This product works, but it works no better than any other straighteners & heat protectants. Its a good product, but not worth the money. I paid $10 for lke 1 oz - ridiculous!

This product did make my smoother and reduced the frizz... but i think it is a little bit over-rated. it is no miracle product....but it is good.

I bought biosilk originally because that is what the people at the salon i go to used on my hair. I won't deny that i love the smell and gives my hair a nice shine without making it greasy or changing the texture of it. However, with a 10 dollar price tag for 2 ounces of the stuff, its just not worth it. I've found products that smell just as good, and have all of the same qualities of biosilk for one third of the price (and twice as much per bottle) If you're willing to spend lots of money on it, then i say go for it. However there ARE things on the market that work just as well, but don't cost nearly as much.
I've used this product for more than 5 years...

For the people who've said it dries their hair out, do you use a good quality shampoo and conditioner, not store brands. NEVER use store brands on your hair, you might as well wash your hair with soap!! Go to a salon and spend a little money on some quality hair products and you'll see the benefit of Bio Silk. If you're going to spend the money on Bio Silk spend the money on the other products too.

I have tried other hair serums and they would still leave my hair dry. But one day I looked at the reviews in this site and I went out and bought the big bottle real cheap. I went home and tried it and this stuff ROCKS!! Man I'm telling you the minute that I put this serum on my damp hair and flat iron it my hair came out soft like silk. I've been wanting my hair to feel this soft for so long. I love this product. This is one product that I'm not gonna trade for the world. Anyways, for those of you that haven't tried it go out and buy it. I guarantee you, you won't regret it.

ok here is the run down on silk. silk contains 17 out of the 19 amino acids that make up hair and skin makeing it the closest thing to our hair in nature.BioSilk Silk Therapy is just that its for ppl wityh healthy hair that want to maintain that look if u have colored or rleaxed hair the use silk infusion its a reconstructer meaning it will go inside the hair and change the dynamics of it .i use both product in my salon and have had great succes with it and the alchol that is it the product is to maintain the shelf life of it but guess what the minute the product hits the air the alchol disapates so it never touchs ur scalp. (silk is naturly a thermo protectant so yes u can and should use it with ur heat tools ,also silk is a fiber so it will expaned 3 x its size when exposed to mousture so use away the proos farr our way the cons)and the pricew is not really that expansive we sell a loot of diffrent serums at our salon compare the price ur self u will see its very compative spectialy for how little u need to use .alittle goes along way with this stuff.
here is a tip for those who use this product and still have frizz mix the serum with biosilk glazing gel u will love it (always use in wet hair)

My daughter's hair has always been prone to extreme tangles. On top of this she is very tender headed. We battled every time I came near her with a brush or comb. To make matters even worse her hair has started to develop curls and waves the past few years. So then I was battling tangles and frizz. My hair has zero curl so I did not quite know how to tame her wild head of hair. A lady I met recommended Biosilk for frizz control. My daughter and I were both overjoyed with the fact that not only did it control the frizz but it also is the best detangler I have ever used. It is very light weight and does not make the hair look or feel oily. I use it on my hair now too. We both get comments about how "silky" and shiney our hair is now. I LOVE this stuff.

I am biracial, but with almost completely AA hair. I shaved it for a decade because I was tired -- I was a low maintenance woman with high-maintenance hair. I wanted some length, so I started relaxing my hair again. I relax the new growth for 5-10 minutes. This loosens the curl, leaving me with waves and spirals instead of kinks (my hairs tend to knot around themselves and each other at 1" or more).
Still, moisture was a problem. No matter how great my hair looked one day, in the morning it looked dry, damaged and strawlike. I had to condition almost daily and use all sorts of leave in treatments to lay my hair down in the morning. After reading reviews here, I decided to try BioSilk. I spray my hair with a Thermasilk detangler (past experience found the "heat-activated" conditioning being really effective), then I apply Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum and BioSilk (again, based on positive reviews for these two products). Since the reviews said using too much BioSilk would make the hair greasy, I thought using too much on my extremely dry hair would be just about right.
My hair is soft and shiny all day and my curls look great. When I wake up, my curls are still soft to the touch and I only have a few dry spots. Instead of conditioning my hair, I can run wet fingers through it a few times, apply the detangler, SSS and BioSilk and I'm good to go. Finally, low maintenance, soft, moisturized hair!
I will post again after trying it with my Chi flat iron or if there is damage/drying over time, as in some reviews. But so far, this is just what I needed, though I am have not experimented with just the BioSilk or just the SSS.

This product makes my hair shiny, soft, and manageable. Although most hair dressers are not recommending it because of the silicon in it, I still use.

Order a big bottle because you are going to love it if you have big eighties hair like I do! I mix this with my gel and apply it to wet hair before blow drying, and also use a little afterwards to add a little more shine to my hair. This is great stuff!

I was introduced to biosilk when i went to a salon to get a hair cut and the girl that did my hair put some in after she finished the cut and i was in love instantly. So i ordered some. I do not use this product everyday just a few times a week when i want something a little extra. I am a little disappointed in that i have never gotten that "wow" factor that i got from the first time i used it. I like the way it smells but overall its not a life changing products but i don't feel as though i totally wasted my money on it.

this works wonders makes my hair SUPer shiny smooth and sleek and it really does what it says. Also I have heard and tried that it removes makeup and is a great body moisterizer and it really is it makes my make up melt off!!

For years I have tried every kind of shampoo and conditioner and product I can think of to tame my hair. It's in between straight and curly but very frizzy and brittle. I thought it was just something I was going to have to live with, and I would never be able to grow my hair long. I thought that I was alone in my trouble with my kind of hair. But then along came BioSilk. It's like I have completely different hair. The first several months I started to use Biosilk, I was amazed and almost in tears because I was so happy. I just couldn't get over it. Finally, a product I could use successfully on my tempestuous coif. My hair stylist tried to use another product that she said would be just the same because her salon stopped carrying BioSilk and said it would work just the same. Let me tell you, it did not even come close. Thank you to everybody that worked on creating this product. You are wonderful. You'll never know how much it means to me to be able to have "normal" hair.

I have pretty fine, dull hair that tangels easily and is a little frizzy. This product is a god sent! It actually helped with all of the symptoms that my hair seemed to be suffering from. I have now used this product for over 6 years, and I have yet to be dissapointed. The only thing I would warn people about, is you don't have to use very much of the product at all. For my whole head I use about a dime size amount, and even though my hair is thin, it's pretty long. I would reccommend this product to everyone!
No split ends!

A month ago I purchased biosilk shampoo, conditioner, and silk therapy. I straighten my hair almost everyday, and it has become damaged and prone to split ends. As soon as I started using silk therapy, my hair felt AMAZING when I was done straightening it. Not only did it protect my hair from split ends and heat damage, it repaired the split ends I already had! The only thing is that my hair doesn't feel good until after I straighten it

Really works, but the strong cheap perfume smell is too overbearing. You should make a fragrance free formula. Many women are alergic to perfume and it causes severe migrain headaches!

I starting using BioSilk in March. It made my dry, coarse hair feel VERY soft. But, the real test would be the hot, steamy summer. I would spend a lot of time blow drying my hair and as soon as I stepped outside...FRIZZ. Not this summer. I put BioSilk on my wet hair and blow dry. Sometimes I'll put on a very small amount after I style. I can go out in the most humid weather and my hair doesn't frizz. AMAZING! It does curl slightly, but I don't look like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket :) Try it. It works.

I'm African American and I have natural (unprocessed) very fine curly hair. Since I don't relax it, I really needed a product line to help me get it straight and sleek without taking hours to accomplish. FIRST, I bought my SEDU ceramic flat iron (a must for you natural gals!). Then I bought this Biosilk Silk Therapy as well as the Biosilk Shampoo/Conditioner. (I also use the Aphoghee Treatment). My hair gets silky straight, shiny, light and bouncy. I get compliments all the time. People frequently want to touch my hair! Do you want gorgeous hair, too? Here's what to do: 1. Shampoo and condition with Biosilk Therapy set. 2. Put in Aphogee Conditioning Treatment, blow-dry until your hair feels like a helmet and rinse out. 3. Rub a SMALL amount of Biosilk Therapy in your hair 4. Blowdry 5. Use your Sedu Ceramic Flat Iron (which I bought via Folica)
Your hair will now be glorious!
