Medium Chestnut, #48 Dark Chestnut, #58 Black Brown, #59 Oriental Black. Directions: - Assemble everything you need: the contents of the Bigen pack, plastic or
glass bowl or cup and a non-metal stirrer, plastic or rubber gloves, cape or
used towel, brush, cold cream.
- Do not pre-shampoo your hair unless it is very oily or treated with
metallic color such as hair color spray or henna compound or any other
material that might interfere with Bigen coloring. Cover the upper part of
your body with the towel or cape. Apply a thin coating of cold cream along
the hairline to guard against any traces of tint around the hairline.
- Pour Bigen Permanent Powder Hair Color into the plastic or glass cup or
bowl. Add tap water at room temperature (DO NOT use hot water) in the
following proportion to make a paste:
- 1 bottle Bigen Powder, 5 Bigen measuring cups of water (2 fl oz)
- ½ bottle Bigen Powder, 2½ Bigen measuring cups of water (1 fl oz)
- ¼ bottle Bigen Powder, 1 Bigen measuring cups of water (½ fl oz)
- Then quickly apply Bigen Hair Color mixture to the dry or towel dry hair
with a brush. If you are partially gray haired, start application where the
hair is most gray, making sure every hair strand is thoroughly covered.
After application is complete, begin timing. It usually takes 20-30 minutes
for the hair color to develop and cover gray. (DO NOT use dryer or cap.)
- Your color results depend on your current color or hair conditions. After
10 minutes, check your color by wiping a strand with cotton every few
minutes until the desired color is achieved. Failure to perform a strand
test may result in darker shade than expected.
- Now rinse Bigen thoroughly from the hair with warm water. Then wash the
hair with mild shampoo until the water runs completely clear and free of
color.
- Low pH conditioner is recommended for satisfactory results.
Warnings & Precautions: This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain
people. Color may last longer depending on type, condition and porosity of hair.
Patch and strand test is recommended. Do not use in the eye area. To do so may

The reason I say that Bigen is for me is because I am highly allergic to many things,( I am allergic to approx'ly 300 things) but I got surperb results from Bigen.I'm 59 yrs old & had not put a rinse or dye in my hair for 4 yrs. I am a black woman with redish hair,(as when I was a kid & growing up, my hair was always redish)but gray hair started to take over, so I started to look older. I was told about Bigen last yr, but I was reluctant to use it. So I bought the #59 because I wanted Black hair. I am happy to say that I look 20 yrs younger. I have not had any reactions yet, and it have been 1 month. I was afraid to use it at first, but I am glad I did. Please, try not to use Bigen the way you want to use it. Go by the instructions. I always give myself an conditioner 2 days before I perm, then I waited 2 weeks to use the Bigen. My hair is very black, the way I always wanted it, & I look and feel great. No itching, no swelling, no rash, or nothing. Normally, if I get a reaction from something, it will be right away, or within 24 hrs. Bigen will be my dye until it shows me different. Thanks Bigen!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will enjoy it while it last.

I performed a skin test and after 24hours had a raised area that itches like mad. Though it contains no ammonia or peroxide it contains PPD. Make sure you perform the skin test first.

This is the second time I have used the Bigen hair color....and I will never use it again. My eyes have swollen shut and my head is completely filled with sores. After the first application I was so pleased with the product that I decide to use it again and this is what I am faced with. Puss in my head, swollen lymph nodes in my neck, behind my ears, and eyes that resemble the pink eye. What a horrible feeling. I have never has an allergic reaction to a product before. I will NEVER use this again and suggest that other womenof color refrain from uisng it also!

I have naturally brown hair and wanted the 'jet black', look so I tried the Bigen 59 brand AND FOUND IT TO WORK VERY WELL in giving me that rich black look that I've always wanted. The first application went well, after 2-3 mths I decided to re-touch my roots thats when all hell broke loose. Within minutes I noticed my hair getting very irritated ,my ears were swollen and my scalp itched LIKE CRAZY. My eyes were itching and some small bumps appeared on my eye lids causing it to itch and become VERY irritated. I had to put anti itch and antibiotic cream on my scalp and prayed for the night mare to end. I now have bald spots in portions of my hair.Its a good product but you just have to be careful.

I purchased This hair color 2 days ago, I was excited to try out something new, and it was recommended to me... I was so disappointed, the color did not stay in my hair, there was no difference. It was a waste of money. I would not recommend this to any one. Stick with liquid.
