good hair dryer

I bought this dryer over a year ago and I have certainly gotten my moneys worth and its still running just as good as the day I first used it. It does seem loud but its not unbearable, and its probably due to the fact that it puts out a lot of air and it dries your hair very quickly. I like many other reviews I have read, thought it had the shaver outlet on it. The box it came in actually had the picture on it but I don't really need it! I guess the only thing bad I have to say and the reason why I did not give it an excellent rating is that it is impossible to style your hair with a brush (because the air blows out so fast and you can't adjust that part) but if dry is what you want that is what you will get. My kids use it and they love it and its safer to use. I don't have to ever worry about my hair getting caught up and burnt off like it would in traditional dryers.
Doesn't last.

This dryer has been mounted just a little over a year, and I have loved having it until 2 months ago. It got louder and louder until it sounded like a jet ready for take-off. I thought maybe it had to do with the mounting or vibration against the wall, but when I removed it, it was just as loud. The sound is coming from the motor itself. Eventually it overheated with a burning odor and now it doesn't work at all. This would have been a great dryer if it only lasted longer. It's way too expensive for the short time it worked. Buyer beware!
Not worth the money

I bought this product in Dec 2006 as a Christmas gift. It wasn't installed until Jan 2007. By early June 2008 (18 months later) the unit has become excessively loud. I see comments from other customers about the noise issue, so I know I'm not the only one experiencing this annoying problem. I understand the 12 month warranty period has expired but I'm extremely disappointed that the unit only held up this long. For $126, I would have hoped for 4 or 5 years of service. Folica's customer service will offer to sell you another unit and give you a 10% discount. Why would I replace a piece of junk with another piece of junk? And good luck trying to contact the manufacturer of the hair dryer. Consider me a very unhappy customer.
No shaver plugin

The product image and the box clearly say there is a shaver plugin on the front of this product and there is none. Which means if you hard wire this in, you probably then don't have a plug in your bathroom for shavers, foot spas etc.
Delivers as promised except for heat

This is a solid piece of equipment that pretty much delivers as promised - convenient, quiet, puts out a good amount of air, etc.
My only complaint - and really it is from the women in the family - is that its air output doesn't get very hot. It is great for us short haired peeps but long-haireds might prefer a handheld model where the heat source is close to the target (as opposed to heated air traveling down a long tube). There's still plenty of warm air if you are a little patient.
Also, after reading previous reviews about the installed unit vibrating the wall, I used a couple of rubble/fiber washers for mounting. The dryer is as quiet as can be.
Hotel Amenities at Home

My wife admired the wall-mounted hair dryer in our hotel room on a trip to Paris. On returning home, I purchased the Bion Wall-Mount dryer for her as a surprise. It was easy to install, is powerful, and (she reports) is much easier to use than a regular hair dryer. The reason is that you only need hold the wand, not the weight of the dryer motor. We now have a little bit of Parisian ambiance in our master bath.
LOW EMF, Fantastic!

Best hair dryer ever.. Quiet, great heat that isn't drying, and very reliable.
Best of all, the radiation coming off this thing is very low. The radiation at the tube when you dry your hair is ZERO. This is very important, hair dryers cause cancer with their emissions, and this hair dryer doesn't!

Finally, my 6 year old daughter can blow dry her own hair. This dryer is really easy to use and doesn't get too hot for her to handle. I find that it's pretty quiet too.

Nice dryer

I like it. I find it works just as well and quickly as other dryers with more wattage. Maybe because there is more airflow. Larger nozzle. It looks good, even though I don't have it mounted to the wall yet. I like how it turns on by itself when the nozzle is picked up. The cord feels a little stift to manover, but maybe in time that will loosen up. I'm glad to have it.

I easily installed this hair dryer in my bathroom. I absolutely love it! It has 1 air speed, but the temperature is easily modified. I would mention that the noise is somewhat loud on the other side of the wall mount's wall, due to the vibrations. It is not an issue, but is something my husband noticed. I would highly recommend this product.

Was looking for a wall mounted dryer that was solid and not just a dryer that was a hand held with a wall mount. This one lives up to that. It mounted easily with the enclosed template to mark the holes. I put some weather stripping on the back of it as recommended in othe reviews to reduce the noise and vibration behind it, this worked great. It blows more air than a regular dryer and this makes up for the lower wattage. Basically, it works and does a great job.

Works great, seems to be quieter than standard hand-held hair dryer. Takes a few extra minutes to dry my hair but worth it. I bought it to keep those nasty EMFs (electro magnetic fields) away from my head that come from the motor. This keeps the motor on the wall away from your head and only allows the air near you (much safer). The only drawback for me was that the air is not as directed as with a hand held dryer, it tends to blow my hair around all over a little more rather than in one section. Still worth it. Nice looking design, doesn't look too bad hanging on the wall.

I have installed the new Bion hair dryer in our bathroom and my wife and myself are quite happy with it's performance.
In order to minimize the transfer of vibration to the wall, I have used a weather stripping foam tape around the back, which has almost eliminated the vibration. If you want to use this method, just make sure not to block the air intakes.
I would suggest the manufacturer to include this piece of inexpensive addition in the box.

Dryer works well but air volume does not reduce as well as expected when temperature is reduced on the one wheel adjustment. There are times when a low temperature and air volume are desired. Advertised plug for shaver was not present.

I love this dryer! With the graduated cool to heat settings-we control this aspect-the shine remains on my hair. A hand-held w/only 2-3 heat settings always leaves the thinner hair areas of my head dry & frizzy. This dryer has eliminated the need to re-wet & redry them. I'm so happy w/this dryer I'm thinking about buying a second one. Two modifications I'd like are 1. A speed-setting control, and 2. Add 1' length to the hose. Even w/this I'd still not return to using a hand-held.

I am very pleased with this hairdryer. It is a quality product, very convenient to use, and I find my hair turns out better than with hand-held dryers.

This hair dryer does its job well, and is relatively easy to mount on the wall. As much as I like it, there are two things that I wish I would have known: (1) the dial on the front controls the temperature - there is NO control for the force of air that comes out of the wand. (2) The motor housing attached to the wall emits a low rumble as opposed to the high-pitched whine of most hand held units - which is nice, but that rumble translates into vibration that transmits down the wall to the room below. I muffled the noise by applying heavy duty self-adhesive felt pads to the back of the housing, being careful not to block air intake vents.

I used to hide my hair dryer from my 5-yr old daughter... heard enough about tragic stories involving dryers and kids. So after saw this dryer I bought it right away!
There is a reason why upscale hotels use this type of dryer: SAFETY!

I'm quite happy with my purchase. It takes far less time to dry my long, curly hair, this dryer minimizes frizziness and dries hair in relatively little time! It also has an attractive, sleek design, looks good in my bathroom wall.
