Product Rating: 2 Either get a Conair or go Sedu

This dryer is definitely not worth the money. It worked ok enough, or so I thought, until I noticed one day that it was literally singing my hair off along with the bristles on my round brush. Maybe it is common sense to not hold the dryer that close to your hair, however, my old cheap dryers never had a problem with it and my new $140 dryer doesn't either. If you are going to buy, just watch how close you get to your head when you are on the high setting.

Product Rating: 3 Depends on your type of hair and style - my opinion
Reviewer: Karen from DELAND, Florida  Wed Sep 10 2008

While this dryer did give my hair some extra shine and dried it fast even on low heat, I decided to return it and here's why - My shoulder length hair has a lot of natural wave and body to it that I prefer to enhance with loose curls and waves instead of blowing it out straight. This dryer seemed to blow out a lot of my natural wave even without my using a round brush, unlike my regular, plain dryer. I used it a few time to make sure and I still seemed to end up with less body and a different type of texture. But as I see that a lot of reviewers here are happy with this dryer then I think the results depend on what type of hair you have and what you like. I was glad to be able to try it.

Product Rating: 1 Don't buy this model.

Good dryer if it wasn't for the ridiculous design - the nozzle does not snap on but only slides on. After one month of use, the nozzle no longer fits tight enough and shoots right off after about 30 seconds of use. My hairdresser also had this model and the front started to MELT after a couple months of use.

Product Rating: 4 Better than what you pay for...

This dryer has held up like iron with constant usage for over 3 years. If you are looking for a solid blow dryer with impressive power for a cheap price, look no further. Worth every penny.

Product Rating: 5 Amazing.

My sister first bought this product, and after seeing the effects it had on her hair, I was sold. We both have a lot of frizzy hair, her's is extremely thick and completely unmanagable. The best part is that I could sneak into her room, use the dryer and have perfectly straight hair in 10-15 minutes. Now I dont think 3 pounds is heavey AT ALL. I don't squeeze the dryer so the position of the buttons seem fine. In fact the cool shot button is perfect to get that quick shot. It does get extremely hot, as the description even says. All in all, its a great light weight product that leaves the silky and smooth.

Product Rating: 5 I never thought I'd get such amazing results!

I have frizzy, curly, damaged, AND processed hair.

I used to buy cheap blow dyers and iron my hair – which still did not give me the results I wanted.

I started with BaByliss PRO TT (Carrera 2) Tourmaline 3000 Dryer last year, in my opinion I thought it was ABSOLUTELY amazing. However, it died on me within a year and I decided to buy this blow dryer.

I was shocked on how amazing my hair looked! My hair came out silky straight, it was perfect. You would never guess I have curly hair. Even my very stubborn cowlick was right on place. I couldn’t believe that a blow dryer would ever do this to my hair. My friends were shocked as to how straight my hair came out and quickly. I’m the only in the office on a rainy day with a perfect blow out. I no longer have the need to use my hair iron.

I love that it’s very light (I cannot believe people say it’s heavy-seriously!!), has a long cord, and works perfectly amazing.

2 downsides:

1) You have to be careful when blow drying your hair since it’s so powerful or you could burn your scalp. I actually kept the nozzle from my other BaByliss blow dryer and it fits fine. It has openings to the side, so it’s not as hot.

2) I noticed that even if I did try to curl the tips of my hair it would still come out straight, maybe I’ll get a curling iron for the tips.

Overall, I think it’s a fabulous blow dryer and if it breaks, I’ll buy it again.

Product Rating: 4 Best dryer I've ever bought
Reviewer: Sab from NJ  Tue May 13 2008

I recently purchased the Babyliss dryer and I am pretty content with it. With my old cheap dryers my hair always use to become really frizzy and have a very "dry/brittle" appearance, but the Babyliss dryer it doesn't. This dryer cuts down on frizziness big time! Also it retained the moisture in my hair which makes it a lot softer.
However, I was a bit disappointed because the dryer doesn't straighten my hair very well or make it shiny. But straightening hair also depends on brush and how you style it- so it might be just me.

Product Rating: 5 I love this hair dryer
Reviewer: Andrew N. from San Diego, CA  Fri May 02 2008

Last year, I read a lot of good reviews about this dryer. I did not really believe it. I thought this hair dryer is just one of "them" I normally bought at Walmart. But for 60 bucks, I decided to get one just for trying. I was very surprised that the motor of this dryer is so strong. It dried my hair so fast. I also used this dryer to dry my dog's hair very often, and she loved it. Recently I just bought another one for my other bathroom.

Keep up the good work Babyliss.

This is a great hair dryer! I am very happy with the strength of the air coming out, the design, and the great price! If you are looking for a great and affordable hair dryer, this is the one!

I love this blow dryer. It has made such a difference in my blow drying time! My hair is silky smooth before I even use my flat iron.

Product Rating: 4 Great hair dryer but a bit heavy
Reviewer: Mary Ellis from Iowa  Fri Apr 25 2008

I love this dryer. It does everything an good ionic blow dryer should do and it doesn't damage my hair but leaves it smooth. I would have given it five stars but the one fault I can find with it is that it is heavier than I thought it would be and I'm not crazy about the on/off and temperature switches. I would prefer them to be on the side where my thumb can manipulate them better. Still, it is the best hair dryer I have ever owned and if you don't mind the weight or the switches being on the inside of the handle, then I highly recommend it.

Great blowdryer.

Product Rating: 5 Ideal "time saving" hairdryer
Reviewer: Melanie from North Alabama  Sun Apr 20 2008

Purchased the Babybliss Carrera 2 for my daughter who has extremely thick, curly hair. It works superbly! Drying time is much faster than other hairdryers used in the past - drying time decreased by half! The results are great; soft, silky, straight hair which is difficult to achieve in humid climates. This hairdryer is perfect for anyone, but especially so for those with thick, and/or curly hair.

I bought this hair dryer after much research, and it's been WONDERFUL! In fact, my husband went to a high-end salon to get his hair cut, and he commented to his hairdresser that his wife (me!) had the same hairdryer she was using. The hairdresser looked at him in amazement, asking where I had found it, since she had paid $120 and had been looking for another ever since. Thanks, Folica! Oh, BTW, there are diffusers out there that fit this hair dryer-I know there were some complaints that it didn't come with one. My Van Michael Salon carries very functional, cheap diffusers by "Urban Locks".

This is a great dryer if working. The hot button stopped working after 3 weeks! The heating coil must have burnt out quickly. This is the second time with the same dryer. I threw out the other one after a year or two of use but this time it was too soon. The buttons are always awkward and it is heavy but I liked the way it works when it works. I am getting credit from my credit card company.

Product Rating: 5 LOVE IT !!!!!

I love this hair dryer!!!! I bought it in June of 05 and it just now died. That is three years of Loyal service.I have long, thick and curly hair so a good dryer is of utmost importance. I used this almost everyday and my mom uses it too. so for three years this dryer was being used everyday and sometimes twice a day. I think three years is awesome for that much use. Buy it and don't regret it. Beauty is not cheap. When I bought the dryer I paid $95.00 for it. I am so excited to only have to pay $60.00 this time. I will be buying it again!

I bought the Babyliss Pro Carrera 2 last month and am 100% satisfied. It dries my hair quickly without frizz and the cool shot option leaves my hair tangle free all day. I used to use cheap Conair hairdryers and my hair would feel tangled all day. Now I don't have to worry about it.

Product Rating: 5 AMAZING!!!!
Reviewer: Alexandra from New York  Tue Mar 11 2008

this is the best blow dryer in the free world hands down. i was shocked at how shiny and straight my hair was without adding any products. Usually my hair comes out straight but puffy with a cheap blowdryer (conair does not work!!) and then i would have to use the iron.... being black and hispanic my hair is semi-hard to blowdry however the hot setting on the babyliss made my hair literally japaneese straight...lol. and i didnt even need to run the iron thru my hair afterwards... it is worth the price this product comes highly recommended.

Product Rating: 4 Awesome!

This blow dryer is amazing! It really doesn't make your hair super frizzy like most blow dryers and in turn, cuts down on time using a flat iron afterwards.
