I thought ion and ceramic technology was all hype, but wanted to give it a try when my old one died after 10 years. This dryer had the technology and was affordable (less than $100). I have thick Asian hair that takes 10 minutes to dry. I rarely try curls because they end up frizzy after I dry my hair. I got my perm and purchased the dryer. 3 minutes with this new dryer, my hair is completely day and my curls are shiny. Hope this one lasts a long time.
P.S. I also got the finger diffuser which is excellent because it firmly attaches.

My boyfriend bought me this blowdryer as a surprise. How thoughtful and what a great gift. Every woman should own one of these.
Made of some NASA grip-type material, it never slips out of your hand. So powerful, you can blow out leaves from your yard. Blow drying takes 1/2 the time. Buttons are in all the right places. Nice thick cord, doesnt tangle. Overall worth every penny.

This hair dryer is great, I was worried when I read the other reviews about the buttons being in a terrible place, but it was exactly what I needed for the right price and I decided to try it anyways. The buttons are not that easy to hit accidentally and you can just adjust how you hold the dryer. Easy to fix. It is definitely worth trying out! I love it!

I enjoy my blowdryer it works good, although the diffuser falls off occasionally. I am a hairstylist and changing hands sometimes turns it off due to button placement. It's as good as the elchim that I just returned ($115)

I must say i didnt believe the results that I read this dryer can do will actually happen to me. They have! My hair is silky, smooth, so shiney, and dries so fast!! the weight of the dryer Does not bother me at all..I have medium wavy hair, very stubborn would always have to use a flat iron after blow drying, but NOT once since ive received this blow dryer, its the best So worth the money!

I was actually the first one to review this product when I bought it over a year ago. I still use it daily. It works amazingly for me. I have thick hair (it seems straight hair people don't do as well with it... but then they can use just about any dryer and still have straight hair... so they don't really count LOL) As for those saying their dryer "burned out", they must have gotten a dud or have seriously abused theirs, because mine works as great as it did the day I took it out of the box!
I've definitely gotten used to the buttons and I don't even notice them anymore. I LOVE the COLD button on it. In fact, during the last hurricane when we lost power, I hooked up my dryer to the generator just so I could get some cold blasts of air! LOL

I bought this blow dryer because it's the one that my hairdresser uses on me & a friend. It is one of the quickest drying dryers that I've ever used & leaves your hair sleek & shiny ! My hairdresser ordered one for my friend & it cost her $89.00, I got mine from Folica.com for $68.00 plus free shipping. Can't beat that anywhere !!
I would urge anyone who likes the straight, sleek look to try this blow dryer & anyone who has thick hair to try it because it saves so much time on drying.

I had a cheap conair hairdryer before that died while in England. So, I decided to upgrade to an ionic, ceramic, quieter hairdryer. My roommate is very happy with the reduction in noise. I'm happy that I can actually hear my music while drying my hair. If I spend time drying, my hair will be smooth to the extent that I don't need my ceramic straightening iron. It seems to dry my hair more quickly than my old dryer. Overall, I'm very happy with it.
Cons: The dryer is not as light as I'd like (but not heavier than average dryers) and my fingers keep hitting the controls on the handle thus changing the settings while using.

Have been using Babyliss hair dryer for about a week, and find it performs very well. The first time I used it there was noticeably shiny and smooth hair compared with my old non-ionic dryer. I can't imagine that the much more expensive competition is that much better.
African American Nappy Hair

HERE IS ALL THE PROOF YOU NEED:
My Hair was so nappy when I get out of the shower. I couldn't get a pick threw it when its wet. I used those Blow Dryers from the little store in the shopping center. My ends was just splitting and as I reached the tips of my hair, I can see like centimeters of hair all over the wall and on my new White T-Shirt when I am done blow drying to. I am a guy who keeps Braids in my hair all the time. I used this NEW BabyLiss Ionic blow dryer and now I see less and less hair on my shirt and shoulders including the walls. When I am done, I always check the Look, Length, and Feel of my hair to notice anything different and I seen that my hair is growing a lot faster because it don't break off and my natural oils stay in my scalp and hair so I don't really have to add any extra oils which clogs my pores. In addition, I can put my fingers threw it without it getting stuck, and the feel of it is like rubbing a jacket with Silk Fur (Its Lovely). Now the water helps to keep a silky look to it instead of using those other wack Blow Dryers with no negative Ions which use cause me to add some Growth Oil just to make it look good. $68.00 is worth having good hair instead of damaged hair that will lead to Baldness (Which I am Afraid Of).

I have coarse, frizzy hair. There's no question that this dryer left my hair smoother and softer. However, the dryer is too heavy to make it comfortable to use, and the switches are poorly placed on the handle. You can't hold the dryer without inadvertently changing the switches; there's no place else to put your hand! Too frustrating to use; I sent it back. How odd that such good technology can come in such a poorly designed package.

I am a professional hair stylist. This is the best dryer i have ever purchased. My clients wear their blowdrys longer and think that I am wonderful. they don't believe that it is the dryer. always follow with the cool shot all over, because it brings the hair closer to room temp and minimizes any reverting of your hard work.
Beware-Not for fine straight hair

I have long, straight, fine hair and this hairdryer is the worst for my hair type. The ions made my hair even more limp and thin looking with no volume or bounce whatsoever. Apparently, ionic hairdryers are only meant for those with curly hair that want to reduce frizz or straighten it. I went back to using a cheap regular (non-ionic) hairdryer ASAP and have much better looking hair now.

This is great for straightening African American hair. I have been a 5-6 week relaxer-type for as long as I can remember. After reading about how I could stop using relaxers and use ceramic/ionic, nervously, I am giving it a try. This dryer makes my 12 weeks of new growth very straight if I put my hair in small sections and dry it. If I get to a section that has air dried before I blow dry it straight, I spray a little water and straighten it. I highly recommend Babybliss products to my sisters who want the professional look and ceramic touch which is very silky.

I wanted to purchase an ionic hair dryer when the one I had for six years croked. I originally thought $68.00 was an awful lot for a hair dryer, but it proved its worth from first use. I couldn't believe a hair dryer could improve the texture of hair, but miraculously, this one does. I think somehow the ionic feature helps the conditioner penatrate the hair to a greater degree. It virtually eliminates frizz. I love the varied heat feature and find I can set my velcro rollers just as well with the warm setting as with the hot. Though this dryer is lighter than most, it does cause your wrist to ache after a while. Small price to pay for beautiful hair!

After many years of purchasing inexpensive hair dryers that usually broke down after a short period of time, I decided to do a search online in hopes of finding a more professional one at a decent price. After much research I finally arrived at the Babyliss product and purchased it. I am very pleased with this product and noticed an immediate difference in how my hair looked and felt after using it. It actually dries your hair faster and leaves it shiny and full like when I go to my hair stylist. The product arrived quickly and in great condition and overall I am happy with my purchase. The company was great to do business with and I would certainly buy from them again. I highly recommend Folica and this product.

I "think" that this hair dryer is better than others that I have bought, but if I'm not sure than what does that tell me. It's just as loud as my other hair dryer, it's heavier than my other one, and it tangles my hair. Also, I'm not too sure why the switches are on the handle, I tend to switch it unintentionally because that's where you hold the dryer. Although, it gives off extremely hot air and dries my hair faster. It also seems to make my hair smoother after I brush the tangles out, but then it could be the shampoo and conditioner I use. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or return it. Sorry, mixed feelings.
