i got this for christmas and was completely excited. i tried it, and though i guess it works okay, (i have to go over one tiny strand like 7 times) my cheaper one works way better. so after the first try, this one has been sitting in my drawer. you can get extremely better ones for less money. dont buy this.

I was all excited about recieving this straightener...but it was not what i expected. I have very wavy thick hair...and this didn't cut it..i had to go over a spot plenty of times just to get it straight..i have a cheaper straightener that i bought that works better..

i bought this product about a yr. ago and soon after receiving it, submitted a review saying how excellently it worked. And it did... but then literally a day after a yr. of owning it, it just stopped working! Kind of odd seeing that the warranty covered a year exactly. I came back on the site, and read other people's reviews who stated the same problem. if you can afford to repurchase this product every year, then go for it. But honestly, can't they find a way to make it work longer? or is this just their way of keeping the money rolling in...? WARNING to potential buyers...

This straightener is great if you have thin hair for two reasons. One, it will not damage the hair like other straighteners will, and two, it's a very small straightener so it's hard to do a lot of hair in a quick amount of time. I've used this same bion straightener for 3 years now, and don't have any immediate plans to switch. I'm comfortable with it, and like the way that my hair looks even when I don't use it... which means my hair is still healthy enough to where I don't need a straightener. It really has done the least amount of damage of any that I have owned.. This is my fifth brand of straightener. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have healthy hair. Also, remember when you straighten your hair that after you finish, let the hair cool (this is a very important factor in the straightening process), then about 10 minutes later come back and do a quick 1-2 minute straightening with the iron. It will make a tremendous difference on your hair.

I got mine for Christmas 2004 and it has worked fine until today. And my room started to smell like something was on fire. It just randomly died. At first it would still heat up, and just not show the temp. but it stopped heating up. It worked good, but I did not think it would die so soon.

So I purchased this hair straightener about a year and a half ago. I barely used it because I didn't want to kill my hair everyday. I just used it for special occasions when I wanted to get dressed up. So the other day I go over to my flat iron to turn it on and .... NOTHING...it just DIED. i don't know what happened. I was sure to take extra care of it because at the time I purchased it it was $180!!! I tried to contact Bion via their website but no response so now I'm stuck with a dead $180 flat iron that is useless.

This bion iron was fantastic, no waiting for heat up and great on my hair when i first brought it 5 months ago. Recently though, its been showing error messages, i would unplug it and plug it back in the outlet then it would work. Then one day it just died, didn't even turn on, NOTHING!(I wished i read the reviews on this site before, seems like this tends to happen)...I then contacted bioanion, emailed them, but they didn't even bother to reply.
I wouldn't recommend this iron, unless you want to take chances to see if it actually turns on.

I have had the Bion for about a year now and it works as if it has never been used before! it is the best iron on this web site! My sister and a couple of my friends have the Chi iron but the Bion works better than them all! Thankz Bion!!

I brougth the bion i am biracial and have very curly hair, this product works well with my hair in 30 minutes my hair is shiny, silky, but a little dry at the ends. However, this is a great iron.

I daughter bought the ceramic hair straightener about a year and 1/2 ago and paid over $150.00 for it. The wire is loose and she only used it on weekends! So now we're stuck with it. A professional iron should last about a few years, and it wasn't cheap you would expect that, and it not like she used it every day, just once on the weekends if that.. We are really disappointed in it.

I purchased the iron with hopes that is would work as well as other (more expensive) products. I was very pleasently surprised with the Bion. It worked very well on my LONG & CURLY hair. I had it done in 30 min, without having to blowdry it out first.

If you have combo curly and wavy hair, this flat iron is for you. Although it flat irons a lot better if you blow dry your hair first, it still works great when you don't. It heats up in seconds saving a lot of time and the temp control is wonderful. It isn't real bulky, so handling is comfortable and easy. Try it, and you won't be able to go a day without it.

This iron heats up in seconds and is great when working with small bunches of hair. I have shoulder-length relatively thick hair and this product works great if smooth out smaller pieces rather than grabbing large bunches.
The iron take a little while to cool off. When traveling, and i do not have time to wait for it to cool in order to pack it, I put the iron inside of a sock to protect if from burning/melting anything else in my bag.
I was disappointed when my iron just stopped working for no apparent reason after 8 months. Luckily, under the warranty, Folica replaced the iron and i'm happily ironing again. I have tried other irons, but this is the same one my stylist uses. It leaves my hair not only straight, but softer than before i ironed it. Of course...don't leave the iron on your hair too long or it may burn.

seriosly ok...i have frizzy hair thats really dry..i purchased a sedu flat iron around christmas time & it was really good but i thought i could get a better iro..so i purchased a bion..it was the worst waste of money ever..its a good iron if you have thin hair and just wanna fix it a little but its about this big:::

I love this product. I can make my hair as straight as I want or not that straight depending on how many tmes I pass it over a chunk of hair.

My hair is mildly waved so it does not take much to make it straight. But what I love most about the flat iron is that it work great in humid environments. I live in an extremely humid town in the South and I could never wear my hair loose in the summer because of the high humidity. I always had to get short haircuts or pull my hair back because I couldn't stand the frizzy hair. Now, when I use this flat iron my hair does not get frizzy at all and I can let my hair grow long, even in the summertime.
