Best Hair Dryer I've Ever Had

A salon owner convinced me to buy one back in 2000, and I took a chance, as it was very expensive, over $100! I bought the travel one with the folding handle and have been so happy ever since. I have long hair that I color, and get so many compliments on how healthy and shiny my hair looks and feels. It is a luxury to have one of these, as it dries very differently, almost "steaming" your hair into shape, leaving it soft and silky. A few times I did not take it overnight on a trip and refused to use the hair dryer in the motel room preferring to leave my hair wet! Those regular hair dryers are harmful to your hair and noisy. I dropped my bio-ionic once and sent it in. They repaired it for free. I can't say enough about this product. You won't regret owning one.
Amazing the only dryer you'll need

I bought this because I needed a good travel dryer for my thick hard to dry often frizzy hair. I am so impressed. Its better than any full size dryer I've used. My hair looks shiny and smooth and stays smooth on a rainy da too. I will be using this at home and away. small and light weight and has cut my drying time to about 12min from close to 30.
Great Travel Dryer

I travel quite a bit, domestically and internationally and I have stayed at a variety of hotels - from moderate to top of the line. The one thing they all have in common is horrible hair dryers that leave your hair dry, dull and frizzy. I use a Sedu Ionic dryer at home and my hair is always shiny and soft after drying. I wanted the same result when I'm on the road so I did a lot of research and decided to try the Bio Ionic travel dryer. I have been using it for about 3 months and I love it. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and it's lightweight and compact for easy packing. It's worth the money. I would definitely recommend this dryer to anyone who travels.

I bought this dryer specifically because it had dual voltage. I took it to France where the very first time I plugged it in, it burned out. What a waste of money!! To say nothing of the fact that I then had no dryer for the rest of my trip.
Not great

I bought this for the main purpose of travel to Europe and needed a dual voltage dryer. This dryer was just not poweful enough for my hair. I suspect it would get even worse on the 220 v. My yellow bird can dry my thick hair in about 10 min and this would have taken at least 20. When my hair was already dry, a touch up with this did make it shiny. Overall, a big disappointment. Not worth the money and I will return.

I bought this from a salon and love it. I have wavy hair and use this to style my hair everyday. My stylist says my hair is very healthy. I have noticed the difference since I started using this dryer. My hair is now very shiny and healthy. I don't think my hair has ever been this healthy.
Totally worth the money!!
Bio Ionic Rules (Stay Away from T3)!

I travel a lot and wanted a convenient hair dryer to take with me on trips, so I first purchased a T3 travel dryer. The very first time I turned the T3 on, it made a popping sound, followed by a burning smell and stopped working. I didn't buy the T3 from Follica and was unable to return it. So...as you might imagine, after losing $100+ on the T3, I was reluctant to buy another expensive travel hair dryer. Nevertheless, I finally settled on this Bio Ionic model from Folica. And I absolutely love it.
I bought the Bio Ionic a little less than a year ago, and it has performed beautifully ever since. As already noted, I travel often; consequently, I use this dryer often. It is reliable, lightweight and packs easily.
It also works beautifully on my hair. I have very thick, long, wavy hair, and the Bio Ionic dries my hair quickly and leaves it feeling sleek and silky. I purchased the optional Bio Ionic diffuser to use for a curly look, and I love the way it works too.
All in all, I can't say enough good things about my little Bio Ionic travel dryer. I will remain brand loyal to Bio Ionic for a long time to come. I hope you'll like this dryer as much as I do.
Works Well Overseas

I purchased this for a trip to Ireland and it performed extremely well. It was powerful and dried my hair in a snap. I wanted a dual voltage dryer, as on my previous trip to continental Europe, the converter did a terrible job of converting the power of my regular hair dryer. I definitely recommend this product for travel. The one downside is the the switch for the dual voltage is very hard to turn! If the company fixed this, it'd have the perfect travel dryer!

This is the best hair dryer I've found for its size! I travel 4 days a week for work, so I need a compact travel dryer, but I hate to spend time very much time getting ready. This dryer is very hot and powerful and ionic, which means it dries my hair very quickly. I have only had the dryer for 2 months and not yet used it overseas, but so far traveling around the U.S. I have been very happy!

I took this dryer with me for my November wedding/honeymoon in France. I normally use a CHI Rocket dryer that dries my very thick coarse hair extremely fast. I was skeptical at first, but once I turned the switch the dryer worked very well and did not blow a fuse. I was told that it was foolish to spend this much money on a travel dryer....Mine was the only out of 12 women that did not burn out/blow a fuse while we were in Europe!! Definitely worth the money.
Excellent in Europe and the US

I bought this as I was taking a trip to the Netherlands in October. Not only did this dry my hair quickly but I was able to style it as I brushed. I was extremely happy with the results - it's not often that travel blow dryers do anything more than just dry your hair - this one allowed me to keep the basic style of my haircut.
I liked it so much that I use it interchangeably with my Solano blowdryer at home. It's much quieter and the air is not as hot.
I would highly recommend this blowdryer to anyone traveling. I've had mine for a almost two months now and haven't had any problems. I'll be taking it to France for 4 months early next year and if there are any problems, I'll update the website!

I bought this hairdryer to take on my trip to Italy. The problem I encountered was not being able to plug the hairdryer in all outlets while I was in Italy. The plug has one side prong larger than the other (very standard for U.S. outlets). I discovered that most outlets have prong holes the same size as well as converters.
Overall, this hairdryer works well. I have frizzy hair and I found it worked just as well as my Elchim.
I will definitely bring this hairdryer when I travel within the U.S. since its light and folds up nicely. But I would beware if you are trying to take this hairdryer on an international trip.

I bought this dryer a few months ago and I've been very pleased with it. The time spent on drying my long thick hair has been cut in half! With other dryers my hair ends up looking dry and frizzy. My hair is noticeably smoother looking after using this dryer. The dryer folds up for traveling as well. Worth the price.

When I come across reviews on this hairdryer I was kinda skeptical about the claims there but still went ahead to order one. It turn out to be a good investment. I also got the diffuser to go with it and it really is good for drying curly hair. The heat is not hot like other dryers I have used before but does a very good job of drying without the hair turning fried. It is also very silent. I would said it is really a good hairdryer.
Good but. . .

I'm living overseas, ordered the bio ionic traveling conditioning dryer online so my dad could bring it over for me on his next trip. I've used bio ionic products before and am familiar with their good quality. The 5 times the hair dryer worked was great- quick and effective. But now it's just stopped working. Not sure if I burnt a fuse, but it's supposed to be dual voltage! There isn't a 'switch' to change the voltage either- it's just a built in screw and sorry to sound ignorant, but is the screw supposed to be turned toward the correct voltage?? no instructions!!
For a little dryer, it gets the job done.

Because it was listed as out of stock, I picked up this dryer at a Pure Beauty retail store - price was $100.95! I bought it just to try. This is a great travel dryer, it's lightweight and dual voltage. It has power and does a nice job smoothing out the coarse sections of my hair, minimizing usage of my flat iron.
Good, but not spectacular

I don't understand what all the hype is about Ionic hairdryers, so I bought one. I still don't understand. This is a nice compact little hair dryer, with good power, to take with me when I travel, but not a miracle hair makeover device. I really do not think it was worth the high price.

I bought the dryer for the fact that is has dual voltage since I travel to the UK quite frequently. I have not tried it there yet, but tried it out at home in the US for the first time this morning. It works very well! It has enough power to dry your hair quickly, and most importantly, it produces very hot air. It is also very light and portable. The nozzle is a not as narrow as I would have liked it to be, but, overall it's a great, compact and powerful dryer.
