Also available in 1-1/2" Plate Size ) Get to Know Bion | How to Use Bion | Styling Tips | Safety Features The ceramic iron assists in making hair more manageable, by generating a negative ionic field. When hair becomes entirely charged by static electricity (positive electrical charges produced by dry friction and natural movement of the hair), it tends to spread out and become difficult to style. The hair cuticles open, resulting in dull, unhealthy hair. The negatively charged molecules generated by ceramic products smooth and relax the hair by canceling static electricity. The source of all heat lies in the infrared. When introduced to heat, the ceramic products emit far infrared heat waves, which have longer wavelengths. Heat at this level is more easily absorbed by hair, resulting in enhanced vitality, reduced stress, and less damage. Product Features:

This was my first straightener and i was completely satisfied with it until i used a Chi. Compared to the Chi, the Bion left my ends frazzled and dry. A year later the straightener is completely worn out. I used it maybe a few times a week but now it snags so much hair its impossible to go through the motions of straightening my hair and it leaves it looking dry and not completely flat like i like it. I would not recommend this iron to anyone looking for a high quality product. (I have barely wavy, normal, long hair) I bought my Bion about 5 years ago and it just fried out on me last month. It's a fairly good streightener, I bought it when it was $230 and it was a good investment, but I think i want to try a GHD I had the same problem with my daughter's iron malfunctioning. Local service was not possible. I took it apart myself and found that the SW128T 10A thermal fuse had blown. This is a $2 part available from many electronic component stores. You do need to be handy to change the fuse. OK, I read a lot of those bad reviews and had to write in to say how fantastic these straighteners have been for me. I have owned mine for 4 years now and have only just started to see some problems with the temperature - for some reason it starts to cool down when actually straightening the hair, but if I just stop for 15 seconds or so between each bit, it goes back to the right temperature. Even if they did break now, I have well had my moneys worth (and they cost $200 4 years ago, so a bargain now!). Hair is left feeling smooth, shiny and it doesn't snag your hair like many cheap straighteners. I did have some initial problems with the straighteners switching itself off the first time you turn on, but just had to reset and then it was fine. This problem completely disappeared when I moved house about 8 months later, bit weird but I was happy, so it didn't seem to be a problem with the straighteners themselves. When these finally break, I'll definitely be buying the same ones again. Like alot of others I see...mine worked great for about the first year.. now it just woun't work at all, I think for the amount of money this costs it should last way longer!! So if your thinking of getting this one, think again!! Waste of your money:( Read all 123 customer reviews ... Click here for other products by Bion.
