I admit I was a bit sceptical about this iron. My hair is really thick and long, and to be honest I doubted this iron would curl it at all. In fact it's so hard to curl my hair that I've had to invest in professional curling irons. I'm going on a trip and voltage is going to be an issue, so I thought I would pick up one of the cordless irons. Not only did the iron curl really well, it also straightened (not the intended use, but it works). I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The cartridges are easy to find in my area as well.

Travel the world, enjoy the ease of this product. So convenient to use, your hair will hold the curl better than when curled with so many other irons.......... plus no cord to tangle with. After using an iron like this for over 10 years this is still the best . Folica is an outstanding company.

I got this as a gift and tried it out, forst as a straightening iron (not the labeld use I know, but it worked really well), and then to put curls in my hair. I LOVE IT! I've always had problems curling my hair, but this is really easy!

I have long hair, and can never get it curled, and if I tried the curl would only last for so long, When I tried the Braun it was so amazing, I love doing my hair now, and it doesn't take that long either cause the iron heats ups so hot, that it just takes seconds for the curl to form, so your not sitting there for hours in the mirror. Would recommend this Iron to everyone, it's a great product. LOVE IT

I just got off of the phone with Folica.com costumer service. I was on hold for almost one hour before I could even talk to a costumer service representative! I ordered this curling iron from them on a Monday. I called in and placed the order personally so that I could talk to an actual person about shipping options. I needed the curling iron by Saturday because I am leaving town Sunday. To make a long story short, the curling iron never came. I called them on Friday (today) to see where the curling iron could possibly be and they told me my order had been cancelled. They claimed that they had sent me an email on Tuesday explaining that the curling iron could not be sent priority like I had asked because it was a haz-mat item and needed to go ground. I never received that email. Because I did not respond to the email I never received, they automatically cancelled the order. So, I was expecting a curling iron in the mail any day and the order had been cancelled without me even knowing. I don't understand why the person I talked to on the phone Monday could not explain that they couldn't ship it in two days and LET ME PAY FOR TWO DAY SHIPPING! I understand that this curling iron is actually a great product, but I will never deal with folica.com again.

I am currently in Afghanistan and the electrical outlet is 220V and my electric curler irons would get very hot (didn't have a transformer). I decided to purchase a cordless curling iron (less stress on my hair). I used a cordless curling iron when I was in high school, so I am familiar with them. I love that fact that this curling iron heats up quickly but once I am finished I can just put the cover (hard plastic) over it and not worry about a fire hazard. This product is great. One warning, this product doesn't work well if you have coarse or thick hair. Only because it is just too much work. I noticed this when my friend borrowed it but it works great for me. This product has my stamp of approval.

i like the styler very much however after a while i find it difficult to ignite have returned it to boots twice for replacement but the same problem after awhile bad to ignite

This is by far the best curling iron...and only curling iron I use. I have been using Braun's cordless curling irons for years. The style changes - but the product is great. The only downside is that they do stop working after a while. I have a box of old ones that don't work and cannot be fixed...but that is why I buy several at a time. It stays hot and the best part is that you can move around while doing your hair. Great for travel.

I'm very pleased with the curler. As an extra bonis, I discovered it works just as well when used as a flat iron so you can curl or straighten with it. However, customers should be warned that it gets VERY hot. My only dissatisfaction is that there is no heat control. However, I go camping and electricity is unavailable. Having an appliance that doesn't rely on being plugged in is an amazing convenience. If someone buys this product they should be warned not to use the curling iron every day and to be careful not to keep the curler in your hair for more than a couple of second.

I ordered this curling iron just mostly out of curosity, I was very much surprised at the ease of use. It heats up very quickly and is easy to use. The only thing I am having trouble with is the fact that the curl falls out easily. I really think it is my hair because it has been always stubborn to curl. I usually use hot rollers and it lasts longer, but this is great to pick up for a quick job.

Styling my hair has been a problem for me for a long time. First of all, I have very long hair and styling products are sometimes hard to use. Secondly, my old house does not have an electrical outlet in the bathroom, and thirdly, I'm a camper and often away from power sources.
The Braun Cordless answers all the problems. I've been very pleased. It curls, and (surprise!) it also straghtens. It ignites readily, heats up quickly and the plastic shield protects my travel kit it nicely until it cools down; it doesn't seem to go through energy cells too fast and it's very easy to use.
One word of caution--the tip of the Braun is very small. If you, like me, are a two handed styler, there's the risk of burning your fingers. However, reasonable care can avoid this.
My only critisim of the appliance is that it gets VERY hot and doesn't have a lower setting. This is very hard on the ends of my hair and may causing some split ends.
All in all, though I am quite satisfied.

this is BY FAR the greatest curling iron I have ever tried. I've tried lots of irons and this one heats up in less than a minute, cools down at the same speed, and when you're all done, just slap on the cover and throw it back on the shelf, drawer, or whatever you have, no worrying about fires!!!!

Love this curling iron. I had the tiny version when I was in college, and carted it all around europe with me. This one is just as good, maybe better. heats up in less than a minute, and as soon as you're done you can put the cover on and throw it back in the drawer. No cords, no scary hot iron cooling on the counter. It's the best.

Over 20 years with a Braun cordless..... would purchase while on sale and my last "old" one broke...sadly, for I do feel they heated faster and hotter. This is a very good curling iron. Just one thing I took it out of the country and was gone for 2 weeks and did not think to take or buy extra butane and almost ran out. So take an extra butane refill with you.

The Braun this cordless styler replaced had issues with its steam department. Braun has eliminated this troublesome feature, and I don't miss it. I really would be lost without this product, so I make sure I have a new one on-hand, and plenty of butane cartridges.

The Butane Curling Iron is great, but Braun used to have a smaller version that was more compact that I liked to use until it died. Recommend that Braun return to provide their products in a more compact version. Plus, the weight of this curling iron makes it difficult to use with small hands.
New Braun butane powered curling iron is much improved!

I have been using a Braun cordless (butane) curling irons for well over 10 years. The original version was good, but rather fragile. They actually revised it into an inferior product that was both fragile and unreliable.
This new version that is available now is better than the original! It starts every time and even has an opening so you know when the butane is low. I have fine hair and the clip holds even the smallest sections of hair in place.

I love this curling iron because you can take it anywhere, it heats up fast and styles very well. I can drive with damp hair, get to my destination, and do my hair in my car!
