This flatiron has been working wondrefully for me. I have thick, afro-european, waist-length hair, and this gets it done in under an hour. My old iron took an hour and a half, and my hair didn't come out shiny and healthy like it does with the bio ionic. It doesn't get my hair perfectly straight, and my hair reacts slightly to the FL summer humidity, but overall, it's great, and I use a cheap straightening gel. I've even dropped it 3 times and it still works good as new. I don't think it's quite worth the price, though.

I have used many flat irons and my hair type is average as far as fine or course and is slighlty wavy. The Bio Ionic flat iron definitely leaves my hair frizz free and silky; however, it doesn't straighten my hair stick straight like the Sedu and Chi irons do. The Chi iron I had made my hair smell like it was burning and there seemed to be a short in it as the light would go off at times and come back on and I returned it quickly. I currently use the Sedu 1/1/2 inch and have found that it doesn't seem to leave my hair burnt smelling and leaves my hair just as straight as the Chi iron. The Sedu leaves my hair silky like the Bio Ionic. If you have pretty straight hair to begin with I would choose the Bio Ionic, but if you have any natural wave or curl I don't feel it will get it perfectly straight. I also swear by the Bio Ionic blow dryers to help keep your hair frizz free wheather wearing it curly or straight as my hair frizzes up like crazy with any other blow dryer even others that claim to used ionic technology.

This flat iron is great mainly because it doesn't cause split ends or breakage. My hair is really frizzy if I don't straighten it. I used to have a chi and it worked well but it would fry my hair! I would definately recommend this flat iron to everyone! Plus, these are less expensive than chi's and its worth the price.

i have like curly/wavy super thick hair and ive tried so many different irons, ive had a babylis, multiple chis and a metropolis flat iron, and the bio ionic one i just got recentry after my new metropolis broke only because they didnt have another metropolis but the bioionic is the best iron ive ever used, it cut my straightening time down by at least 10 minutes and it made my hair 5x straighter and silkier it was most definatly worth the money!
