Better than Conair, but no T3

I'm finding that this dryer features a more controlled stream of air and generally, cuts down on drying time. However, I am still not getting the silky, frizz-free mane I'd imagined, even when I combine usage with a fancy boar-bristle round brush. The problem could be that I'm not getting my 100% dry before I stop styling, but I refuse to spend more than 10 minutes on my hair. It's only shoulder-length and medium in texture. Notably, my second-day hair looks great-- bouncier, fuller and less limp than it did when I used a cheap drugstore dryer.
Excellent Dryer for Blow-Outs

When my BaByliss Pro TT Tourmaline 5000 Hair Dryer broke down after only 6 months, Folica came thru with an excellent price and super fast shipping on the BaByliss Carerra 2.
I purchased this one based solely on the reviews, and it has lived up to every one of them. Its solid constuctionand rubberized exterior is great. all the buttons are in the right spots for easy access. I blow dry my super curly frizzy hair straight every other day and this dryer lives up to that demand. The concentrator nozzle NEVER falls off, and it cut my drying time down from 48 minutes to an amazing 26 minutes!!! its no longer a big ordeal blowing out my hair.
the Carerra 2 makes it easy, and Folica makes it cheap with the best price available on the web. This one also comes with a 3 year warranty wheter the other TT Tourmaline only came with 1 year. Seeing that it broke before then Im hoping this Carerra will last me at least 3 years. if you are looking for a good solid, dependable dryer that will blow your hair straight in the shortest time possible, then this is the dryer for you!
Almost Perfect.

This is great. This makes my relaxed hair soft and shiny. Although it does not eliminate frizz, It does greatly reduce it. It also seems to seal in moisture better than any other blow dryer. Great Buy!
Very Good Hair Dryer

I am very happy with this hair dryer. My hair looks like I just left the salon. The finish is soft and silky. The time to blow dry my hair is less than before. I didn't find this model too heavy as mentioned in other reviews, although I did find the placement of the setting buttons on the handle a little awkward at first, but you adapt after awhile. Overall, I think this is an excellent product.
Not well made

As far as drying my hair quickly, this dryer performed well. It's too bad that the motor started making noises after a month of infrequent use. After four months, I was afraid to use it because I feared it could set my hair on fire. Qualitywise, a very low end product.
Very Heavy

It is a great hair dryer for styling your hair. But it is very heavy to hold and your arm gets easily tired. The end also can get extremely hot. It has an akward grip as well. When holding the hair dryer my hand always hits the cool or off button.
Not as good as I thought it would be

By reading the reviews here, I thought the blow dryer would perform better. When I'm done blow drying, my hair is still frizzy. I have to use my Sedu hair straightener to get straight results. Some people have mentioned that it is heavy. I don't think it is.
Very pleased....

After reading a number of testimonials on line, I decided to purchase the BaByliss Pro Carrera 2 Ceramic Ionic Hair Dryer and I was completed satisfied with its performance. Despite a lot of humid weather in the northeast this summer, the dryer performed well in keeping frizz to a minimum and I would definitely recommend it.

I had ordered the Sedu Ultrapower Hairdryer after reading all the great reviews it got and was highly disappointed when I got it. I did not like it at all so I went ahead and ordered the Babyliss becuase I remebered owning one a while back. This hairdryer is just the best. It dries your hair quickly and it leaves it so straight that I don't even need to use a flat iron. I have a lot of hair and it's fairly long so I need a powerful dryer. It's a great hairdryer and it costs a fraction of the Sedu. I give it a 10.
Very hot

Dryer gets very hot - almost burns your hair and appears to smoke after use unless put on cold for a period of time. Air flow is fine. Unit is a bit heavy
Nice hairdryer.

I purchased this hairdryer to replace one that just quit working after three months of use. So far it seems like a really good hairdryer for the money! The only problem I have is that the attachment that focuses the air easily flies off when I am drying my hair. I quickly learned that I have to really push hard to keep it from coming off. Otherwise it is a quality hairdryer and straightens my hair that easily frizzes.
Totally Pleased with the Babyliss

My first experience with using an Ionic Hair Dryer is when I visited my daughter. She had one, (a Babyliss) and I was suprised how fast it was, and how my hair felt afterwards! Of course, I had to have one for myself, and my daughter gave me the link to Folica.com, and I chose this one for it's price and the reviews. I have no problem with the weight of the unit, nor the positioning of the control buttons. I would buy this again as a gift for my other daughter without hesitating one second.

I never knew blow drying my hair could be such a pleasurable experience! I am African-American with natural (un-relaxed) hair. My hair texture is a typical West African hair texture--tightly coiled. Blow drying my hair used to be a dreaded task, now it's quite pleasurable. It takes about 15 min to blow dry my hair straight and I don't know what it is but the Babyliss makes my hair so SHINY! I just follow up the blow-out with Biosilk and my CHI iron and my non-chemically treated hair is straight, straight, straight for days and days. So much so that my stylist complains that she misses me . . . I sure don't miss having to pay to look this good!

I've had this dryer and used it on every client for over a year now. It works very well and is incredibly reliable. It really smooths and gets rid of frizz. The only problem is that it is very very heavy! Your arm will get tired. That is the only drawback that I've encountered so far, though.
