I first bought this product I didnt like it because it left my hair hard and brittle. But I started using it when I blow dry my hair and it worked great, when used with the silk infusion before flat ironing it was amazing.

I got this product with my pink chi and the silk infusion a few months ago. I thought this product would work much better than it does. It smells nice, but it's super sticky and it makes my hair feel kind of brittle. also, none of the products, even when used together have been able to stand up to the texas humidity for more than 5 minutes when it's really humid outside. The bottom line is, i'm using it now because I think it works better than using nothing, but I definately wouldn't waste my money again

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't really like this product. I read the reviews when I bought it and thought it would be a good product for protection (and it may be) but it made my hair feel like I had used hairspray in it. I didn't use too much and it made my hair feel kinda crispy. While shampooing it out it felt like I was washing out heavy hairspray from an updo or something. I like for my hair to feel soft and natural and this product did not give me that at all.

This product did an okay job of protecting my hair, but it made it look a little greasy. I'm not sure why other people are saying it made their hair sticky, because it doesn't. It's just kind of a dissapointment, being a Chi product.

I agree with some of the other reviewers... This product, when used with my CHI Straightener, left my hair very sticky feeling. It acted more like hair gel that is used to hold hair in place than a thermal protection spray.
After a few uses, I discarded the bottle and won't be using it again. I love silky, free-flowing hair and this made my hair the opposite.

This product is very sticky!!! When I use my flat iron with this it makes my hair feel brittle and dry. I didn't use much. I like the silk infusion much better. The only useful way to use this is to maybe put it on the ends if you want to flip them out, but makes you ends look fried.

I was not happy with this product it makes my hair sticky and not flow nicely. I have actually been flat ironing my hair with no heat protectant at all now because I dont know a good one yet:(

i think this product has protected my hair from breaking and damage when i used it with my chi straitener...my hair is very thick and it never made it as soft as i would have liked...but the protection is the most important thing...i would buy it again!

"Chi Iron Guard" is an essential component in my haircare arsenal. This core product is now a permanent structure in my bathroom. Although the name is "Iron Guard", I've found it to be a superior overall heat protectant for ALL heat tools, including: blowdryers, hot rollers, hot air brushes, etc. In addition,it smells great and gives a delightful textureto the hair even without heat. A must for anyone who uses heat tools. Superior product!

This is a terrific product in the Chi line of hair care. My hair is colored and permed and I use it with a curling iron or flat iron. The results have been soft sleek hair without stickiness or flaking. Excellent product.
