Braun cordless curling iron product review

I bought this product for traveling on a small sailboat where there is no electricity.
The iron heats up quickly. It curls the hair well. You don't have to worry about leaving a hot iron around after use because of its heat-proof cover. It comes in very handy when nothing else is available.
The only thing I would like to see is a larger diameter barrel (like 1" or 1 1/2").
I think this is a wonderful product.

this item works even better than the previous model this company (Braun)put some years ago. It got hot faster and I was glad that I could use the same type of energy cells as the previous model which is no longer on the market.

I have used this product over 20 years and still love it. My cordless has been around the world with me several times. It has been the best investment I have made.

I must say that the only complaint I had about this item was the handle. It seems to be a bit awkward to use compared to a regular plug type iron. However, I often spend time at a ranch with no electricity, and for my needs it works just fine. It heats up quickly, and seems to be hot enough to curl my very fine hair sufficiently.

I have used the Braun Cordless Curling Iron for the past 14 years with no problem. It heats up fast and curls my thick short hair. On the average I only needed to replace it every two years. I have bought several for grandkids and friends because I loved it so much. This recent one however seems not to heat up enough and I have to hold it on the hair much longer for it to curl at all. Average is the best I can say about this one and that's stretching it. The older irons were much better.
The new style Cordless Styler is not as easy to use as the old model

The Cordless Styler is a replacement for a much older version Braun Cordless Styler that will no longer ignite. I used the styler for two weeks in Italy. I found the chunkier handle harder to manipulate. (this also makes the product bulkier to pack) I was always grabbing the wrong side of the iron and had to stop to rotate it. The old handle was much slimmer. I felt the hair clamp did not lift up high enough to get all the hair in. I also liked on the old version the window where I could see how much butane I had left in the cartridge. The window at the bottom is of no help. The quick heating was great.

I made this purchase to take on my cruise and it didn't work very well. I was very disappointed when I couldn't get my hair smooth. I ended up putting gel in my hair to wear it with a wave. Not happy at all. I'm going to try to get my money back.

What a great hair curler. I had one from 1990 that used the butane and thought it was all over when I couldn't find them in the store. I searched by the name Braun and found this website and the new style. It's heats up nice and fast and makes me happy to have long hair again. Very easy to use and the butane cartridges are easy to find also.

I had a braun cordless for years and loved it. I haven't been able to find a replacement locally and tried another brand which is light weight and the teeth don't capture hair the way the braun model does. The braun lasted about 10 years and then the plastic on the teeth started to wear out and break off - but it's handy to have in the car. You can get it hot and make your style at traffic lights.

This is my second Braun cordless. The first one purchased in 1990 was lost.
Quick to light, keeps steady heat and portable!
I use this for those rainy days - when my straight, thin hair can't make it through the day.
I keep my Braun in my briefcase, the protective cover is a plus.
For Natural Curl

I have very curly hair (natural) and this cordless curling iron is wonderful! It is a bit bigger around and works on my hair so well, I don't know what I would do without it. I now have a choice ,wearing curls or having more body. It is worth every penny!

The Braun steam curling iron makes my hair shiny and gives it more natural looking body & waves that last longer than with any other curling iron I have ever had (and I'm not a kid). It is much better for my hair than dry heat. Sometimes my hair looks dry & frizzy from a recent body perm or color treating and a touch-up with the Braun steam curling iron makes it look smooth and shiney again.
I wish Braun would make a corded version. I have taken mine on many trips. The only thing I do not like about it is that I wear out this curling iron within 6 months or so because I use it every day so I have to keep replacing it and can find them only online. If Braun ever stops making this, I won't know how to fix my hair! I highly recommend this product. It does an excellent job. TIPS: (1) Always use distilled water in it. (2) When it seems like it doesn't want to start up: Shake it down a little, give it few more seconds and then tap the end of the handle a few times before trying to push the trigger again.

I have a similar one from Braun that I purchased about 6-7 years ago. It doesn't seem to get as hot as my old one. It still does a good job. It is very easy to handle. I do wish that they had a 1 inch barrel size. It will be very convenient for my trip to Europe.

I use this product everytime I'm on the go. It fits perfectly in my car and is easy to use. Heats up quickly and curls last for a while.

I have been using the Braun butane cordless curling iron for 11 years and just love it. I've ordered one for all my friends and family. When everyone else on vacation is plugged up to electricity to use theirs I can curl my hair anywhere. I use mine everyday at home as well. It heats immediately unlike other irons and curls even the thickest of hair. I have only had to replace mine three times in all these years.

I have used cordless irons for many years as we travel a great deal. This iron had such promise, easy to handle, large barrel, etc. But it only lasted two weeks!!! Bummer!
