I have super fine hair that stubbornly refuses to hold a curl in the absence of a cement truck full of product. Upon receipt of this iron, I plugged it in and seconds later was using it on half heat to place a few curls in my hair before rushing off to work with a ponytail and a light dusting of hairspray. 8 hours into my 10 hour shift, my hair is still curled! I keep catching glances at myself in mirrors in patients rooms and wondering, "Who is that cutie pie with the adorable bouncy ponytail?". I can't wait to get home and play with some more styles! I'm unable to testify to the durability of this iron, as I've owned it less than a day, but as far as quality and effectiveness it is the best curling iron I've ever owned. Heats quickly and evenly, multiple temperature settings, long cord, good heavy feel, no snagging of hair noted. Far superior to other brands I've used - Wigo, Helen Of Troy, Hot Tools, Conair, Revlon.
