It's not bad

This product isn't too bad. It does have a men's cologne smell, but I can live with that. I do like the fact that it is used on dry hair, not on wet hair before blow drying. I let my naturally wavy hair air dry before I flat iron it. It does give it an almost "fake straight" look as one other reviewer said. It was not sticky as other reviewers have said, and I have medium textured wavy hair. I have used another product by Alfaparf called Seduction Pure Veil which is just as good and is the same price as the Chi. It smells more feminine too. I would buy this product again, I'm still on a quest for the perfect thermal protectant out there!

I was so excited to get this product and couldn't wait to use it. I was disappointed in the product. It made my hands stick and left a residue on my flat iron. This product was like using Redkens Hot Sets....
its alright

When I first used this product it worked good but was time consuming since I had to spray each small section, but I soon switched to Redken's Smooth down heat glide, which works amazing. But recently I wanted to switch things up so I sprayed a small section of hair with this and it was horrible! My whole section of hair was stuck together and it was sticky. I would save your money and buy the Redken heat glide, it works much better. Don't buy into the Chi 'hype', I did and honestly it was a waste of money.
I love this stuff

I was introduced to this product at a very reputable salo and have been using for several months. I have naturally curly hair blonde highlighted that I straighten daily. This product has really protected my hair from the dry Arizona summer. The smell is awesome and does not reak of blueberry bubble gum or some other awful overpowering "teenage scented" fruit. It totally does NOT smell like I showered in old man's cologne (like a prior poster said)...I use together with Chi Silk Infusion to get very soft hair that is protected from the heat and I smell awesome!
How could people be complaining?

I really don't understand how people could say this makes their hair sticky or greasy? I have EXTREMELY soft hair so most hair products make my hair really greasy. I separated my hair into about three layers and sprayed it a couple times with my arm extended and let each layer dry. The second I started ironing it I noticed a HUGE difference. My hair is so soft that ironing it usually doesn't do much but this product allowed me to actually achieve a straight look. People are complaining about greasiness & hardness. It doesn't take a genius to realize you're obviously using too much. I would highly recommend this product and if you're finding it's too greasy, try less - duh. I also like to spray some on my hands and smooth it through my hair. My tip: avoid the part and bangs if you're afraid of a greasy look. Also, some were complaining of a "cheap mens' cologne" smell. I completely disagree. I think it smells like you just came out of a salon.

I didnt like the CHI flat iron guard spray...when you spray it on your hair and then go over it it kinda crunches up your hair and you have to go over it like 30 times to get it out...I dont care for the spray at all. However, after I use it up I might go with another brand but still with the iron guard spray.
pretty nice

This seems to help my hair but I don't see the "wow" difference that I see with the Chi Silk Infusion.

This product works nice but as someone mentioned in a previous review (when I was searching for a product to use like this), they said it smelt like man's cologne! They are right!! Let me add that it smells like a man's cheap cologne that they doused their body in before heading out on the town. YUCK! C'mon CHI, come up with something that smells prettier please! Otherwise, market this as a man's product.
Pretty good

Seems to keep hair straighter longer than Sedu, but with the humidity here, nothing works!

I was hyped at first, but after using the product it all changed. The product made my hair feel a little hard and stiff. I'm not really sure if it protected my hair or not from the heat.
Best protection ever (if you know how to use it)

I work at a hair salon and this is what all the hairdressers use. I bought it for myself and love it. The protection on it is amazing. If you want to test it, try spraying some on your arm and then passing the blowdryer on it. You will feel the sections that were sprayed and the ones that weren't. It's not true that it makes your hair sticky-- this is only the case if you layer it like crazy! The best way is to spray a couple of shots all over while it is still wet (after removing excess water with a towel). I also like to spray some directly in my hands and then rub the liquid on the ends of my hair for extra protection. Overall, excellent product.

Makes your hair feel gross and gunky. My hair felt like it had too much build-up and it felt the opposite of smooth (not exactly sticky, but it takes the smoothness out of your hair).
I have fine hair, and my best friend with extremely curly hair doesn't like this much either. Maybe if you have really coarse hair it'd work for you, but neither of us like it. At least it protects your hair.
One of my Favorites!!!!!!!!

It protects my hair without making it sticky or crunchy. I've also tried Matrix's Iron Smoother (or whatever it's called), and this stuff is much better!
disapointed to the max.

So I got this when I bought my CHI flat iron. And i decided to give it a try. I followed the directions on the bottle and i parted my hair a sprayed each section. and when i flat ironed my hair. it all stuck together like hair spray. I will never get this product again.
Amazing!

I have very thin hair that I get colored every month so to say the least, it is pretty damaged. I love this product. After styling with the CHI flat iron and the iron gaurd my hair is extremely soft and shiny. The only negative I can think of is it kind of has a men's cologne smell.
